My sister and I met up there to celebrate our Christmas together. My sister lives in Sebring and I live in Port St Lucie. My sister has eaten there before for many years, first time I was there. To start I got the eggnog Martini they advertised. It was yummy- nice presentation I love the wafer stick- order it with the whipped vanilla vodka! We had the Mushroom and Fish Bites appetizers- delicious! I then had a chocolate martini that was great as well! Our waitress was Bailey and she was wonderful- we even moved out to the patio- I know it's a pain when people move from tables as I'm a server myself- but she was great with it and even offered to help move our stuff. Bailey's shift was ending and we were still there and we had the next server whose name was Bailey as well. Two Bailey's how fun- must be a real blast when they're both on the same shift! Anyway, we ordered dinner and more drinks with the second Bailey. My sister had the Fish dinner and I had the Ribeye 12oz.dinner- our sides were the mac and cheese oh so yummy my sister got coleslaw and I got the hand cut fries and we both had salad. I was surprised it came with salad after two sides- most places don't - salad is always extra- nice- good value. Everything was very tasty.Before we ordered dinner we met the lunch chef and his sidekick- sorry guys forgot your names! We had some questions about the food and they answered it all - fun guys. We had an excellent time!!! The only thing I can say is I'm a Wine Drinker-it would be nice to have some decent Wines By The Glass- where I work we serve Sycamore Lane as the house wine and I hate it- sorry I drank for taste! They do offer nicer wines -Oyster Bay, but it's only by the bottle. Well of course be dropping by again sometime down the road. Friendly atmosphere, not fancy, but that's the way we like it - good food , good people- memorable time. I highly recommend dropping by if you're in the area.

I had the mild buffalo wings which were by far the best chicken wings I ever had. They were fried and then grilled and were crispy and delicious. I will probably get hot buffalo sauce next time. Also had the Smoked Fish Dip which was also excellent. Will definitely be back. And recommend that you give the Gator Shack a try. Good service also

For the past three years, we've been coming to Florida for the winter and have made a point of visiting The Gator Shack with friends from a nearby RV Resort. Thursday's all you can eat catfish has been our staple go-to meal accompanied by a Gator Martini. This restaurant has not failed to give us amazing food, service, and ambiance. I want to make sure the kitchen staff gets all the credit they are due. Bottom line, food quality is the most important part of any restaurant, and our catfish we ordered came out PERFECT each and every time. I also want to mention the wait staff and give extra accolades to our waitress, December. Her ability to take orders from a group table our size and manage to not forget anything is in itself amazing!!! Highly recommend you visit this location for some of the best "off the beaten path" food in Florida.

Awesome place. It's everything you imagined a gator shack would be and better.The service is amazing. The servers and owners are incredibly friendly.The food is off the charts amazing. The portions are absolutely HUGE!This place was a must visit.The gator dinner is awesome and so is the frog legs dinner.The loaded mash potatoes and loaded baked potato awesome too.The seared Mac and cheese is amazing. Coke slaw is fantastic. Fries are excellent. And finally the key lime pie was the best I've ever had.

It's a popular place with the locals. The staff back each other up, so even if it's busy, which it gets often during meal time, you don't need anything for long. The owner checked in with us while we were there. There's something for just about everyone on the menu, and being a bar, there's much to choose from. The food was tasty and timely. There's many different types of seating. You get the feeling that the staff really makes the atmosphere enjoyable. We had a great time and would go back again.

Great mom n pop spot, good food, great service, ice cold beer served in chilled mugs. Friendly staff, Ashley and Tory behind the bar are great! Will definitely be back.Update, went back for dinner. I had the ribeye steak, baked potato, and onion rings. Every bit of it was excellent.

Had a great lunch at Gator shack. We started with the Gator bites and fried mushrooms appetizers. Gator was a little chewy which is normal and mushrooms we're fried to perfection. They were served with the house sauce which was okay. I ordered the blue burger with homemade french fries which was excellent. My lunch partner ordered the Monterey steak sandwich with fries which was okay. We also tried the Gator lager beer which is brewed local. Our server was attentive and informative on the menu items. Friday and Saturday starting at 5:00pm until closing is Steak night . I've gotten mixed reviews on steak night so I will definitely be back to experience it myself. All in all for my first time at Gator shack it was awesome!

Absolutely delicious! We drove by here so many times and decided to give it a try. 10/10 amazing. Very chill environment, the waitress/bartender was an absolute sweetheart and the food was phenomenal. I definitely recommend The Larry! And if you like chicken gizzards, they are lightly breaded and delicious. We will now make this restaurant a habit ❤ Totally looking forward to trying more menu items 😍

Food was okay for me, but I will say I didn't have the steaks ( which you pick from a cart wheeled to your table) or hamburgers. Would have liked larger gator bites. Burgers looked awesome.Terrific family place. Owners on-site working hard.

I ordered the gator bites, didn't really taste like. Chicken but had the thick texture of pork. I also tried the blackened fish grilled which wasn't bad. Hubby ordered the gator po boi. He liked it n would rate a 5 as best. Good choices was recommended by locals. Price was mid range. For 2 adults, 2 dinners and an appetizer woth just water was $46 and a good tip after.Dietary restrictions: Pick what you want on yout meal. Has optionsParking: Easy on a d out and plenty of roomKid-friendliness: Seating is plenty, high seats or low seats, options bar area versus family dining area.

My husband ordered a ribeye steak well done. It came out black and burnt. It was rare on the inside. Personally, I would have sent it back, he however, would not. I tasted it and it did have a good taste after I cut off the burnt outside.I had beef tips which were good. When the bill came I noticed it was higher than it should have been. I brought it to the waitresses attention and she said they up graded it to a 12 oz instead of the 10 oz he had ordered. I'm glad I caught it. She adjusted it since it was not that good. It's a popular place and it was hopping. People must have good experiences or it wouldn't have ben so busy. The sides were good.

Great experience with my out of town visitors. The food was great for all 8 of us! The service was good and the tiny gator on the kids cups was fun for them! We were very glad we decided to visit here!Kid-friendliness: High chairs available. Nice kids menu. The tiny plastic toy gator was such a nice touch!

Lightly breaded mushrooms very good. We had the seafood platter with fried gator, grilled shrimp and grilled fish filet. Everything was very good and even though they were packed when we arrived, the service was phenomenal and all food came out very quickly. Nice atmosphere inside. I would definitely suggest this restaurant to others. If I'm back in the area I will visit here again.
