This PetSmart has the dog food I want on the shelf. If you need assistance, they will help you lift those large bags into your car. They helped me fit harnesses on my dogs as well. The people are very helpful.

Got my dog groomed here he has gotten groomed before and they called to tell me my dog was aggressive which he is very sweet. And when we asked about it the people were very unprofessional and rude! I’ve taken my other dogs here for grooming and they suck they left there nails long left pieces of hair untrimmed! Stay away from this place they suck at there job and are very rude!

I came here Sunday for a nail trim for my 2 dogs. I waited around at the desk about 5 minutes before anyone spoke to me. Then I waited another 5 or 10 minutes until someone told me to wait outside the salon and someone would come get me. 15 minutes later no one came so we left. Came back at 10:30 am today and stood at the counter waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Waited some more while 2 girls with no dogs stood there. Finally got checked in. While retrieving dog 1 after her nail trim I was forced to listen to the girl with colorful hair cuss using the f...word about the customer who just left. My fearful dog 1 had to go back in when I noticed her dew claws weren't cut. Even dog 2, who is always happy to come here, was shaking on the table. Been coming here over 2 years happily, first time I didn't tip. The salon has changed drastically. I will be looking for a different salon.

Took our Shepherd in for a Furminator. That consists of bath, brush and nail trim. Normally an awesome job. Very disappointed today. Not brushed well at all. Didn’t smell nice like she normally does. Almost $100 with tip and I have to go home and brush for hours. Not sure I’ll be back.

The first time we came here I watched my dog being dragged across the floor by his leash until another groomer had to say something to the woman about it prior to picking him up. I thought okay maybe she is new. Today I brought my schnauzer in to get groomed, now we are talking about a dog who has been groomed for 2and half years with no issues before!!! The manager, same one on duty from the last incident, reported she could not cut his face or legs saying he was trying to bite her and when asked what happened, she just rolled her eyes!!!! Now my dog is home panting and acting scared. I will be getting ahold of corporate tomorrow. Please beware if you use this location!!! Should have not gone back after the lady was dragging my dog across the floor!!!!!

Wanna give credit where credit is due. Since deciding to add our baby girl Leia to the family, PetSmart has been my go to for supplies. Every interaction with the associates has been fantastic and personal. Hunter is amazing! Super friendly, kind and loves on our little girl everytime we come in. Last night Leia completed her first puppy training with Alana, and OMG!!! What a difference it has already made in our girl. She taught us (mom and Dad) a few tricks to help with some problem areas ex. Jumping up on us when we are eating, barking, nipping, and worst-excessive burst of energy just before bed. Her knowledge and expertise has already been such a HUGE help. I plan on training Leia as a therapy dog and was so happy to find they have a program to help me with that. I look forward to future classes and working with her to get Leia well trained. Thank you all so much!

Hunter is by far my favorite employee at PetSmart. He is so knowledgeable and super informative. Also has the best personality. He’s been helping me with my German Shepherd puppy the last few months. All in all I love this location and its employees! Thank you all!

I've taken my Yorkie to private groomers & Petsmart. Price wise pretty comparable, but I have found Petsmart groomers to all be friendly, care for my pup, easy to work with, do a great job & easier to find available dates & times.I use the Petsmart in Port Charlotte, FL.

Check all of your cat and dog food products in store before purchasing, do not buy products with paper packaging. This PetSmart location as well as both the Kings Hwy and Punta Gorda Walmart locations are infested with worms (possibly ordering from the same distributor). I have bought multiple bags from each that have been seemingly fine on the outside when purchased and after getting home I’m finding worms (dead and ALIVE) not only stuck to the outside of the bag but burrowed into the food pellets themselves. Found a bag I intended to purchase today (hoping PetSmart being more expensive would be higher quality and avoid this issue) and as I turn to leave I find both live and dead worms on the outside of the bag. I handed the bag to what appeared to be a supervisor, who did not seem shocked.

We went yesterday to have our dogs nails done. We had an appointment and slightly early. Out of the 4/5 groomers there, only one smiles and talks to you, her name is Carolina. She has been the only groomer that has been there for the past 3 years.The others act like zombies. No smiles, no greeting, no acknowledgment at all! Our one dogs nails could’ve been done better but I wasn’t gonna put my dog through it again with Ms.Personality (Alyssa)This happened the last time I was there ( it wasn’t as bad ) so I just chalked it up as they were having a bad day. Clearly everyday is bad. We won’t be back!

This was the worst experience. To start off I dropped him off and they didn’t even conduct a thorough look at his coat, nails, etc. I was asked what I wanted him cut to and I said anywhere between a #5 and a #7 (he is a mini-poodle and beagle mix with a very thick curly coat and I like him to still have his curl.) I arrived there at 2:30 and he wasn’t taken in until 2:50 by my own fault because I had to get his shot records that I had left at home. I left and was told he would be ready at 5:30 so I said goodbye to him and went home. I was called at 4:37 that he was ready to be picked up. This was the ONLY call I received and I have my phone records to show that. I arrived and the first thing that was told to me was that he looked weird. They grabbed him from the back and I didn’t even recognize it was my dog at first. He was shaved at a #10, his paws and his face weren't properly trimmed, and he was visibly shaken up. They told me he was too anxious so that’s why he had to be shaved at a #10. I wasn’t called or notified in any way about the change that they would be taking into their own hands on MY dog or called that he was having anxiety and maybe it was best he be picked up and we take a different route. The excuse to his claws not being cut was that they looked fine. I’ll attach pictures below of his claws. At the beginning of the visit I was asked if I wanted his teeth brushed and specifically said NO. On his pawgress report they marked that his teeth were brushed. They left a passive aggressive comment in the report claiming he was extremely anxious and hard to work with. To top of this lovey experience the lady who did his grooming told me he needed to be neutered because it would calm him down. I didn’t pay her to give me unsolicited advice about my dog. Simply to groom him the way I asked and she couldn’t even do that correctly. When we got him home, he is completely terrified of women, he has a horrible shake and we found a cut on his ear that we weren’t informed about. He is clearly traumatized from his experience and it breaks my heart that I can’t go back and not take him to this horrible place. We called and they didn’t seem to care about the details so that the proper things could get done to make sure she wouldn’t do this to someone else’s dog again. They just refunded us the money and closed it up on their end. What about the money I need to take him to the vet now to do a deeper investigation of what’s hurting him since they clearly didn’t do a good enough job by letting us know about his ear and the huge blood red scrape on his back? What about making sure that the girl who did his grooming can never hurt another dog like that again and that she needs to learn better people skills? I’m so appalled at this situation and the way my dog was treated. I’d never ever recommend this place.

Great pet store. They have a good variety of nearly everything you need for your pets. Including for fish and birds and reptiles and such. It's big and well stocked. My go to place for my dog needs 😄

I get that it's a pet store but it could use a bit more cleaning. I bought a bag of dog food from here and it had maggots in the bag. They did do a full refund for the bag with no hassle. I go 2-3 times a week mainly for crickets. Never go on Sundays or Mondays because they are always out of crickets. Staff are always super friendly and helpful.
