I am very happy with our experience with Dr. Hefter and Premium Vet Care. Dr. Hefter came to our home to evaluate my senior dog's hind leg, which she was not able to use suddenly. He evaluated and diagnosed her and gave us peace of mind about the situation and how to proceed with her condition. We are so happy that Dr. Hefter was recommended to us by a family member who previously used his services with complete satisfaction. His assistant, who I now realize I did not get her name, unfortunately, was very kind and gentle with my little girl. I love that I did not have to bring my senior dog to the vet as this was a much less stressful situation for her. I 💯 percent recommend Premium Vet Care to anyone considering at-home vet care. Honestly, worth every penny.

This is the 2nd time we've used Dr. Hefter while in Florida. Our cat Ivo was a stray from Wilton Manors who "adopted" us in 2019. He's an indoor/outdoor cat.Both times Dr. Hefter responded within two hours of our call. He's very knowledgeable and scrupulous. Ivo got first class treatment.Our cat is not people friendly which speaks volumes to how caring and calming Dr. Hefter and his assistant are. For all the tests and treatment our Ivo received, the price was reasonable.Highly recommended!!

Absolutely amazing! I was panicking because my 6 year old German shepherd started acting very weird out of nowhere yesterday. I could tell he was in an immense amount of pain so I didn’t want to physically take him into the vet because he goes wild when he gets in the car or at the vet so I didn’t want to injure himself further.I called Premium Vet Care and they fit me into Dr. Hefter’s schedule for later that day. Dr. Hefter and his tech asked if they could come earlier than we had planned, which was phenomenal. Once they got here, they were great with my dog they did everything they could to keep him calm and comfortable while examining him. The mobile vet bus was clean and organized, and it was a great experience. My daughter was very concerned about her dog so they allowed her to safely watch the exam from a distance, which I appreciated because I wanted to be able to be in there with him, as well. Turns out he had a slipped disc, and they gave him a steroid shot and a muscle relaxer and I could immediately tell he felt some relief. Dr. Hefter was able to leave us with our dogs prescriptions with clear instructions on use and dosage which was greatly appreciated so we didn’t have to wait days to get him started.This was such a great first experience for us with a mobile veterinarian since I knew taking my dog in anywhere yesterday would have injured him more. We will definitely be using Premium Vet Care for all of our future veterinary needs. Thank you again!

I have been searching for higher quality Healthcare for my sweet feral cat. Yesterday, I discovered Dr. Hefter and his incredible Mobile Pet Hospital. The phone consultation was great. Although we don't need his services right now, he sounds like a wonderful Veterinarian providing this form of excellent Healthcare. I am so happy to know his Mobile Hospital exists. Pet owners like me can be at peace knowing this kind of emergency care is available for our pets. Thank you so much.

It’s taken me a little bit to be able to write this but better late than never... Dr. Hefter came out to my house in mid July to put my sweet girl to rest. I called him after getting some mixed feedback regarding my old girl. I needed someone to let me know that my decision was okay and that I was doing the right thing. My sweet girl was really struggling with a few different serious health issues and her quality of life just wasn’t there anymore. Dr. Hefter gave me his professional opinion and I am extremely grateful to him.He came to my house the same day I called, and made the process of saying goodbye a little easier for my husband and I. He spoke gently to us and walked us through the process. It was so hard to watch her leave us but I know we did the right thing. He stepped outside and let us have our final goodbyes with her which I greatly appreciate.The whole time Dr. Hefter was with us he treated my girl with respect and was very gentle with her. We opted to cremate so he took her with him and was extremely gentle and careful transporting her.While I don’t think anything can help with the sadness and the pain of losing your best friend I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to handle her passing. Although this was the first time I met Dr. Hefter, I felt comfortable with him and trusted him to take care of my baby. I would recommend him a million times over. So thank you Dr. Hefter for taking such great care of my Saisha.

Dr. Hefter is amazing. We have a mixed breed 82 pound dog who stopped moving and eating all of a sudden. I am so glad we were able to find Premium Vet Care. The doctor called me back right away, asked many questions to make sure we don’t need to rush to the hospital. Not only Dr. Hefter was able to take a great care of Scratch, but he also did an amazing job comforting us. We really thought we were losing Scratch.Dr. Hefter is very kind and professional and he took time to explain all the possible solutions. It’s been 2 days and our boy is already feeling better. It took me a long time to write but I needed to share that I had a amazing experience with Dr. Hefter back in June, 2021. Our 9 year old terrier mix had been going down hill but we thought we had a longer time with him. He went downhill fast one night and was in too much pain to bring to a local emergency veterinarian. I did a Google search for Veterinarians that did house calls and found Premium Vet Care. They originally told me they only did home care in Broward and I am located in Miami Beach. I think when they heard how upset I was they agreed to drive from Plantation to Miami Beach on a Friday night. Dr. Hefter had to put our Bo to sleep and I was able to hold our pup him while he was injected. Dr. Hefter explained each step of the process and then carefully wrapped Bo in a sweet blanket and we carried him down to his car.A couple months later a very kind man delivered Bo’s ashes in a beautiful wood urn along with a note, a rose and a imprint of his paw print.I will never be able to thank them enough.

His bedside manner is fantastic. I had a crisis with my cats and my local veterinarian was unavailable. Dr. Heftler came to our rescue and was beyond helpful. I highly recommend this Doctor and his team. You will get superior service for your most valuable fur babies. The service of coming to your home and being available late in the evening is priceless too.

I can't say enough good things about this service and Dr. Hefter and Jada. We used them for the first time last night for my Aunt's cat JP and they were amazing (no more traditional vet offices for us)! They made everything so easy (instead of even having us go down to the mobile unit (which is still ultra convenient) they brought everything to us (even a scale)! It is immediately clear by how they handle the animals and the people (great bedside manner) they know what they are doing! Any extra cost for the convenience is minimal and so HIGHLY worth it. I would give them a 10-star review if that was an option!

Inflated egos, zero compassion, client is supposed to call a robot like answering service, who passes on only "client called" message to office staff, who will sit on it for as long as they can, and if they dont like you....then forever. Then in rare occassions they will book appt. with Dr. Hefter. All this while your pet is suffering. He used to be a good compassionate doctor who now seems fraught with inefficient and self centered staff, red tapism, and total lack of professionalism. Simply put, they should not be allowed to practice.

Dr. Hefter was more than amazing. He came on a last minute, late night call, to put my best friend, of nearly 19 years, to rest. I was nervous having someone who I hadn’t met before do something so important, but he was extremely comforting and compassionate the entire time. He let me hold my baby in my arms, whom was calm and comfortable in the midst of Dr. Hefter’s genuine, caring energy. I’m eternally grateful for his peaceful departure, thank you for the wonderful work that you do. The world needs more people like you! 🙏🏽💛

I am so grateful to Dr. Hefter. We have a 115lb American Bully who suffered a fractured hind leg. Dr. Hefter came to our home at 6:30pm on a Saturday to see our boy. We were so impressed by his mobile hospital. He was willing to do surgery right then and there. He also allows the option for the animal to go home with him for round the clock care post surgery. Having the option to have our pet cared for in this manner and by a doctor that comes to your home is priceless. If I could give this review 10 stars I would. Prices are very competitive and the personalized care is spectacular. Dr. Hefter loves and cares for his patients, it’s one of the first things we noticed. I highly recommend Premium Vet Care, having a fully equipped mobile animal hospital drive up to our front door was so hassle and stress free. Such a wonderful experience. I used Dr. Hefter today for both my cat and my dog, and all I have to say is wonderful things! My dog hates... HATES going to the vet and typically is very stressed even after he is muzzled. Dr. Hefter allowed my dog to feel comfortable with him in the home first and also allowed us to assist in keeping him calm and comfortable. He did an amazing job!! Also, with the cat! Absolutely amazing. And truly cares about not up-selling or over charging you for things you can buy at Chewy or elsewhere like other vet offices I have been to. Would highly recommend to anyone!!

Firstly, I would like to say I have been in the veterinary industry for 14 years, and have dealt with many veterinarians. When my elderly and chronically ill dog had a stroke at 9 pm at night, I was desperate to find someone to euthanize her and prevent further suffering. With other euthanasia services closed. I thought I was going to have to take her to a 24 hour emergency room, which would have been stressful for my already uncomfortable dog. Luckily, I tried calling Dr. Hefter after a quick Google search. When his answering service picked up, I didn't have high hopes, but Dr. Hefter soon got on the phone and was at my house within 20 minutes, despite the fact he mentioned he had just dropped his technician off (which told me he most likely had decided to quit a little early that night). He was extremely nice, had wonderful bedside manner, and was thorough. His medication combination and premed was that of what is considered the gold standard in the veterinary industry. It was as good of an experience as one could have saying goodbye to our beloved dog, Maggie. Thank you Dr. Hefter for showing compassion and professionalism with a new client late at night. You are appreciated.

We are so grateful that we found Dr Hefter when we did for our 9 year old Great Dane Wilson. Earlier in the year he had been diagnosed with heart disease but was doing well on his medication. Unfortunately in October he started not having much of an appetite and that’s when I found Dr Hefter who came out to our house on a Saturday night at 8:00 to examine Wilson. Dr Hefter is very caring and helpful— he truly cares about the animals. He has also met my husband on the side of the road at night to get us some medication Wilson needed. Our dog Wilson is a giant Great Dane and hard to transport places - it is so convenient to have a veterinarian who will make house calls. Thank you for all that you do for the animals!!!!!

Dr. Hefter is an extremely compassionate and wonderful vet. I reached out to him with an urgent situation as our 15 year old cat needed help to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Every other vet we contacted wasn't able to help us but Dr. Hefter came an hour north to help us even though we'd never used him before. He was very kind throughout the entire process and we're so grateful he was able to help our boy transition in his home.

Dr. Hefter is an amazing doctor and a wonderful human being. He came to my home to help me with my overweight elderly dog who I can no longer bring to the vet . He took his time and was very gentle and caring for my baby . He explained me step-by-step what was going to happen and gave me options for the comfort of my dog , he genuinely cared and I’m very grateful. I'm not one to post negative reviews unnecessarily. But maybe someone in the clinic should try to answer their phone? If that's the only way to get their attention, then I guess be it.If you're a customer: > click "lowest star" reviews > see their snarky responses to every 1-star review/inquiry. Who attacks their reviewers for bad reviews?Is that coming from a professional vet/vet clinic? Or mcdonalds?I've been trying to reach this clinic since March. Then realized I don't need to schedule with them. Saw 2 other vets. They were quick, nicer and charged me much less (not surprised about the last one).Just wanted to post this after reading the reviews. So people don't make the mistake to cling on to them during tough times when their pet is ill.EDIT: in response to owner reply, would you like me to publicly post screenshots of all the miss calls and texts? lol

Dr Hefter was wonderful with my dog. He explained everything and took the time to discuss treatment. Mobile vet hospital is state of the art and equipped to do X-rays, surgeries, anything you might need for your pet. They came to my home late at night and responded quickly. I am BLOWN away by the amazing and seamless experience I had last night!! I called & Dr. Hefter personally answered, and was at my door in less than 30 minutes to help my furbaby out with a bad UTI and administer an injection. The whole experience was positive and made me feel so at ease. Not to mention that he was so nice and treated my old girl like she was the first patient he saw that day. It was mega convenient and actually was a little less $$ than what I would have paid if I drove an hour to an emergency clinic. I will DEFINITELY be using Premium Vet Care in the future. Dr. Hefter is one of the most caring, compassionate and knowledgeable vets I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. He recently purchased a fully mobile, state-of-the-art mobile vet truck and can now perform almost any service in comfort and convenience, at a very reasonable and competitive cost. Update: 08/20/2021It came time for our final maltese to say good-bye to us and we knew without a doubt that the only person we could trust was Dr. Hefter and his staff. The compassion, professionalism, gentleness they provide far exceeds any vet we have ever encountered. We can not begin to say enough about this wonderful vet service. The entire staff is simply amazing. There is no one that I would trust more with my precious fur babies. Outstanding!Update: 6/3/2021Once again we called upon the services of Dr. Hefter and once again he was excellent. My husband had a late flight to get hime to say good-bye to another of our Maltese family members. I called to pre-arrange a time to allow my husband to make it home to say his good-bye. Dr. Hefter was so very accommodating and once again the most compassionate and professional person when dealing with emotional pet parents and making sure our little one went peacefully. Five stars just isn't enough. Dr. Hefter is the BEST.Just moved to town and had to have find a vet after hours for our Maltese that had gone into heart failure. I am SO thankful to have found Dr. Hefter. My family has 12 rescue dogs. Unfortunately, today we had to put one of them to sleep. The entire process was so much easier with Dr. Hefters guidance. He came to our home, answered all of our questions and made the entire heart breaking experience much better with his gentle touch, expertise, and professionalism. My husband and I feel so blessed to have had Dr. Hefter help us with the extremely difficult process of letting our almost 8 y.o. fur-baby girl Lulo go peacefully. He was so kind, compassionate, and patient throughout the entire process. Wow, what a great experience. I have to start by saying Dr Hefter really took good care of my dog, which had an allergic reaction to something in my yard. I didn't have to try and put Bandit in a car and rush through traffic and then have to wait in a lobby for assistance. As soon as he arrived within minutes after consulting me he was already caring for Bandit. What a great service you do for the community!!
