Upon arrival one of the employees was right out front by the front door sitting on their bench smoking away sorry unacceptable then when I asked for help at the desk there was two gentlemen one was quite older headed back to me wouldn't turn around to ask I thought that was disrespectful he needs to be in a nursing home they did not have what I needed I understand that part but being disrespectful and smoking out front at the front door as an employee unacceptable

The prices charged do not match the prices posted on the shelves! This has happened twice to us with over $1 per item more at checkout. We will not go back! Rude and very unprofessional. No wonder the parking lot is always empty.

Great bunch of folks. Everytime I stop in they are always eager to assist me with my selection. Very personable and polite. They also can make most automotive coded keys, including the very difficult "side cut" keys. They have most key fobs in stock and have the computer to program the key in your vehicle. Not just a "clone" but an actual coded key that is exactly like the dealer. Their keys are about half of Dealership prices including programming. The store is exceptionally clean and well stocked. I highly recommend that you give them a try.

VETERANS BEWARE. MOST INSULTED IVE BEEN SINCE COMING HOME. 11/1/2022 went in in the afternoon around 215pm. I'm a disabled veteran cashier was rude told me to leave my small bag with my wallet and medications at the front of the store. Told me even people with a veterans hat like mine steal from their store. Not sure how not to be insulted. Will never ever buy anything from this store ever again.

One of the only places I have found in Highlands Co. that readily sells Redwing Boots 👢..... and their selection is very respectable. Couldn't believe the prices, especially in this economy! Usually pay $220-$240 for the type of Redwing I buy for work. This store was $180 AFTER TAXES! 👀😁👍 (and this store is not a shoe store, just a hardware store!!)... satisfied, return Customer to say the least. Thank You! Very pleased!!

The staff is very helpful and knew what I needed for the job I was doing which was getting electricity to a dock on a canal. They have a good selection of items although a little more pricey than home depot0

Buyer beware at this Ace Hardware! The Kensington paint card chip was wrong (formula did not match what was on card) and they would not even consider adding more tint to the can in order to make it darker, nor would they refund the paint. I'm still scratching my head as to why they felt it was my painter's fault, but what impressed me the most was their horrible treatment of him.Update: It's been over two years since I originally posted this and I still won't step foot in the place. My feelings about this place are still raw, and I've purchased a whole lot of paint from other places since. A WHOLE LOT. I sure hope it was worth it to them, saving that measly dime by making the customer eat their mistake.

Not a very customer service driven store, I prefer the lake placid store. They ended up having what I needed, but took the third employee to tell me where it was. They told me to wait and they would bring my purchase to the front, then was told,after 15 minutes, I'd have to drive around back to pick it up. Not impressed.

They tried charging us $41 for a 48 in. thermocouple which was priced at $13.99 at other Ace Hardware stores. We argued the price and he came down to $17.99. Watch out for overpriced items.
