When we visited Sanibel, I knew I wanted to stop by MacIntosh Books + Paper. I could have spent forever browsing the perfectly curated books and goodies. The visit was definitely enhanced when we were greeted by the adorable feline manager. I definitely didn’t leave empty handed.

My mother and myself went to the island for the day and it was cold and cloudy. I was kind of upset but going to this shop made my day. The owner was the nicest lady and it was very nice talking with her. The store has some very cute bookish items that I of course had to buy. I just loved going here and would definatley go back!!❤

It is great book store PLUS. Some unique items and good book selection. Staff was super, including the fur baby. 🐈 Very helpful. If you're looking for something a little different for yourself or someone else, MacIntosh Books + is worth the stop.

My absolute go-to for books, cards, wrapping paper, and gifts. I have gotten so many wonderful and meaningful items from MacIntosh. They will even deliver around the island! I never order or buy books from anyone else. They're a wonderful part of the community.

This charming, delightful independent bookstore on Sanibel is a frequent stop while shopping on the island. Great selection of books and more! The owner is very knowledgeable, kind, professional and friendly.

This bookshop is just so so cute. Rebecca is so sweet and her and her staff are so knowledgeable about the books they carry. Also, Brady is the best shop cat I’ve ever met. (and super photogenic!) It’s important to support our local indie’s during this hard time especially, and you can order just about anything on their website. <3

Lovely little bookstore. When I visited, there was a small rack of 50% off books outside the front door with some great choices on it. Inside, there’s a nice selection of stationary and paper items to the left. The majority of the rest of the store is books. Diverse, interesting selection of cookbooks. I wish I had more room in my luggage because I found 3 I wanted to buy on the spot! The table of staff recommendations had some great selections as well. I even noted a few shelves of what appeared to be local books focused on Sanibel.There is a small children’s section at the back with a decent selection of chapter books and picture books, considering the size of this little shop. There are also some high quality puzzles, games, and paper supplies from companies like eeboo and Mudpuppy — two of my favorites for puzzles and games. I grabbed a new card game for my boys because if I have to play another round of go fish on this vacation, I might go crazy. Ha! There is a very small selection of board books, which I’d say is not surprising (it is a small store after all) but I’d be happy to make some interesting, quality board book suggestions if they are looking to add to this section in the future. I did grab one board book for my new niece because it was a favorite from my childhood.The young woman at the cash wrap was very friendly and we chatted for a few minutes, which always makes me more likely to come back to a shop. If I manage to figure out a way to fit some books in my luggage, I’ll be back for a cookbook or two!

Looking for a book for my great granddaughter's mom and dad to read to her while she's still safely tucked into mom's tummy. Lots of selections; very helpful and pleasant people asking to help in any way they can. Gift wrapping for free. Long time on the Island and doesn't disappoint.

We stopped in here for some reading material on our vacation. The selection is somewhat limited but it is well organized and the store is well designed. The lady who runs it is very helpful and sweet. They have many of the local authors as well which is nice to see a local store pushing local talent.

Local little book shop with a friendly cat. Its not big but even if you're not a big bookworm, they have cute and unique knickknacks and gifts. Still worth it to check it out.
