I can not express how happy this place made me. I took my dog to pet smart this morning I live in Myrtle Grove area Davis highway is 20 min drive. I called before hand asked if I need appointment how much it cost. They said walk in and 19$ I said ok. Drove all the way there, for them to ask me for shot records or the name of the vet who wasn't available. my pets tags are valid and up to date. You have to have valid vaccines on your dog to get tags. I called several places with no luck while driving we found Barney's. Not only would I much rather support a local business it cost less and they took her right back ended up getting my boy dog done as well extremely affordable . They were also very friendly and courteous. I appreciate all they did for me and our fur babies

We love it 💗💗 we moved from jax a few months ago, and I was so pleased that I found a place that stocks Fromm pet food so close to us! Very thankful that they honored my vouchers for Fromm food that I didn't get a chance to use before we left! They are super friendly, and are always so helpful ordering the flavors my kittehs love! (Because you know they're finicky 😹😹) They have a nice selection of Fromm dog food, including canned food! Lots of tasty freeze dried treats that our pup loves! Also, they have a large freezer section! They are definitely our pet place here in Pensacola!! 🏖🌞🌅

Barney's Pet World wins. Every single time I've been there I've received excellent service, & was met with friendly associates. In addition to the grooming services they offer, you'll find that they have an extensive inventory of pet supplies to choose from at competitive prices.

If I could give a zero star I would... I took my 2 huskies to get bath and nails clip and I came home and 1 of my huskies looked like something had bite him or the cut him with clippers I will not take my dogs back here they are really lucky I don't sue them.

The groomers did an amazing last minute bath and de-shed for our two large golden retrievers. Very affordable and great quick service! Will be back when we come back to town!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff with a good selection of high end food options from whole raw frozen to well sourced kibble. My dog enjoyed a free treat on the way out too. I especially appreciate that the staff offered to order something if they did not carry exactly what I was looking for.

Took our Beany in because she broke her dew claw nail and they fixed her right up, took care of the broken nail and wrapped it up even! They were so kind and friendly and super fast! Highly recommend them!

In a year this place has gone down hill they mishandle our Jj droped him out of the top kennelhad sezures his legs criss cross gasping for air heart rate thru the roof in tacacardis he was total dehydrated and skin and bone s and had strap mark around his hips can not stand They should shut their doors and be ashamed of there self not even owning to their negligence up to this they are not reliable also vet said he continuously sezures due to his injury we have vet report also was sever dehydrated no water added to his kidney shut downRIP JjPoobear second yorkie in 4800 n Davis Vet emergency iv for sever dehydration Inc heart rate and bleeding from both end. Kidney issues also was boarded with Jj for 10 days 7 years old was very healthyHoping to save him 🙏 😔

Very friendly staff..they do a great job on our German shepherd..we have his nails done as well as bath and trim....we also board him when we need a vacation...Great place for it all

L takes care of my kitten babies and cats so well! She is wonderful at trimming their nails and I struggle to bathe my adult cat she does it with ease. 10 out of 10 will be going back to her regularly!

Always go here to get my dog’s food. I try to get her food monthly so that I won’t have to make a bunch of stops but the fact that these nice owners always take my schedule into consideration makes me want to shop with them even more. I love this place! And appreciate the great service and products

Super convenient and very nice staff. Not a huge selection but enough to choose from that you will find something that works for your pet. High quality options. I didn't see anything that was poor quality (for example you won't find cheap foods like meow mix and pedigree) just great food like Fromm and orijenn and diamond naturals)

I am thrilled to see that they sell Small Batch, the best raw food for dogs and cats. It’s the only place in Pensacola to offer raw and lightly cooked Small Batch and other high quality foods other than Primal.

Dropped my dad's cat for a shave, the normal groomer apparently decided to allow a new groomer to train on our cat. (Was even told by the girl this is the 1st cat shes done). I didn't mind that, however I did mind the cat was sent home with a tail full of mats. They literally did absolutely nothing but shave the cats body. Not sure how you give a cat back still matted when a customer pays for it to be groomed. I feel they took advantage of my elderly father because he didn't know better. Not to mention the place is filthy

I just want to say hands best service I’ve received from and groomers the groomer in particular her name was L she went above and beyond for my Roxanne and made sure she walked out of there looking ready for a run way! And Roxanne even wants to go back and see L so anyone with a doggo or cat hit up Barney’s and ask for L!

Not a huge selection for cats, however what they do have is decent. Unfortunately they didn’t have the brand of wet cat food I needed so I had to go to a bigger pet store.

I accidentally mixed up my reviews! Barney's does not sell cheeseburgers and grilled fish! 🤣But it is a wonderful place to get your furbabies groomed and cared for. We've been sending our dogs to Barney's for some time. The ladies are always pleasant and take such good care of our girls.I had accidentally dropped my credit card outside and it was found by them. They took time out of their work to call us and make sure it was returned to the rightful owner.Very honest and accommodating! Thank you, Barney's.

In town to visit my parents, going off their hours on google we saw that they’d be open when we needed to go to get something for my dog that caught a UTI. When we showed up in the parking lot (11:50 AM), an older lady closed the door as we pulled in and locked the door and walked away. Once we got closer to the door we saw a sign they had put on their door saying their new hours makes the store open at 12. Unfortunately they had locked the door and offered nothing of value for us. If they had updated their hours on google we wouldn’t have wasted our time going to a smaller box store for our dog that needed care. It’s a shame that a smaller business would do something like this and make it so much more enticing to go to a big corporation store, but is unfortunately why the majority of people choose to do so for the convenience.

They are always very nice in there. They too, sell a variety of pet foods, collars, toys, etc. I usually go in there when I need a Capstar pill for my fur babies, prior to their new flea collar, or the topical flea stuff.I like the fact that I don't have to pay big bucks to purchase a whole box. They will sell the Capstar pills by the each! Since I don't need them all the time, or even every month, this suits me just fine!!I'm glad that Barnies is still here, that they made it through the pandemic, etc. I know I sure appreciate them!!

After visiting several places, trying to find food for toy breeds, my dad and I stopped in Barney's. We were shown a couple different brands, educated on the brands and given an opportunity to make up our minds. I did not get the sales lady's name, however, she was very nice, even joked with my dad a bit. The only issue was that the store felt dark. Not well lit.

Went there just over a month ago because they show as a dealer of Natural Balance dog products. Place and employees were kind of creepy. They had barely any inventory at all, including what type I was looking for. I had to go with a smaller size and totally different flavor that was imo way overpriced.This has no effect on my review, but my bully wouldn't go near it. Like myself, she hates anything with sweet potatoes in it.

THIS is now edited:Not a fan of the store part... They keep changing their hours now, and it's mainly when people are working that they're even open! Do not go at 8:00 in the morning when they actually say they are open, because they're not! However the GROOMING IS AMAZING! The grooming is the only portion of this place that deserves five stars, the store however should be given a one, hence my rating!

My dog loves to go there the people are great .they take such good care of my hopper (dog) every time I take him he goes for daycare about once a month. And stays when i have to go out of town. Highly recommend them
