On several occasions i have tried to purchase items advertised in sale catalogs mailed to me from west marine that have windows of time the sale exists. without exceptions when i went by the store the items were out of stock .This happens even when i go by on the first day of the sale. They will not honor the price and only have a limited stock of the items on sale. Seems to me this is just a draw to get people in the store and with no disclaimer is false advertising.

Good selection but everything is ridiculously expensive and they don't have any waterproof phone or smartwatch accessories. Very helpful in the line and emergency radio section. Need a small handheld waterproof vhf radio with gps digital sos beacon.

My first time in West Marine. I walked in the door and Tabitha said can I point you in any direction. I knew I was in the right place then. So I walked over to The anchor section and there's where I met Bryan And what a pleasure that was he is so knowledgeable about anything and everything that I ask about and was so truthful. He saved me so much money by telling me what the product did and what other products do. I am so pleased for West Marine. So I finished with Bryan and went to the cashier and there's where I ran into Tabitha again she was such a pleasure friendly and helpful. I was about to walk out the door when the manager come over and thank you for coming in. Wow five stars all the way around

I love West Marine! Yes, tge prices can be a bit higher than Wally-World, but, ask a Wally-World employee what PFD you need for off-shore use and see a blank stare come back at you!West Marine is always the best place for Marine gear!

Polite helpful staff with an outstanding selection of all things boat. One of the best return policies on the West marine brand items. Not cheap though, but it also won't fall apart easily. Highly recommend.

You can find much more online for cheaper prices. Also, you get harassed a zillion times if they can help you with something. I understand they do it for theft reasons, however, it ruins the shopping experience for someone who just wants to take their time and browse. They definitely lost alot of business with us as my husband was getting frustrated being asked repeatedly every few minutes if they could help him... we decided to purchase a few things and we left, we will complete the rest of our shopping online.

The place is clean and the staff are nice. Unfortunately, they didn't have an xs dog lifevest but they had at least a dozen size small (& several other in larger sizes). Plus, I gave a staff the display shoe in a size 11 and requested the partner shoe. She gave me a box with size 13's and told me it was the pair of size 11's. I should have checked behind her but I didn't. My fault. My wife picked out shoes but they only had 3 size options even though they had 5 color options. 😒

Extremely helpful!Thanks Bryan for your help. Clean. Orderly. Organized. West Marine in general is very expensive, and there's no getting over that.I have but one small nit pick... The lighting wasn't the best. Now, the lighting was great in some sections but lacking in others. That's a very small nit pick. Definitely going back.

Sure you can order everything in this store cheaper, but definitely the go-to place when you need it now. Typically the staff can vary from knows way too much to didn't make it as a door greeter at Walmart, but which is better I'm not sure. I am grateful to have a West Marine nearby though, and will continue to need them as long as I have boats.

Was not happy...purchased something over the internet giving my credit card information and was informed that the item had to be ordered - four days later - got a phone message top come in and pick it up!....I had to drive 20 minutes to the store and when I got there - they wanted to see my credit card which I left at home. Customer Service told me that they only authenticated my credit information when I placed the order.....Too much work to drive all the way back home to get the card...so I cancelled the order. You can buy the same items less expensive elsewhere!

The customer service at this location is phenomenal. Went here with my brother his wife my mom and step father. They all were able to find clothes and tackle boxes. One of the biggest selections of merchandise at a West Marine. Stop in and find what you need today!

200+% price increases are completely unnecessary. The store stock is great and nice enough employees, but I do not shop here because of the terrible prices. I believe if they prices were fair, the quantity of sales would increase. In the mean time, Amazon prime 2 day shipping is way too advantageous to warrant getting gouged here.

Amazing staff! Ronnie is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. I got my Bote here & absolutely love it. I can't say enough about how awesome Ronnie, Cody, Olivia and Brandon are. I only see their night staff and they are a great group; if you need any help at all they have you covered :)

Sure you can find most of the products sold here for cheaper online, but nothing beats the convenience of walking into your local West Marine after realizing mid-project that you need some marine-specific fastener or doodad to close up your boat for the day. (And what boat owner isn't always in need of something mid-project?) The beauty of this is that West Marine will match online pricing if you have the time to speak to a manager, so you'll walk out knowing that you didn't really overspend on your need-it-right-now purchase. Everyone at the Pensacola West Marine is super helpful, there's a Home Depot next door, and the Raceway that shares this corner sells ethanol-free gas at every pump — total convenience!
