I get my dog food here. Store is clean and organized. Employees don’t seem very friendly or happy. I got a 34 lb bag of dog food and had to leave it to go pull my car up, in the rain, to load it. I’m not a young woman and not a soul offered to load it for me. Not good customer service. I have managed several pet stores in my past and happy customers but more products. Now, my husband and I go in and get what we came for. No shopping around any longer. But kudos on a neat, mostly fully stocked store.

We bought a goldfish (a.k.a Hecklefsh) and a regular fish bowl for Christmas from a local seller. After seeing him come to the top for air and gasping for breathe, my son and I began to research their care and discovered that upgraded housing was needed for the health and happiness of the fish. Not knowing much, we went to Petco. Thank goodness for Julie, the Aquatics Specialist! She approached us quickly and was so helpful and knowledgeable. She assisted us with pricing different options and answered every question with kindness and respect. We will not go anywhere else for our aquarium needs because of her incredible service! Good selection of products! Thank you Julie!

Please use morph market to purchase your reptiles from reputable breeders that know how to care for them. Humidity like this is unacceptable. They don't chill in their water bowl to look cute they are desperate for humidity. USE MORPH MARKET

I purchased a bowl booster for my dog last night and it expired in July 2022. Of course, there is nothing they can do unless I make the 1 hour drive to return it. Unfortunately, sprinkling this on every meal ensures he eats. Please monitor your shelves for expired items.

I just went to this store, The Staff at this location is Awesome Very nice people and when I am in need of New pet supplies I shop here sometimes or if I need a New small pet I will look here and see what they have in at the time. I just bought this New Dungerian Dwarf female hamster.

Bait and switch. Website said $39 for a bath for my dog. Went to make an appointment online and it was $57. No thanks.Edit to owner: it’s not that your prices are unacceptable. It’s that the price advertised isn’t the one that is charged. That’s what a bait and switch is.

Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful! We were there picking up supplies for a stray kitty that adopted us during our stay at an airb&b(now part of the family). The woman that helped us with our questions about food was so nice and our cashier was super great as well.

Wonderful customer service from the time I came in, to the time I picked up my Cat Basil. Cassandra was lovely, knowledgeable, and helpful with my first time experience. She truly made my day! 😊

The crew that was working were very nice, but I purchased 2 ferrets on 02/24/24 and when asked about paperwork or CAPC on them such as vaccinations, age or any info on them they had no answers for me. I will be calling the store this morning to see if someone could help. I will update this review later today. Wish me luckUpdate 9:18 am-Spoke with a female this morning did not catch her name...but was told they accidently gave the birth records and info on my ferrets to someone else who purchased from there. I am to now go to the store to pick up a pamphlet to where it has information to guide me to their documents online.Will update further later today 😉Update: I got a pamphlet where I was able to get the ferrets birth certificates , so I know there age but to no avail I have no proof of vaccinations 🙄 I'm supposed to receive a call from them tomorrow to answer some of my questions. Will update tomorrow 😉 to be continued....Update: 03/08/24Sarah from Petco contacted me today with news on their immunization forms, I will be able to pick them up at the end of this month

Unfortunately this store doesn’t restock any supplies aside from dry food/cat litter/small animal items with any regularity. Leashes and collars for both cats and dogs as well as cat supplies including supplements, flea/tick prevention, shampoos, etc. remain out of stock for weeks if not months. Makes the shopping experience unreliable. For thingsthey do have, Petco is my preferred chain pet store and I do really appreciate that that accept pet food returned returns.

This petco store the past year has become neglected at least in the fish department. Spoke to manager but he shrugged his shoulders like it wasn’t his problem. Fish floating in the tank for 4 to 5 hours. I went back three times wanting to purchase some salt water fish and they never released them in some already that started to die. This is not the Petco that I know and have visited and other areas such as Tallahassee or Mobile what a disgrace for Pensacola.

The selection of Wellness wet cat food is in two places, on an end cap and wrapping around to the next aisle. It was difficult to find what I wanted and didn’t see anyone in close proximity to assist. I had a coupon from Wellness that was very difficult to apply - the transaction had to be completed a second time by a manager. 2 of the 3 cans were exchanged for another form (pate instead of minced) but, rather than getting them at the coupon price, I was told I owed $2.00 + tax. It was an even exchange, same brand and same price. Really disappointed in Petco; if this is the policy, I won’t be shopping here again and will drive the extra distance to shop PetSmart.

We walked in here after being given a ball python and having NO knowledge on how to care for her. A Petco employee named Julie asked us if we needed help and then she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure that we knew everything we needed to know! We live 2 hours away and she was so intelligent and informative that we’ve decided to keep coming to this store for ALL of our reptiles needs!!! Thank you so much Julie!!!

My sister and I were in petco on Saturday and needed to know how to start a salt water tank and to buy a beta. She knew everything and was wonderful and answered every stupid question we had and picked us out the most beautiful beta and i never had a fish before.Just made us feel like we were part of the family. She was just a delight , best customer service I've had in my life and im 57 years old. Thank you sarah.

After scouring around town for hours, Julie saved the day with some crickets! Julie was so helpful and knowledgeable about everything and made my whole experience! Sometimes I’ve found it awkward to wait for crickets, but Julie made conversation, which just added to the already great service. Julie counted out every cricket and handled them with care!I also had a great experience with the cashier, although I didn’t get her name. She greeted me upon arrival, and when I asked if there were crickets in stock, she said yes and she would page someone, but I might experience a wait (I did not!! Thanks, Julie!) When I returned to check out, the cashier thanked me for my patience (but I didn’t even have to wait!), asked me if I had the rewards program, and then informed me about the 10¢ bags, although I was already aware of this.I have worked in customer service so the reason for this lengthy review is just to say well done! This was by far one of the best experiences I have had in a pet store recently so props to Julie and the cashier! I don’t mind paying a little more money for crickets, especially when the employees treat you so awesome!!! Thank you both!!!!!!

Scanned items using app since I did find what I had tried to buy online. Couldn't finish purchase online since it kept sending me in a loop. The two items rang up at the counter nearly double the price that they scanned at.

Had coupons hanging to use. When I got to checkout the cashier said they were expired and wouldn’t accept it, even though they were hanging in the store to use.He was also rude.If I ever forget to order my items online again, I’ll go to the competition.

Was shopping in a Petco store in Pensacola tonight, cashier asked if we wanted a plastic bag for 10 cents. My wife and I do things on principle and we’ll never shop there again. This might be accepted in California, where their corporate offices are, but that’s not going to go over well in other states. According to Forbes in October of 2023, The Credit Risk Monitor lists Petco at an elevated risk of bankruptcy. I can’t wait for that to happen.

I always get my boy bathed/groomed here. I usually book with Ashley and she does a fantastic job, she’s a doll. My boy is always sparkly and white, smells great, and is nice and soft when he comes home. They all know my boy when he comes in, greet him warmly and by name. They’re great ♥️-Apollo’s Mom
