went to store the other day and was closed because they had no power, went back the next and asked for the extendable poles used to change light bulbs on high ceilings and they said they dont carry. Sorry, but a hardware store should carry those poles.

If you're on the west side of 41 this will save you a trip to the big big store. Worth the small premium to save time and hassle of driving to the interstate and dealing with that hassle. Great selection of nuts and bolts, much better than any other place in SRQ for sure. Highly recommend giving the locally owned chain a try, you won't be disappointed.

Don't do business with DG Ace Hardware. I generally prefer to patronize locally owned stores and I have shopped at DG dozens of times over the past 8 years (since we moved to Sarasota). Today I tried to return a box of low voltage staples that I purchased on 7/6/23 for $4.07 (unopened package with receipt). The clerk refused to take them back because it had been more than 30 days since the purchase date. That policy cost them one customer (me) and I encourage any one reading this to think twice before you go there as well. They stuck it to me over $4 ... what would they do to you over a larger purchase ?

I visited to get 6 keys made. The young man that helped me was wonderful. We chatted and laughed and chatted some more. It makes me want to lose my keys so I can have an excuse to come in and get some more made. I'm probably going to return this weekend for some PVC pipe or a rake...I haven't decided yet but it's only Thursday so I've got some time. Kudos to you and your team!

Always helpful folks. I ordered a new stainless Weber grill. They delivered it assembled a couple days later. Price very competitive And delivery was free. Always feels good to buy from a locally operated store.

I had some glass cut here yesterday and when I got home, I discovered that it was not cut accurately. The manager, Bob, was very gracious and quickly recut the glass for us free of charge. This store gets five stars from me for excellent customer service. Every employee that helped us went above and beyond.

Great place to get your paint! The quality of the Clark & Kensington paint is INCREDIBLE. Painted a wall turquoise in a single elegant coat thanks to the advice from my Ace man to buy satin. SHOP LOCAL first always!

You never have to search for someone to help. You walk through the door, you're asked what you need, and someone is summoned who knows how to help you and then, actually does! I've never left without what I needed, and whatever it was, it actually worked and lasted. And I didn't feel I had paid a premium for the ease of it all.

Knowledgeable associates to ask questions and get some help. I like the ability to buy the exact quantity of nuts, bolts, and washers instead of the prepackaged blister packages. As Ace Hardware advertising says, they have the 'helpful hardware man'!

This is the way hardware stores started out to be years ago. A little bit of everything and A LOT of Customer Service. My Ace on Clark Road I have been going to it for almost 20 years - they know my name, my family and have watched my children grow- along with every new color of paint on their walls and the patch kits they've taught me how to use on their walls. More than just making keys and mixing paint, all the Ace Hardwares in the neighborhood are like a close by friend support system when you have no idea how to fix something but you are sure glad they know what they are talking about! And they do it with a smile...That's worth the price of admission!

I waited repeatedly requesting help and when it I finally got theattention of one of the reluctant staff, they showed ne the wrong item. going to a local store like this should provide more caring staff and the expertise that you do not receive at one of the larger department stores, however, in the case of the store it provides a much higher prices with none of those benefits

Why on Earth do they offer discounts that come in the mail which you can never use. Let us be as rarely have opertunity to ever use those 10% off deals on products I do buy. At least let us opt out from junk mail

Clueless to any concept of customer service. This store is so painful to even enter because the staff really don't understand their products as they should because their prices are so much higher than Lowe's or Home Depot. Their register software is primitive and cumbersome that using their coupons requires double the time at the register. I dread going in and can't wAit to leave usually empty handed. How this place stays in business is beyond me.

I live off University and travel all this way when I need to go to Ace Hardware. These people are Beyond kind, funny, welcoming, and extremely helpful! If you need keys made find your way to Robin. She's the key Ninja And her outstanding personality will make your day a thousand times better. For all your chainsaw or equipment needs get a hold of Bob! This guy is pretty Epic when it comes to not knowing what you're talking about and just showing him a picture and he handled everything I needed. I don't know what management does so differently here, but this Ace Hardware is better than any other one in the state!

All the perks all the clerks in the store no where everything is and they are waiting to help first person they see in a Isle. It's really nice walk in a store and if you can't find anything they're willing to help but they do not have Hound a and pest a customer to buy something I'm very friendly everybody that works in the store has a smile on their face

Ace hardware is always a convienent place to go for the little things that are needed. I found my favorite go to place at DG Ace hardware because of the attitude everyone has there. Everytime I enter the store I'm greeted with a smile and an offering to help me locate what I need. It makes me feel.... Special.😊 A valued customer. DG will continue to be my go to place.
