Great place to visit with all the puppies! š¶ While I prefer to rescue or buy from private party rather than promote puppy mills, itās still fun to see all the pups and visit Jack, the turtle. Heās pretty awesome! Itās been many years since weāve bought a puppy so had no idea how expensive it was!! Uhā¦ $4500 for a golden lab, $4900 for a German Shepherd. YIKES!!! While they say the pricing is negotiable, that they have all the breeding history, and they offer a 3 year health warranty, the prices are still way up there!! I get it, itās a business. Besides that I have purchased dog food, treats, toys, beds from Petland at very competitive prices.

My family and I love the selection of all animals and friendliness of employees here. We are thankful that we can play with puppies in our own space without extremely high pressure sales tactics.For a pet store, this location seems to truly care about the pets and wants to give them the best. Unfortunately, this gorgeous puppy was a bit out of our price range the day we stopped in, but my son and I LOVED playing with her.

Petland is a great place for all of your pet needs. I personally come here for some live food for my python. They always have live rats and mice available. If you bring your own carrier, they do give you a tiny discount on the rat. They have some nice sized rats that keep the snake full for a few weeks. Will be going there again.And that big tortoise has free reign of the store!

We recently bought an Australian shepherd here and the staff was SUPER sweet especially Samantha. Our Aussie had a sister in Fort Walton we got recently 2 days ago! They are so happy to be together again and have such a good bond. We called a day before getting our recently purchased Aussie telling the manager about the sister situation we got $1,000 off because of the sister bond. The staff and the exit experience was amazing and made us feel super special, the floors could be cleaned a little more BUT I understand the stress and a lot of little puppies to take care of they canāt get everything. I definitely recommend

I am so disappointed as a long term shopper of Petland I feel this experience was a real let down and we will now advise everyone we know about the experience. This is regarding a Marina aquarium Heater !!! First, Donāt buy them they are garbage. Second we live about an hour and 30 minutes away from Pensacola Petland but as a family hobby we are proud owners of a saltwater reef tank. Well our old heater decided to go out and we quickly drove to Petland in Pensacola to purchase a new one. Well this was the beginning of our nightmare. We got home acclimated the heater in our reef tank and then turned it on. It would click on but then quickly turn off. Our water temps were originally 77-79f but we noticed the reef tank temp was consistently dropping. Drove back to Petland to exchange thinking it was a fluke. Well after another hour and half drive we exchange next day. Drive another hour and half home (2.5 to 3 hrs round trip) only to experience the same thing. Then drive back to Petland in ft Walton surely 3rd time is the charm right? Nope after getting home running over 100 miles each time round trip we find the same issue. This time I am upset but still remain calm. Called manager and spoke with them - I was told to bring it back and they would exchange it at the cost and provide a different brand even if more expensive. (We did and it might have been $10 more) Well 4th time and week later we finally have a working heater for once however this heater ended up costing us about $100 in gas and about $400 loss of our once beautiful coral. I am beyond disappointed in Petland when they call me and said they were removing all Marina heaters and would like me to call Marina. No that should be your vendors responsibility and they stated they lost revenue because of it well again your vendor should be reimbursing you because you purchased from them. Just like I purchased from Petland and they should have made it right. However as for a dedicated customer they refused to do anything about the amount of money we spent going back and forth and truly disgusted at our coral loss over $400 - I asked for the district manager to call me back however Alex called me stating he spoke with the owner and they would pull the product but could not do anything for our troubles. Well bad mistake because our family and friends all spend money there and we will definitely be telling them about this. Our mother in law purchased 2 dogs from there and you know those alone were $6K so I will be informing them and helping them find their 3rd fur baby from someone who stands by there customers. Not to mention the amount of money we spend there. After a week of very low temps my corals are in very bad shape. Definitely heart broken over my beautiful corals all dead or dying. The owner could not even call me back and just made the manager. Definitely if I could give 0 stars on my experience I would - goodbye Petland

We purchased our sweet boy here in October. We were told by the staff that he was a purebred standard poodle (with a hefty price tagā¦ hence the 100% poodle which we needed due to allergies to other breeds), but after his first few vet visits I was starting to realize his weight wasnāt up to the ānormalā weight of a standard poodles growth projection. I decided to order genetic DNA testing to learn more about his ancestry, genetics, health outlook, etc. since initial information and documentation provided seemed to be incorrect. Turns out, he is not a standard poodle and he is not 100% poodle, he is actually mixed with a terrier and will only be about 25 lbs (male standard poodles range between 70-80).I understand Petland was doing their job with the information provided, however being lied to while trusting the team and spending a great amount of money is unforgivable. Iāve attempted to contact the team multiple times after the first vet appointment in October requesting his parents weight (which I had to follow up on 2+ times over a few weeks to obtain), and again after finding out this information of what breed(s) our puppy actually is, andā¦ radio silence.We love our puppy. Itās just the principle behind the situation that I canāt get behind. We wonāt be purchasing anything, even something as simple as food or toys, from Petland ever again.

Petland is one of the few stores in this area to carry live mealworms for my chickens (my birds don't like dried). For dogs, they have a large selection of toys and treats. I recommend browsing the store to see what you find.

I donāt even know where to begin. Seth is amazing and has helped me so much with my tank and my axolotl. All though I purchased my axolotl from somewhere else, no one really helped me and there for my tank became where one couldnāt even see through it. Me being worried, and afraid I stoped by Petland and Seth was so knowledgeable and helped me through everything along with his friend. The other employees in the fish department are also so helpful and friendly and they ALL take the time to listen and help. That is something I have never gotten else where. They are not out to take money and sell what isnāt needed. They truly love what they do and it shows.Below is before( a long time that way) and now.

Petland is a nice store, But I live far from there. About an hour away. I called one day asking for a specific cat food, which they told me they had. I told them over the phone how far I had to drive. I asked to be sure. They said yes, we have it. I got there, and can you guess if they had this cat food or not? The answer is NO. They did not have it! So I am very disappointed and will look somewhere else next time.

Petland member, Vanessa was very helpful in seeing that my daughter and I found the prefect puppy for us. We are enjoying our new Bichon . All the staff were friendly and the store is kept very clean. Loved hearing the song Who Let the Dogs Out when were were leaving with our new puppy .

Fish are always healthy, which is great. The guy Austin is super nice, but the smaller guy with the beard and the glasses and his tall friend with the mustache and middle part are AWFUL. Every time I come in they are just rude and terrible. I donāt even shop here anymore and Iāve been a customer since I bought a dog here 14 years ago. The aquatics staff is just too rude and unfriendly.

If I could give zero stars I would.Iāve seen with my own eyes some of the most horrific things at this establishment. The way you treat the puppyās and dogs that you have is ungodly.. and absolutely breaks my heart. Then, you have the NERVE to ask a minimum of 2 grand.. most of the time well OVER that just to get them out the door and have to instantly go to the vet? This place should be shut down! And the employees should be investigated for being the ones to ācareā for the animals. The whole place is a scam and should go down for animal cruelty. Thereās people out here being charged for stuff like this.. why canāt big places like this suffer consequences either??

Bought a Bernie from them a week ago and was just able to pick him up yesterday. Management told us a few different stories throughout the week on when we could get him. There was a lack of communication. Also, Justin an employee was incredibly rude the whole week. He made side jabs at my wife and I because weāre gay, he laughed when we told him he was giving a bad experience, and he seemed high everytime we saw him. Make sure to not get Justin

BUYER BEWARE. Donāt listen to them about any return policies. That parts a scam. I bought two puppies from petland. Shortly after bringing them home, one would not eat and kept throwing up all over the place. I called petland and they took possession of the dog to get it checked at their vet. I had to do my own research about the vet and call them and petland directly to even find out what was wrong with the puppy. The vet called me and told me the puppy had a parasite and would have to stay. Come to find out that is common at places like this. The puppy has now been at the vet for longer than it has been at my house. Believing that petland was a large company and and would do the right thing I reached out to them for a refund of the one puppy, which they still have. They will deflect you to another company that you have to deal with to try and get a refund. On their website they say they have no decision making power and they only gather information for the store and pass it along to the owner. Donāt see why this is even in place if the owner tells the store manager that sheās not refunding me for the one puppy. However, I did reach out to the third party vendor to file a claim, and shocker, no reply. Somehow the third party vendor is there to help me even though the owner will not work with me. Seems pointless. Just remember, youāve been warned. Once you step out the door your on your own.

We bought our Teddy Bear puppy from here a little over a month ago. Let me start by saying my husband and I had been to the store at least a few times prior to selecting our newest family member. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. We were always greeted with a hello and helped immensely. Our experience here was amazing. We our delighted to say our little girl is healthy and just a happy little gal. This was also confirmed by our vet here in town. Please ask questions prior to purchasing any animal and visit a the pet store few times. Donāt be afraid to ask for help the staff here are very knowledgeable. They go above and beyond any other pet store I have visited. Thank you Petland š

The staff are very helpful. They have a huge variety of animals to choose from. They have lots of different dog breeds. They have lots of different fish species. They have ferrets. They have parrots. I would definitely recommend getting your next pet from this location.

Usually the fish are more expensive than other places Iāve noticed mainly because I see that they are of a good quality.if you are more into the fish keeping hobby, I would go here instead of petsmart or Petco because they have a wide variety of fresh water and salt water fish that are not mass produced like other pet stores(not saying any names petsmart and petco).They also have many LARGE live plants. But I donāt just go to the fish section there, I also bought my pet Chinese water dragon there.Usually when I buy a pet, Iāll listen to what the staff believe to be the āproperā information and do the research myself when I get home. But when I got back from buying my lizard, while doing more in depth research, I realized that they gave me really good info. I have now had rango ā his nameā for about three months now, and he is happy in his 55gallon terrarium with all the crickets,mealworms, etc. in the world. The only reason I put a 4 star is because they 1. Sell puppies... well I donāt need to say anything about that. And 2. When I looked at the fancy bettas, they had large bowls with moss balls, large containers, etc, but when I stumbled upon the veil tails that were in a separate area, I was shocked at how differently they kept them. They were all laying on the bottom of the tiny plastic cups that werenāt even half as decent as the fancy bettas. That really discouraged me. Any ways here are my bettas from petsmart and my Chinese water dragon from petland. Have a fantastic day.

Great selection of reptiles, ferrets, fish, dogs, cats and more. Absolutely in love with their reptiles here!! They also have a large tortoise that roams the store. I guess you could say he is the storeās mascot. Nice booth areas to visit with the dogs and cats before deciding to take one home. Rating 4 stars because of the awesome customer service here. Canāt give that 5th star primarily for personal preference of ādonāt shop! Adopt!ā My dogs are all rescues!

Went in there on Father's day today had great fast service from Ariele in the fish department even though they was busier then usual got this great big Oscar to join my family tank at the hospital fish was packed extra secure and tote to help me tote without any chance of something happening to my fish in transport was thank the car ride without it could be bad for the fish

If I could put a 0 rating I would! This visit to petland was the WORST experience EVER! My aunt and I walked in to kill some time and she got a puppy lab not super small but not super big. The dog was playing just fine and then all of a sudden started biting her. We know the difference between play biting and mean biting and that was NOT play biting.... it was actually hurting my aunt really bad..it bit her wrist and left a bruise and scratches bit her leg and left blood bit her foot and made her foot hurt it also bit her phone and left multiple scratches on the screen. While all that was going on my aunt was yelling NO NO NO to try and stop the dog from biting her. After yelling no multiple times I told a worker that my aunt needed help and she walked over to get the dog when the dog bit my aunts wrist and would not let go so my aunt tapped the dog on the butt and said no again. When the worker opened the door to the little room and picked up the dog she put it back in its cage and went and told a bunch of other workers that were standing a few feet away from us whispering and pointing at us when I walked away too look at another dog a worker approached my aunt and said that she was not aloud to hold or play with any other dogs because she said the other worker saw her "hit" the dog so she could only look through the glass at the dogs. When my aunt showed the worker the bruising and blood and scratches she said "I know" NO APOLOGIZING NO IM SORRY just I know that is unacceptable the dog hurt my aunt very badly and should not be let out with other people.
