This is a Vetco review, 10/10 would recommend for a wellness check and shots. The front desk staff is patient and kind, vets a knowledgeable and friendly with pets. The vet asked about concerns multiple times and knew lymph node placements I was super impressed by this visit

I was blown away by the level of concern and care for our kiddo "Merle". I thought I had a problem from a previous visit. The office manager reached out to me and promptly made accommodations to address the issue. At the appointment, the Veterinarian was AMAZING. He clearly explained the "issue" in detail. I was incorrect in my assumption from the previous visit and for this, I sincerely apologize. I feel so much more confident moving forward taking the absolute best care of our fur baby and this 100% has to do with this experience. Thank you so much to you all!!

Friendly staff, clean store. I love the grooming employees as well, they do a great job and the dogs always look great after. Highly recommend this location and use it as my main hub in Sanford/Lake Mary area for my dogs grooming and needs.

I have been coming to petco for years since I have 3 dogs. There was a young lady at the register I believe her name was Gisselle. She helped me out at the counter and she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions since I was interested in new brand of dry food for my pups. This location a Great place to get all necessities for your pets and staff is very helpful!!!

Very clean and organized store! Selection a little skewed to Petco's brand, Wholehearted, but can't blame them. Everyone in this store is so kind and helpful. Abigail was my cashier today and she was very attentive and patient with me!

Petco has everything I need for my critters. The calendar is worth buying, it if full of great coupons in the back! I love shopping the clearance and the “oops!” stickers for great deals! Store is always clean, and the staff is the best! If you need help or have questions they will help you! Grooming does a great job there. And if you have a dog that needs some manners, go there, the dog trainer is awesome! Overall, best pet store in town!

I ordered dog food on line they always had the order ready for me to pick up. I prefer the Sanford store because the staff there is very polite and extremely helpful with advice about dog treats, dog food and now I do buy dog treats from them too

I wanted to write about the service I received from Tasheana at Sanford Petco. She is such a pleasant person, always has a smile to give. She is always very helpful to us. She goes above and beyond her cashiering duties. If we are looking for something, she helps us find it. When we had trouble redeeming our reward points, she assisted us and showed us how to redeem them. Tasheana is an asset to the store and we wanted her efforts to be recognized.

Only good for pet food (sometimes), toys, and treats. Never buy reptiles from them. I don't want to be too rude because I'm only 14, however, last year, (2021) on August 7th, I bought a ball python from Petco. I wasn't oblivious and I knew the risks of buying a snake from Petco. Exactly a week of owning him I noticed he had mites, so of course I called the store, and they said to bring him in and they'll have a look at him, so I did just that. They told me to return him and I did. He was super sweet and calm, but I didn't know if he was only so calm because he was super sick. Anyways I got my money back and as I'm going to leave, I over hear the manager behind me say, "Put it back on the shelf, it's not dead, it still has value."EXCUSE ME? WHAT. The snake never received the help it desperately needed and got treated like an item for profit. That was a life used for only money.... they didn't care.... I guarantee he's probably dead and I feel god awful for not doing anything. So life lesson. Don't buy reptiles from Petco. Please. Don't support in their cruel ways of treating these poor creatures...Iggy baby, I know you're an animal and can't read, but wherever you are, dead or alive, I wish all the best for you, my sweet, sweet boy. Mama loves you so dearly and you deserve so much more than what the world could ever offer. Rest easy baby.. 💖

The manager Brook was amazing, but Brook contact customer service for us and the service rep. mentioned that my order was done through same day delivery which is arranged through Door Dash. I DID NOT SET UP same day delivery, I have Petco’s App with the option to have recurring purchase for my dog’s food. So I don’t know HOW my order got switched to same day when my recurring purchase has been set for two months. This created a lot of hassle, my dog ran out of food, the refund was taking a long time, and the Manager had refund the money onto a gift card so my wife can re-purchase the food. Just has been a major headache.

The vet at this location is the most unprofessional I have ever seen. I had a confirmed appointment for today with my dog. The appointment said 1pm -1:15pm. I arrive at the appointment 1:15. His frondesk tells me that they couldn't see me because I was minutes late. That they had more app book. Dr. Lindsay Gallagher is the most unprofessional I have ever seen. She came out and she told me that she couldn't see me because she had an emergency inside. Everything is a lie and a false one. I waited from 1:15pm to 1:48pm to see if they could assist me. Another appointment never came in and the Dr left through the office door at 1:48pm. This shows the lack of professionalism and insensitivity in her work. I have the evidence that the Dr left the Door at 1:48 to her car. It is really a great disappointment that there are Dr. All employees justifying the poor attention of Dr.

I've only given this one star. Because that's the only way that I could post anything. Do not take your animal to the vet at this location especially if you have a older pet. I have a pet he is 13 years of age when I adopted him he had heartworm so severely they could not treat him my pet dog requires a special allergy to keep him from festering up with hives, and the vet wants to do blood work ro see if his organs are failing this is after I, and the vet has had conversations regarding no medical treatment for my dog just palliative care only to keep him comfortably as he is slowly actively dying. This clinic only cares about filling their pockets with money and not about the Pet hes 109 pounds and my mom is 71 its very taxing for them both to fo to the clinic. They haven't required blood work for over 2 years and now want it and refuse to fill it dor him. When i asked what would happen if they did the blood work and it showed what is obvious (hes again 13) his organs are failing what will happen. The response was we won't fill his medication. Insane!!! Very sad! We have Hospice dor humans but nothing for our beloved animals bow hes going to suffer because these non caring people won't give my dog his needed medication, I will no longer bring my animal to this place. I'm Praying to find a vet who has compassion and will help my dog. Anyone know of a mobile vet?

Brought my dog here for grooming today because everyone else is booked out for at least a week. Now I know why they had availability. My dog’s haircut is horrible!! We were called and told she was done and when we got there- they were still trimming long spots all over her. She now has clipper lines all over. A bald patch on the back of her neck and there is long patches of hair all over her. They didn’t even trim parts of her that we specifically asked for. Advice for others- wait for availability at one of the good shops!! This cost almost $100 and I could have done it better myself at home!

I walked into Petco a couple of months ago to purchase a sweater for my dog and on my way out. I started talking to one of the groomers and her name was Samantha. I have used so many groomers in the past few years and paid a lot of money to have my doodle groomed but was never happy after talking to Samantha. She seem so sweet and listen to every word I had to say so I decided to schedule an appointment to have my doodle groomed by her and I have to tell you I couldn’t be happier I have already booked another appointment with her in four weeks She did a fantastic job on my golden doodle and she is an absolute sweetheart, and you could just tell she loves her job and loves working with dogs!!

I absolutely love taking my dogs for their grooming here.Sam is always amazing and loving towards them. My dogs may hate water but I trust they're in the best hands. I also love the convince of the veterinarian in store.

Got pictures with Santa! Staff were helpful, even when busy, and it's very clean inside. Would've brought the dogs but they're too naughty for santa 😂 prices are steep on some things but they do have occasional coupons and sales. And with paw points you get $5 back every $100 you spend that you'd be spending anyways on treats and such!Got the sweaters and antlers on black Friday for under $25!!

This petco is nice….as in they have a nice selection and the animals look well taken cared off.The employees complain about doing their job a lot…I suggest a new policy: Customers should get a 50% discount if they have to get their own fish out the tank cause the employee is incompetent.Also, Petco, you have a sexist employee amongst you I suggest you nip that in the bud. It was great! We just adopted our 2nd kitten through the T.E.A.R.S. Seminole County Program and could not be more thrilled. Best pets, so loveable. Then I was able to get all the pet food and litter at Petco. Also the floor cushion I have been looking for was right there in the store on sale. Perfect day ❤️❤️❤️

I have been seeing Angelina at the grooming department for quite some time and I really loved how she groomed my dog.However, this past Sunday was the final straw. I had thought that my pups grooming appointment was at 2:30 however come to find out it was at 2:15; when I noticed the time it was about 2:20; - I immediately threw my dogs collar on and ran out the door. (mind you I live five minutes up the road)- I called and asked to speak with my groomer Angelina; to let her know I was running late due to the confusion in time..This unprofessional grooming manager named MICHELLE picks up the phone and says that Angelina can’t come to the phone to take the call and she proceeds to say my dog can’t be groomed; she had a rude and condescending attitude when I asked her to explain how 5 minutes past the grace period, would translate to my dogs entire four hour grooming session being canceled..At this point I was in the plaza, so I hung up the phone and went inside with my pup; Michelle approaches me with this smirk on her face and I immediately let her know I did not want to converse with her because of her attitude over the phone.So she had another “so called” manager named Brook repeat the same exact thing- “oh you can only get his nails clipped, do you want that?” No obviously I don’t want his nails just clipped when I have a FULL GROOM booked- duh! So I asked her if he could get a mini groom instead which would give Angelina more than enough time to perform the service- Brook gives the same robotic response “no, she would run behind”.. Hmm.. that makes sense.. you would cancel out a four hour window because I’m five minutes over the grace period.. I told her just forget it - I would go else where or choose to book on my terms and walked out!I proceeded to go into my vehicle and rebook another appointment when all of a sudden my account looks blocked. These petty females “refer my dog out” and block my grooming account because I asked them to do their job and explain why he can’t be seen??After many attempts of trying to get a hold of the store manager Alex; I was finally able to reach him almost a week later and I explained the situation and if it was policy and proper for their manager to have an attitude with the customer and than block their dog from getting groomed all because Michelle was salty after I stated I didn’t want to speak with her?? Super super petty!He, (Alex) explained that she has the right to do so when they feel “uncomfortable with the customer”; I was completely flabbergasted- I did NOTHING aggressive to her - neither has my dog- I have the right to say I don’t want to speak with someone who was rude to me and for this reason my dog can no longer get groomed here??He also informed me that “Angelina” no longer feels comfortable dealing with my dog- NEVER has she been rude to me or ever told me she couldn’t groom my pup NOR was she even involved with this situation because as Michele stated she was dealing with other dogs and couldn’t come talk to me on the phone nor in person.So it’s obvious that Michelle went back to the grooming area to gossip about what occurred and to manipulate the situation so that she could get her “vengeance” by “referring my dog out”-Sweetheart- you have some customer service and management skills you need to learn! Your attitude and inability to explain why my dog couldn’t be groomed has made PETCO LOSE MONEY and a faithful customer!I WILL be calling corporate about this incident and I WILL be canceling my Petco membership as well. And I WILL make sure I post on every single social media outlet possible what happened so that none of my friends or family book any single service with you!

I miss the old store. It was bigger and more of a selection. Their dog toy prices are expensive compared to the rest of the market. We really enjoy their groomers. Very friendly staff and our dog enjoys going. Their training classes are definately worth it. We bought 10 classes and our dog pass their good citizen test.
