If I could give no stars I would. I bought A cow roll here on Friday. Upon getting the roll home I realized that it was moldy on the outside so I took it apart some to see what was going on. The roll was moldy all the way through and smelled horrible. I called up to the feed store and spoke with the gentleman on the phone who advised me that they would replace the rol., No problem! I wasn't able to load the roll back onto my vehicle as I don't own a tractor but I took samples of it so that they could see how bad it really was. Everyone there agreed that it was smelled horrible and very moldy. They offered to replace it with a role that they had there. They had no roll that were not moldy. They all smelled horrible. I offered to pay the difference between a cow roll and a horse roll and they said that would be fine. The horse rolls were stored in a barn somewhere else so I would have to go pick it up. That was okay. So I paid the difference and then to find out they didn't have a tractor at that location at that time to load it for me. So I paid for two square bales of hay and agree that I would come back on Monday to pick up the roll from the feed store. Call before driving over just to make sure that they had moved it from the barn to the store and was told by a woman on the phone that they don't exchange. Hey no matter what and never have. That she would not exchange my roll. So at this point I have paid for a moldy rotten roll of hay paid additionally to upgrade it to the better quality hay which I have not received and paid for two bales of hay from this store. No customer service, no value in their customers. No respect for their customers. Never ever ever.,Will I shop at the store again. I'm having a difficulty even wanting to go back up there to at least get the refund for the difference in my hay. I've never been treated in such a way. From a "family owned store" I guess I expected better.

Update:The owner was out on vacation when all of this happened. Upon their arrival, they hastily recitified the situation and I’ve updated my rating to reflect that. Thank you for doing the right thing!!!!Avoid this establishment at ALL COSTS! Not only do they sell moldy hay, they then refuse to honor their word after they told the customer they would replace it. They were happy to take the money from that customer but the moment the customer had a concern, they refused to provide any kind of quality customer service and proceeded to harass her for calling them out.Disgusting behavior by someone posing as the owner, as he considered her honest review as “bashing”. Yes, small businesses may have a hard time in this economy- that doesn’t give you any right to sell a bale of MOLDY hay and then HARASS the customer for being upset about it. Especially after she was happy and willing to work with you and STILL buy more product from your store!!Nothing says GREED quite like how you poorly handled this situation.That customer is a particularly kind and patient person. I have NEVER once witnessed her complain about ANY business. Never ONCE.I’ll be the first person to say that the customer is not always right- however this situation was pretty straight-forward and Cattleman’s handled it VERY poorly.Have at least a little integrity and do the right thing.

As a veteran, I appreciate the 5% savings. So many stores don't even acknowledge, much less give a discount, that's why I continue to buy my feed and hay there. I can take my dog inside. I pull up and they load everything, which is well worth the tip! THANKS SO MUCH!Rachel

Bought baby chicks here 14 years ago,they were great. Bought 2 month old chicks here4 weeks ago,they have fowl pox. Very disappointed, all they had to do was vaccinate them

Last year I stopped buying cow hay roll, because my cows they don’t want to eat it. And now I when back to the store to try the cow hay again and my cows they don’t eat it. It’s the worse cow hay I have bought. To be honest they should do better with costumers service.

I would gave them 5 stars for the friendly service but due to that they charge you a 5% restocking fee when you go return an item is outrageous! I would understand if it was a big item or if you have multiple items but come on 1 item under $25 dollars. They should put that there's a 5% restocking fee on the receipt. I wouldn't shop here any more.

Feed n such. Hay for the wife, pig ears for the dog... the best part though, is the no bs atmosphere and respect to their customers - even goofy old guys wearing bright pink t-shirts blaring techno dance music when pulling up. Don't let the kid fool ya, he's a smart one!

Used to be great. Stopped buying rolls of hay here because the last time 3 rolls were covered in mold. Not even the cows ate it. Staff was helpful a long time ago, but recently not very informed staff. I'll try again, but on its last leg for me.

I have never ever had a bad experience with Cattlemen everyone is so nice that I can't see them treating people bad or poor customer service they go out of their way to help you I have been getting flea stuff from them for along time and not once have I ever had a bad experience. I bet the person whom had the bad experience is never ever happy with anything. They are good people so to say you were not happy with them then go to a chain store like Petco, Pet Supermarket

Great feed store with ranch needs, i.e. feeds for varied livestock, livestock medical and supplement supplies, fencing, posts, fence staples, insecticide, rodent control, dog collars/leashes, and more. Family owned-helpful, courteous staff. Pricing comparable/reasonable.
