Max’s has truly been the best! The store is very clean and well stocked with a variety of items for your pets. The staff and management go above and beyond and give exceptional customer service. The groomers make your fur babies look and smell wonderful while making them feel comfortable. My pets always feel welcomed and enjoy going into the store and they especially love the pampering they receive from their groomer, Marie.

My dog Dakota LOVES going to Max’s and seeing everyone, especially Ria! She clearly loves dogs and does such a great job with her baths and making her white legs and spots colorful to match her personality. Our other dog Mickey was a 17.5 y/o Bischon and she took her time with his delicate skin and made him look like a puppy 😊 Highly recommend!!!

The owner Troy and his staff is awesome! They really spent time talking and educating us about food and other items in the store. We also love the groomers. They always take time to come out and love on our pup even if we aren’t getting any services done !

Couldn’t recommend this place more! We were instantly greeted and taken care of when we walked in for a nail trim for our chocolate lab. Troy was incredibly attentive and kind, as well as the groomers. They really care about each animal and owner that walks through those doors and that’s what’s most important to us. My mother took our sweet puppies there and they absolutely SHREDDED their ears. They “claimed” their ears were matted (which they tried to pull with a previous client upon looking through the other reviews) and that they were unable to keep their hair long or even cut it correctly. Their hair has never been matted in the seven years we have had them and this “issue” has never occurred before. They are brought regularly with absolutely no issues. The staff turnover is a clear indicator of why this place is horrible. Go anywhere else, do it yourself even. If you are a dog groomer, knowing how to SAFELY go about mats should be a given. Take some accountability and stop deflecting the blame.This is my mother’s yelp review: “ I brought my dogs here for about 6 months, about 5 times. The first time I brought them they looked and smelled great. Each time after that it got progressively worse. The 2 guys that groomed them the 1st 2 times no longer work there. They were great. The time before last, one of my dogs still had some knotting behind her ears and I had to bring them back for a grooming around 4 weeks later because they smelled and looked like they weren't groomed in months. The last time, just over a week ago it was terrible! Tasked the groomer to give them the same cut they always got, long ears and tail, short everywhere else. I also asked her to CLEAN their ears.. I picked them up and was shocked to see that she shaved all of the hair off their ears and injured the inside of both of my poor dog's ears so bad that he has a 1" scab in one ear and about a 1/2"'"' scab in the other. Needless to say, I won't be going back there again! I'm pretty sure they don't even bathe them because they never smell good when I pick them up.”

This place was absolutely HORRIBLE! They hurt my dog so bad… DO NOT waste your money here. I spent 88 dollars to have my dog cut anal glands feet done and ears cleaned and all I got out of that was them shaving my dog bald and hurting his ears… absolutely not acceptable!!!

Took my dog there today for a groom. We are full-time RVers just passing by so it is always hard to find somewhere to take him. Their online reservation system made making an appointment really easy. I had checked the reviews and saw good notes on Maria so that is who I scheduled, and she did a great job. I also love that they don't leave the dogs in cages. And they have opaque glass between the store and the grooming area so (I assume) you can see in but your pups can't see you. The retail space also seemed very nice.The only miss was they called and texted the wrong number to let me know my dog was done, so he was stuck there an extra hour until i called to find out why he wasn't done yet. I'd have been more irritated had he been in a cage that whole time.So net, if i lived in the area I would definitely repeat.

We have been coming to Max’s for over a year now. Max’s in Mirada is so easy in terms of scheduling and the location is convenient to access from Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills, or Dade city.What keeps us coming back though, is our favorite groomer, Betsi. Betsi has definitely been a godsend. We have a very hyper and friendly puppy, and Rizzo absolutely adores her. From the time that we park, he literally sprints out of the car, pulling on his leash to be able to get to Betsi. Not only is Betsi amazing, but the entire staff there is very loving, and even when I call to make my appointment, they know my baby by name. We love Max’s Mirada, we visit every month, and we will continue to do so.

Love Max's! We have been customers of the Wesley Chapel location for a couple of years. We called the new San Antonio location to see if we could schedule a grooming appointment for our two toy schnauzers, Lola and Lucy. They were able to get us in later the same day.Alex and Louis did a FANTASTIC JOB on both of them. Great attention to detail. Highly recommend them for all of your pets needs

Highly recommend.This was our first visit to this location. We called ahead to see if they had space for 3 nail trims/grinds. The woman who answered was very kind and helpful and let us know they had availability.We arrived about 10 mins after the call.The store was clean, well organized, and well stocked. (As usual for a Max's) as soon as we walked in we were greeted and made our way to the grooming desk. About 2 mins later, all 3 of the groomers came out to meet us and the pups. They were absolutely amazing! They took the time to introduce themselves, ask us what we needed, and even provided some helpful information.We have always had great experiences at the other locations but the team at this location has definitely raised the bar.I can't say enough positive things about this team but I can guarantee we will be return customers.

Horrible gapped up haircut on our dog. She has so many gaps and they even missed cutting under her stomach in two places! $68.00 thrown in the trash! Wouldn’t let them shampoo my cat at this point!

I read so many good reviews about this salon, that’s why I took my little doggie there for a full grooming and sadly he was hurt all over his body, irritated, cut, red… I wait for him to get better but unfortunately everyday was worst that I have to take him to the vet and pay extra money.. definitely I wouldn’t go to this place again.

I highly recommend Max's Pet Market & Salon on Mirada Blvd. in San Antonio, FL. Everyone who works there (including the owner) goes above and beyond to provide the best service. All the groomers are very loving to my dog Elsa when we arrive. Our groomer, Marie, who gives her Thera-Clean microbubble baths, really cares about providing Elsa with the best possible experience while she is there. If your dog or cat has skin allergies or needs a deep cleansing bath, I highly recommend a Thera-Clean bath. Well worth it.The owner and manager have provided nutritional guidance to help Elsa with food and supplements that will also help with her allergies. Their products are well-researched, so you can feel confident that what you are feeding your animals is high quality. The store is well designed with plenty of products for dogs and cats. Thank you, everyone at Max's, for wanting the best for my dog Elsa.

I was VERY pleased with Riddle's grooming. I had been asked by another VERY large chain to "find another groomer" because Riddle is a dancer and because the doodle part of his is very poodly, his fur mats ALOT. He doesn't like his feet touched and he's a jumper. Luis did a phenomenal job and my baby is beautiful. Thank you Max's!

I specifically told them don't cut the ears or tail but they decided to cut her ears anyways. The girl upfront tried to tell me it was because of the bows that were pulling the ears up but that had nothing to do with the length. Disappointed!
