We came to Fl for the winter with a new pup. First dog to be on a completely raw diet. We were excited to find Marlins with a great variety of foods! Frozen, freeze dried and more. They carry Steve’s which we had already been using and we were introduced to the raw, frozen meats which are pup liked immediately! The store is in S Sarasota, which is a drive for us, but worth the trip every time.

First off, the staff is amazing! They are always so happy, friendly, and informative!They have a wide selection of different raw food options. You also can not beat the price when buying in bulk! I was originally using a service that shipped my dog's food in, but finding this local gem was the best thing to happen! We went there with our pup, Aster, for a new place to buy our raw food! The service was amazing upon opening the door, and they came and loved on him like he was one of their own (he absolutely loves all of the staff there).There were tons of freezers with so many pre-made options for cats and dogs, so many frozen and freeze-dried treats and even pure organs/grinds to buy as well! They carry all responsibly and sustainably sourced brands, and offer so many different sizes and items to try. They don’t use bags, instead they opt to use their boxes from previous truck deliveries instead of throwing them straight out!The service, food, and pricing is great and you can’t beat it! Plus there are additional services offered in the building that I haven’t gotten to take advantage of yet.Highly, highly recommend shopping here!

You can get your exotic and raw pet food here. It is fantastically expensive, but it has been very good for my dog's health. Weirdly, this is also a chiropractic office. The owner is a human chiropractor but is moving to more treating pets. So, if your dog has joint pain, maybe check it out.I get frozen raw turkey in 2 pound tubes There is a slight discount at 10 and 20 units, so it's worth it to stock up. I also get frozen fermented raw goat milk, which my dog really likes.

Marlin’s has been the best choice for my dog. They have multiple quality raw food brands at prices I can work with. My White Golden Retriever’s hair changed within a month and her teeth look awesome. Erin and Jess are both knowledgeable and genuine, and you got to check out the raw bones and treats too.

Marlin’s is great for me and my dogs. I live in Nokomis and drive past probably 6 other pet stores to come here instead. They carry the best, healthiest raw options and the staff are always soooo nice and friendly. This is the only place I have found a premade raw mix that my Chihuahua doesn’t turn his nose away from. The raw meaty bones selection is great too. My dog loves the duck wings.

I just transitioned my dogs to raw and also just arrived in Sarasota for a vacation with my 2 dogs. I was so happy when I found out that Marlin's had all the raw food items that I needed! On all my visits they always had all the food I needed and also were able to provide help in meal allowances. They also provided some advice on holistic remedies for my very anxious rescue. I highly recommend seeking them out for your pets wellbeing; they are awesome!

This is an interesting concept. As far as I can tell, all they sell is raw food for dogs. The staff are very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. They'll walk you through the whole selection process and dial in the specific amounts to feed. The quality of their dog food seems to be quite good as well. It is a bit of a commitment though... A) it's very expensive compared to even traditional high end kibble. B) You have to go there specifically to get it. C) Unless you're prepared to go there frequently, you need to get a freezer to store enough food. D) You're constantly defrosting and handling raw meat. That being said, the dogs love it and it's eliminated most of their allergies and skin problems. We recently purchased a small freezer to help with C) and we're also going to start buying bulk to help with A). Considering how much better our dogs look, it's worth the effort and expense. As an added bonus, since so much of the food is actually digested as compared to kibble that is loaded with fillers, the "yard waste" is about half and without getting overly specific to not gross anyone out, the consistency makes it so much easier to clean up 😃

We have been feeding our dog raw food for 7 years, just moved to the area, it is nice to have a place to go to for our raw food of this quality and variety. You do not have many places that sell raw food here in Venice or Sarasota. The quality of food is much better than the ones in they sell in the pet stores. The people inside are very nice.

I have been a customer since Marlin’s opened and I haven’t regretted the decision to frequently purchase my raw food anywhere else. Carol is so attentive as is Erin. They are a pleasure to go see every 6 - 8 wks for refills of dog food. My dog had a very itchy coat that could not be controlled with the meds out there. The raw food did the trick and he is now going on 7 yrs without a major problem. BTW my dog is now 16 and heading towards 17. I can’t say enough for Marlins’s and I recommend them to everyone.

Was I ever wrong! They have several options, and are very knowledgeable about all of their food. They help you navigate the entire process. I am so impressed with this place!!

I’ve been ordering food for my dog from Marlins for the better part of 2 months now. He’s taken very well to his new diet. Not to dive into why we’ve decided to feed raw, but the customer service and consultation on what we feed him and the amount of education the staff has provided us is what has made this place shine. If I place an order and a time frame, it’s packed and ready to go when I show up to pay for it. If I happen to walk in to grab food, I’m out the door in minutes. If I’ve noticed a difference in my dogs BM’s they’ve been great to recommend solutions in change of diet, and which has resolved any issues. I preach to my dog owning friends to take a visit to the Marlins. Really can’t say enough good things about this place
