This is a great place to buy food. They even offer hot food freshly made. Many bars with choice from around the world. They sell fresh organic if one is into that. The location is downtown and has a nice big parking garage. I’ve lately started looking for Whole Foods just for my lunch. Give it try!

This Whole Foods is cheerful and for some reason the staff are a little more attentive than other locations. Love the vegan baked goods (carrot cake = OMG) and outside seating.

Is Whole Foods trying to kill us? Firstly, all their cakes and baked goods contain very unhealthy ingredients such as Polysorbate 80 which is a petroleum based ingredient. Some of the baked goods such as the muffins contain bioengineered food ingredients. Worst of all, they call themselves “natural” when they are using all these toxic ingredients in the bakery. This is unacceptable for an organic supermarket and will never be buying from Whole Foods Bakery again.

I visited this store 2 evenings in a row intending to buy dinner at the food bar (around 630pm). The 1st night, I noticed most of the pans empty or containing little very little old food. Many of the pans had nothing in them & were “clean”. Some of the serving utensils were sitting down in the food dishes as well. The place looked like a messy school cafeteria. Also, there were not many people at all in this section of the store- so it wasn’t busy. I left that night thinking it was a fluke. I went back the next evening & found the same scenario for the most part. I decided to stay & buy food because I didn’t feel like sitting in a local restaurant. $25 for a box of food, not many choices. This is not the case at my local Whole Foods in palm beach county.Aside from that, the rest of the store is a typical Whole Foods. It was clean, well stocked & very nice employees.

I love Whole Food, 1st., Sarasota. The healthy pizza is wonderful, and my favorite is the tuna salad with cranberry raisons. Today, I went to Whole Foods to buy the tuna salad. I use a walker, and a lovely associate helped me find them, and she walked me to the cashier. I think her name is Monica but forgive me if I forgot the name. To the manger, say thank her personally please, I use a bright pink walker.

Had some Amazon returns. I was confused as to why it took me so far from home to make my returns, but it did. They gladly accepted them. The associate was very friendly and polite. She explained that Amazon owned Whole Foods and that’s why the returns went there. It was a little confusing. Trying to figure out where to go once I got there. Their customer service desk was kind of tucked away, making it more visible when you’re leaving rather than when you’re entering the store.

I always enjoy visiting this store. They have an amazing range of foods and always something I have never seen before. Their pastries and buns are good. Their hot and cold food sold by weight is amazing. It's not cheap here by any means, but the quality is very good. Recommended.

This place was huge & had so many options to choose from. Their hot bar, olive bar & salad bar were all well stocked! Many prepared meals to choose from. I just wish it was closer to me! We were visiting from out of town. Definitely, a great experience. Enjoyed all the different types of food & brands that they offered.

I go on a Saturday.. there are two different tortellini dishes on the salad bar and then in the deli case there is an another huge tortellini dish!I go on Tuesday and they have three different meatballs on the salad bar and no pasta.Also, can you please offer salad dressing that DO Not contain sugar!!!!

Fresh, organic food here. Beautifully displayed. Kind, friendly employees who helped me find what i needed. Prices are extremely high, though. I can get fresh items at a farmers market or at Deitwilers cheaper. They do have a huge selection of ready-made items. One could have a nice lunch here. I'm sorry, though. With the prices that high, in these times, I will not be going back.

As a peripatetic person, I feel about Whole Foods the way many people feel about Starbuck's: it's comfort food. No matter where I am, I can walk into a Whole Foods and expect to find nutritious products and friendly staff. Their food bars, which have returned in many locations, are often my choice to spend lunch and sometimes even dinner in an unfamiliar city.

We don’t have a Whole Foods in our area so it’s always a treat when I go to Sarasota and can pay the store a visit. My favorite is the bakery with all their fresh baked goodies (try the rugelach cookies). I also enjoy the prepared foods section especially the soups (love the dal soup). There is adequate parking and I don’t wait too long on lines. Also, excellent customer service!

When delivering groceries Whole Foods uses a cool pack and silver disposable bag to keep groceries cool. We are loyal customers and when we asked them to do that today, they refused. Groceries here cost an arm and a leg. Why can’t they include this when asked? At the Orlando store they gave me the silver bag and cool pack, which was super helpful.All of the Evolved Chocolate products, both on sale and out of sale are being sold long passed the expiration date, resulting in their products tasting rancid. Nuts like hazelnuts need to be eaten before expiration or they will go bad and taste rancid.

If I wanted private label products, why would I buy their house brand 365 anything? This mystery-brand (in the annals of branding history this one will go down with a thud) has supplanted so much at Whole Foods, yet the quality is intermittent at best.Everything 365 is not great. So what's the point? If I go to Trader Joe's I know that every single thing I buy is awesome. Not so anymore here; hence only three stars for you Mr.B

The worker that makes pizza is extremely slow and doesn't know how to make pizza. There is too much flour on the bottom of the pizza. This location USED TO have tasty pizza.

While in a way, Whole Foods is just another grocery store, in another way, its something completely different. Yes, you'll find peanut butter, but chances are unless you've already shopped at Whole Foods, you'll see a brand of peanut butter you've never seen before. Yes, you'll find cereal, but what brand of cereal? Now, this does not mean you won't find your familiar brand, but if I was playing the odds, I would say you wouldn't. Furthermore, even if everything in Whole Foods is in fact unfamiliar, one shouldn't make the assumption it will actually taste any different from your familiar brands. But then again, it might.

What could go wrong? Good and tasty, natural and organic. Huge and extensive choice. Fresh produce, fresh meat, fresh fish and seafood, very well choice of frozen food, freshly made sandwiches. Yeah, sandwiches... How about MEDIUM RARE chicken in your curried chicken salad sandwich? Do you ladies & gentlemen have any quality control or safety measures? I hope no one got sick. 🤢Update: thank you very much for your generic reply sending me to your "help" page. Unfortunately i don't have any additional question regarding this matter. If your "team" wants to look into my recent visit - I think it's rather clear: you have full description of the problem and pictures clearly showing what happened. BTW, your chat reps work the same way as your prepared food team.

If this store really wanted to contribute to our wellness, they need a serious overhaul. Let's start with the bakery. All of their baked goods use conventional bleached flour. This means it's covered in glyphosate, bleach, and potassium bromate - this is the same chemical used in pesticides and fire retardant chemical spray. Potassium bromide displaces iodine in the receptor sites making our bodies bromine dominant and iodine deficient and no it doesn't matter how much iodized salt we consume. Next, let's talk about the hot bar. EVERYTHING is made with CANOLA OIL or SUNFLOWER OIL. No, it does not matter if it's organic or expeller pressed - it's a seed oil. If you have not yet learned about how seed oils are terrible and not fit for consumption - please educate yourself. Let's talk about the fresh olive bar - also all in seed oils. Unacceptable. Do you think that in Italy they harvest their olives and then put them in a seed oil? No. Let's talk about what's on their shelves. An absolute seed oil and sugar nightmare. Granola, dried fruit and even trail mix has oil in it. Bags of nuts, crackers, popcorn, veggie burgers, frozen pizza, gluten free items, "vegan" items - you name it - 95% of these foods are NOT FIT for human consumption. All a company like Whole Foods / Amazon needs to do is notify their vendors that they need to take seed oils out of their formulas in the next 365 days and magically - Whole Foods might stand a chance of actually doing something beneficial for our wellness. The next time you buy something here, read the label. And if you are not satisfied, leave a review. We vote with our dollars and can voice our opinions with reviews. This is how we make change and I would love Whole Foods to be the leader of this change because right now, it's mostly Trash Foods.

Good quality just like every Whole Foods you'll shop at however, staff is not as nice and kind as other locations and every time I come here they're out of even the most essential items like wheat bread, eggs and sour cream. When you pay Whole Foods prices you expect Whole Foods service!

Amazing staff! Jasmine went out of her way to accommodate me with ice for my salmon. She anticipated my needs just by hearing my plans. Larry and Luigi were great as well. Not all Whole Foods are great. I’ve had several issues with stores in NC and VA. Kudos to this one as you all are great!

This super, super market specializing in organic meat and produce, gourmet items and most of the items one would expect to find in most super markets. They will not usually have normally branded items that your neighborhood markets carry, but will have an alternative worthy of consideration.
