Staff is nice, seems clean, but I am done shopping here. In the last three months I have gotten rotten produce multiple times, and expired meat three times. I was in a hurry today and didn’t check dates, not that I should have to. This stuff expired 2/4 and 2/8. I bought it today, 2/12. I’ve also had issues with party tray orders being accurate, and hair in a sandwich.I’ve lost all faith. Obviously nobody’s paying attention to details here.

It's fantastic! Two stories, with a parking garage underneath...in Florida this great..cars can become dangerously hot. There are elevators, escalators and stairs. When leaving there is a special escalator for your cart or take in elevator. It is super clean, well stocked with friendly employees.

I must say that this is my first time posting a review (compliment or complaint) about anything, but I was kinda having one of the roughest days I have had in a while and being a former Publix employee (warehouse DC) it becomes very easy to blame and complain about every aspect of service at Publix. I bought a gift that I expected to be activated immediately for use while shopping at Publix and it wasn't so (with a receipt) I became very frustrated because customer service didn't seem to care at all that I had just spent my money for it and offered no solution but to demand a Manager......The acting manager Ms Shanti Harris restored my faith in everything a customer should expect. She took my card, my receipt, and my information and by the time I was done shopping she found me in the store and informed me that she had called, corrected and restored what I paid for. Sounds simple but I've never experienced that type of service. Thank you Ms Harris for restoring my faith in my hard earned money!

This is an overall quiet and organized Publix with friendly staff- I really like this one, and it is so convenient for my office location- grab some sushi for lunch and go! My criticism for Publixs' in general would be to stop wrapping 95% of the produce in plastic :)

Great products. The store in Sarasota was crazy being on the second floor, using special escalator to move the carts. Being in Sarasota the prices were not bad.

Best Publix I have ever visited. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The store was really clean and organized. Nancy and Abel in the deli were amazing and made us fantastic subs! The manager was so personable and nice!

Been a loyal Publix customer ever since moving to Sarasota. My wife and I have learned the names of many wonderful, friendly employees. By the way, we really miss our Randy from the seafood department at the Beneva Rd store.Happy retirement Randy!My experience last week at this Publix on Bay Street was a bit different. Glenn in the meat department could not have been more rude, unfriendly or argumentative. After waiting at the counter, with no one in sight for quite some time, it was obvious I was bothering him when I asked for a cut of meat. Maybe he was just having a bad day. Everyone else on our visit was wonderful, like Jayden at the register, who was exactly what we’ve come to expect from Publix employees, friendly professional service.

This place has great staff! I got there kinda late on New Year’s Day and they were closing soon but instead of turning me away they rushed me in and were like “hurry hurry get in!” It was so sweet and kind and really shows they like their job and care about the people who come in their workplace.

Went to Publix today with my husband to buy dinner. We went to the self check out, and the older woman who was sitting down on her stool proceeds to stand at the register next to my husband and I. I could not figure out for the life of me why she suddenly felt the need to do that. The realization hit a bit afterward, but it was because my husband looks hispanic! That's it! Today is not the first time this has happened to us! It's very unfortunate that people still act in this way towards people in 2024!

That Publix is a joke. The parking sucks, the escalators suck, the elevator sucks and check out sucks. Most of the self check outs are card only and if a cash one is available its out of service and there is no one around to help you because the employees are too busy socializing with each other. I love Publix but the customer service has gone way down and the prices are going up.

The Publix app would not scan the QR code on the checkout machine so I did not get my discounts. Assistant did not help. Strawberries I got there had mold on the ones on the bottom

One of the things I've noticed throughout the years about Publix that other grocery stores don't do?They adapt their stores to reflect the local areas.This Publix was in a Sarasota neighborhood and was a two story store.The bottom was a parking garage and you either use the elevator ,stairs or escalator to go up to the main floor.The unique method they get you down to street level with a special escalator is innovative. You can also use an elevator to go down also

I was at the Bay Street Publix on December 6, 2023. I had to purchase several gift cards for our employee holiday party that is coming up. I went to the service desk where there were 3 other customers ahead of me. The first customer, an elderly woman, wanted 2 rolls of nickels. The man behind the counter, Richard, abruptly told her that they do not provide banking services. She said something I could not hear, but it appeared to me that Richard was getting frustrated and he raised his voice slightly and repeated that he cannot get this customer any nickels. He then called for assistance at the Service Desk where an associate came up right away and he asked if she could help the lady with the nickels. This girl told the woman that she would be happy to help and she would be right back. The phone then rang, and Richard became animated and looked a bit frustrated. He then helped the 2 remaining customers without incident. It was then my turn. I started to move over to his register and he abruptly told me to stay where I was. After witnessing all his previous actions, I said to him "I'm sorry you're having such a bad day." He again raised his voice slightly, (not yelling) and said "I'm not having a bad day, why would you say such a thing. What do you want?" At this point, I was done with him, and as an afterthought, I should have asked to speak with a manager. Sorry this is so long, but Richards customer service etiquette that day was, in my opinion, unprofessional and not up to Publix's standards.

2nd floor and parking garage, which is different from any other publix I have been to. However, there is lots of signage, which makes it easy to navigate your way in and out of the store.

Gabby, Michelle & Hoen in the pharmacy have become valuable members of our Healthcare team. One or another of them have called or found us in the store with a question, to tell us or to warn us about medication issues, etc. They are all incredible people who go well above and beyond to care for their clients/patients.

I ordered my pub sub online expecting it to be ready when I got there, it wasn't. They were making subs for people who got there after I made my online order. Two other customers were in front of me. The woman put on onions for my sandwich, of which I didn't want. I had assumed she was making a sandwich for the person in front of me and then questioned me why I didn't say anything when she put on the onions. Look, don't blame me for your mistake because you don't know how to read my order. It clearly says on the online receipt that I wanted peppers and mushrooms, of which you failed to put on. Then you proceed to give me an attitude after you make my sandwich and hand it to me. Blame your own incompetence of not knowing how to read my order. Not only that but I ended up having to wait past my order time of over 30 minutes of when they said my sandwich would be ready.

A great super market with a huge selection. It's big with good spaces between the aisles. Very clean and very nice. Both inndoor and outdoor parking. The store is at the second floor.
