I highly recommend Blackhawk kennels to anyone searching for a healthy beagle puppy. I came across Dewitt online, after diligently searching for months, for a honest, reputable breeder. He answered all my phone calls, many texts and questions. He continued to keep me updated after sending deposit, while we waited for our baby girl to be born. Yesterday, we picked her up, and she is just absolutely perfect! It is clearly evident that he truly cares about his beagles. Thanks again, Dewitt, Molly has completed our family.Update: Molly has been home now for 6 weeks. She is absolutely amazing. Very, very smart, perfectly healthy, has a beautiful coat, energetic and so much fun. We will definitely be getting another pup from Blackhawk in the near future.Exactly one year later, (April 2023) we got our 2nd pup from Dewitt, and we couldn’t be happier. I am so thankful I found Blackhawk Kennels. Dewitt and his family raise high-quality, beautiful, smart, healthy pups. Both Molly and Hunter are truly the perfect companions. We adore them immensely.

We got our new baby on Friday 4/21/23. We can't begin to say what an amazing experience it was with Dewitt and the Blackhawk folks. They communicated all the way through and we could not be happier that we chose to get our new member of the family from them!! Harper will be a year old this month and we are so in love with this little nugget!!

Breeder was very responsive to my emails. Brought my puppy home about 3 months ago. She is a healthy, smart, energetic and affectionate gal. She gets compliments on her looks everytime she goes out for walks. We love her!

I've been in contact with Dewitt Griffis for a few months and he's been extremely understanding and responsive. My plans had changed last minute and I already placed my deposit, I assumed I would have to forefit but he was so understanding with the whole situation and told me that whenever I'm ready/capable of bringing my future puppy home to just let him know. I'll keep everyone posted on my review when the time comes and I get to bring my new fur baby home :)UPDATE: We brought our puppy home about 2 months ago and absolutely love her! She's the sweetest thing, full of energy and extremely sociable. Everyone tells me how healthy she looks and how shiny her coat is. We ended up getting the smallest pup out of the litter...she's about 12 pounds and 4 months old.

Honest, great communication (text, email, phone). Experience was great. Dewitt is very knowledgeable, honest, courteous, and extremely helpful. My puppy was ready to travel (to include a health certificate for the plane/airport). Muchas gracias🐶💚💛

I don't have a Beagle from Dewitt Griffis yet, but I wanted to write this 5-star review to balance the negative 1-star review left by RDH ROH, because he is actually very responsive. I cannot speak to your experience, RDH ROH, but I reached out by email about getting a puppy, and he responded to me rather quickly. Maybe it was just a bad day or the voicemail didn't go through...I don't know. I would give him another chance. He is a nice man.

They have a lovely website set up with phone numbers to reach them at & everything. They never ANSWER THEIR PHONES & DO NOT HAVE VOICE MAIL though. Their Kennel is located just one County away from me & I'd love to hear from them to purchase a Beagle.

I adopted the most beautiful, well tempered, healthiest and sweetest beagle from Blackhawk 2 years ago. She is so kind, gentle, and happy and I couldn’t imagine life without her. If I ever adopt another beagle I will go here. Dewitt was always responsive and kept me informed through the process. I’m so lucky to have gotten my puppy from him.
