Our dog has been limping on her back left leg, we noticed a small hot spot on her toe but she wouldn’t walk on it. Banfield had previously prescribed her medication for a hotspot so we have been trying that for about two days before going in. There was no improvement with the limping and she began shaking and panting in pain. So it seems very likely it’s not the hot spot.We took her in at 10am. We were told they were going to get her in and out as quick as possible and they would call when she was ready.At 1 pm we called them and they said she wasn’t ready. They said we should do an X-ray (again we called them to get to this point).At 3 pm we called again, and the receptionist sharply told us our pick up time was 5 pm…. That was the first we had heard of the pickup time.We got there at 5pm, as they were bringing her out we heard our dog cry from behind the door. When the tech went to check on the situation she said “now she is limping on her other leg, the left one!” (Reminder: we were there for the left one initially and ordered X-rays). It seemed very evident that the vet was looking at her for the first time. I do appreciate the honestly when I said “I just don’t know what’s going on with her” the vet replied “I’m going to be honest neither do I.”After SEVEN hours, $500, we left with no answers for her leg/pain and the same medicine we have been giving her.In past visits we didn’t even get to talk to the vet. Just the tech. Incredibly disappointed in the environment and care at Banfield. We are canceling our plan and going to a real veterinary clinic that cares and doesn’t treat our fur babies like numbers.

Good when you.actually talk to a vet. She cares and was very thorough. Appointment times are more like "suggestions". Simple visits requires you to leave your dog from 7 until after 2pm. No sense of urgency, and staff acts like they'd rather be anywhere but there.

I moved 2 years ago here to pensacola from Charlotte NC. When I visit the first time Banfield here I was sceptical. Because I had the best care for Roscoe in Charlotte. Now after 2 years I can say I'm comfortable again. Everybody is friendly and Roscoe is in good hands again. It is for me very important Roscoe have the love and care he deserve.

Highly suggest that you go to the one in Destin or any other location if possible. Dropped my pup off for a comprehensive exam at 9:15 and was told it would take a couple hours. Which is fine because it’s an exam. I call around 12 because I live in Navarre so I wanted to know an eta and was told I can head home because it would take a while. Okay cool I get home and don’t receive a call from them until 3 saying that he has an ear infection and quoted me prices for ear drops, before we even get to that the first thing I asked when I picked up the phone was “Is he ready for pickup?” DR Siergiejczyk said no and went into the ear infection info. We ended the conversation with me saying that I would be fine with the pricing of the ear drops and would get them when I picked him up. She said okay and then we hung up the phone. Eventually 4:30 rolls around and I call again because they close in 30 minutes and I have yet to get a call that my pup is ready to be picked up. They told me oh yeah she had you scheduled for a 3:00 pickup… so at this point I’m a little upset because 1. I was told he wasn’t ready at that time 2. I’m having to rush all the way from Navarre which is about 40 mins when the place closes in 30 mins 3. I was the one that had to call for a status instead of them calling me to let me know he was ready! What it seems like is that they just weren’t going to call me and I was just going to be charged without knowing? And what made me more upset is that they said they would be an extra charge if I wasn’t there by 5:30. The unprofessionalism is insane and I expect a lot more from them.

Pets are dropped off and wait while vet is in surgery. Then you get a call to pick up. Convenient for people that work and cannot be bothered with the time spent at an appointment. But most prefer the reassurance of communication for services while present.

The staff here is so sweet and caring. We had to put our 9yo Chocolate Lab down due to a massive tumor on his liver. The team that was by our side for the whole process was so genuine. I was crying on the office floor and they comforted me during one of the most difficult days of my life.I had Cannon cremated, but before that they made an imprint of his paw for me. And the urn they offer is simple yet beautiful.Today my family received a sympathy card from them, hand signed by their amazing team.So, thank you to all of you there. You are forever in our hearts for the compassion that you showed. ♥🐾

Our pup Domino needed a check up and some immunizations and we dropped him off at this location at 7:45 AM and were able to pick him back up at noon. The staff was friendly and they took great care of him. We love using Banfield because we live full-time in our RV and so having access to care nationwide without having to drag paper records is super beneficial for us. I would certainly recommend a wellness plan and Banfield Pet Hospital. They have worked great for us!

Very nice and friendly. I was late but they made no big deal about it and they always take care of my good little man. Good with cats and dogs and my cat is always so calm after his visits. They explain their prices well and let you know exactly what your pet is gonna go through.

My puppy got really sick so I scheduled an appointment with them. They were really sweet and actually called to get him in earlier than his scheduled appointment to make sure he was okay. My pup made a full recovery and is doing great.

This review is for an experience about a year ago, so I don't know if they are different now.When I tried to take my dog in for a nail trim, the place didn't follow their own rules for one family at a time. At the time, I had my dog on a slip leash. It's a humane way of getting your dogs attention for correction (they use it as a regular leash. They tried to tell me I was hurting my dog with the corrections I was doing. The slip leash goes under the head above the neck, not around their necks like a leash. USE IT PROPERLY OR DONT USE IT AT ALL! He has dog ADD. He is super friendly, but distractions get the best of him, so I was using that time to help instill the needed corrections. They let another guy come in to pick up his dogs, and he had no right to tell me how to correct my dog. I had to deal with that, plus the staff needing to say they knew better than me about my dog. Will not ever go their again. Petsmart needs to get rid of their deal with them.

I’m a dog sitter.. I found a cut on one of my visiting dogs early one morning. It wasn’t terrible but definitely needed to be checked out. Banfield is the vet her owner uses, so I took her there as soon as they opened. They verified that she was their patient but would not see her for me without authorization from her owner, who was on a weekend getaway and could not be reached right away. I was told that even if they could reach her, they couldn’t see the pup until the afternoon. There was no concern from them at all that she was injured. Heartless. I took her to my vet and they tended to her.If I could give this place less than one star, I would.

My cat had worms and hospital said that they can’t accept my cat without proof of rabbits vaccine( at that time I didn’t know that vaccine should NOT be done if cat has parasites) so they did vaccinate and treatment for worms same day! After a day my pretty healthy cat that never had any problem with urination start feeling very unwell she couldn’t urinate and was in pain so hospital asked us to come back and gave us antibiotic so we had to pay much more. So now we can only guess: either the vaccination + deworm injection gave complications to the kidneys or did the they give the cat an infection because you can’t see conditions your cat in, you just leave your cat for 2+ hours. Would be cheaper and less stressful just go to normal vet.

So grateful for this vet team and how well they helped me handle a stray that we welcomed to our family! Everyone on the staff is kind and extremely patient. I was worried about doing a drop-off appointment, but I left feeling much better after speaking to a vet tech about any questions or concerns we had. I also appreciate the transparency of pricing and billing here. I am a college student and always stress about any kind of doctor or vet appointment when I don't know what to expect financially, but the staff here always shows me a breakdown of services beforehand and I have never paid more than I expected. The kind staff, reminder calls, and overall experience of this clinic has made us regular visitors.

I originally started with Banfield up in Jackson MS. My dog is normally a very healthy boy. Unfortunately he became ill while here in Florida. I called up to MS to get his shot records update and they told me about this office here in Florida. I took Dreyfus into their office here, and they fixed him up with some meds, and a proper bland diet for him over the next several days. The Dr. and Staff were super nice and helpful to me and to Dreyfus. I read the reviews on this facility and from my personal experience yesterday 4/17/2023 I see where those discruntaled people are just pure miserable citizens in life in general. Nothing would make those people happy. In my case I'm thrilled to death with them. As long as I'm here should I need them again I will definitely return to ONLY this facility.

This place deserves 7 out of 5 stars!!The staff are super friendly and polite, they take great care of my kitty, and the optimum wellness plan makes it easy to receive and pay for services that would usually break my bank account. I have zero regrets about choosing Banfield to care for my boy!

Horrible place. My dog was completely traumatized since I was never allowed to go in to the room with her. The staff is incompetent and does not seem to even be paying attention to their customers. They are a business first and foremost with very poor people skills. Don’t be fooled by the glossy ads and placement in pet stores. I canceled my “wellness” plan - which of course meant I have to keep paying for six more months. Whatever. I am thankful that we are out of there!

The staff is very kind and caring. They ensure my baby and I are given the best quality care. They always do their best to get me taken care of when I need to be seen last minute. They are very informative. They always have a positive attitude even when it seems like they are very busy. I will say sometimes there can be a wait, but I know it is because they’re giving each owner and pet the time they need, just like they do for me.

Two year user of Banfield’s wellness program. Scheduled drop off appointment for our dog for this previous Saturday. We were slightly nervous due to it being our pups first time under anesthesia (he was having his dental cleaning done) staff even offered to trim his nails while he was asleep. We had to drop him off by 7:15 and were told that we would receive a phone call when his appointment was finished and he was finished being observed after the anesthesia. 5pm closing time rolled around and we’d yet to receive a call so we went for pick up. Long story short: he was in a cage from 7:15 til almost 5pm while never being let out to use the restroom the way he is trained to do. When his nails were cut, they were cut far past the quick and we have been experiencing bleeds for the past two days. When asked about not receiving a phone call the clerk, Zach, tried to explain to me that a plug next to the anesthesia area started throwing sparks and the fire department had to be called and that they suggested shutting down the electricity. Not only does that have nothing to do with not receiving a call when service was done but it makes me worry even more about animals being put in care near faulty equipment. When asked about him being let out of the kennel during that long period of time, it was explained to me by Zach that they are only let out for bathroom if the vet is needing a sample and not properly taken care of in that environment. The vet did not take the time to speak to us about the visit and despite being promised a follow up call the following Monday, we have yet to receive any correspondence from the vet. We did not even get our dogs paperwork back from the vet visit until I was forced to reach and ask for it via phone. We will never bring our dog into this place again. They are unprofessional, undereducated, unreliable and entirely negligent to basic animal needs. This is a corporate entity who stacks up their entire caseload by offering a cheap wellness plan and rushes through their responsibilities because they either don’t have enough help, or the help they have is so entrenched in their complacency that they’ve decided not to care about the animals brought in to them. Either way, they’ll hand you the number to their corporate headquarters without taking responsibility and suggest you take an hour out of your day to sit on hold while others that are experiencing the same issues lambast the office with requests that will never be fulfilled.

Love this place! We have taken all of our pups here and the staff and doctors are all awesome, caring and very professional! They take care of our little fur baby very well and are great at communication when it comes to treatment options and so on. We just got our golden doodle fixed here and he is on the wellness plan and we love this option as it helps spread out the high costs of pet ownership.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Genuinely cared for my sick kitten and was able to get him back on the mend. Prices are comparable to most stand alone vet clinics in town and they offer several wellness plans that make yearly care of your pets more affordable and convenient.

Poor communication. Almost impossible to reach them by phone.Poor service. Our cat was having breathing problems. They wouldn’t see him unless we give him all of his vaccines while he’s sick. He died as we were driving away to take him to a real animal hospital.
