Might have been my last trip to West Marine as I have moved off my boat.Careful going to any West Marine as you can,will, fall into a Zombie like state with all.you want to do to your boat, the current project on hold back by the medulla with little hope of finding its way back up the the Cerebellum. Great store and lots of stuff. And the best staff around, on Sunday and Monday, when I usually shop there. They are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. It's like they have experts for each area of the store. If one person isn't sure about your question they will get you to the person that dose. I don't really trust a place that has "experts on everything" because they usually are not. They are extremely busy and could definitely use a couple more floor people.

The prices are a bit high but if you need anything for a boat this is the only place to get it locally. Period. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous and they even asked if my service dog could have a treat...i like this because in the long run yes they are a little more expensive but their knowledge saved me money because they told me i didnt need some things i thought i did...highly recommended.

After waiting almost 2 weeks for an in-store order worth about $1,700, I was told by 3 different store employees that they were too busy to locate it in the recently received shipment. They lost the sale as I purchased it from another source. This store needs a lesson in customer service. I would give them "0" stars if I could.

Went to buy an on sale item and upon entering the store saddle floats we’re in a box marked on sale for $24.99. We got 5 and only to be told by the manager the ones we got out of the box were not the ones on sale. Then was very rude when we showed him the box and the sign showing the sale price. He stated it was not a conspiracy. We walked out. I will never buy anything from this store due to the rude manager and employee.

Their prices could be better on most things . . . BUT . . . you really cannot expect Amazon prices from a brick and mortar store. What you get is the ability to walk in and pay a bit more to get it NOW instead of 2-4 days from now. I work on my boat on the weekends. Anything that I have to order delays progress until the NEXT weekend. If I can walk into West Marine and get the item today, I can likely finish the project. That has an inherent dollar value in itself.

West Marine has always been a great store. As a kid, I remember it being my dad's toy store. If it goes in or on the water and you need it... They either have it or will get it quickly at a reasonable price. They're honest and fair with great employees. A recent example. My Lowrance was shutting off intermittently. I took it in to either replace it or the cable installation. Don at the Panama West Marine smiled and just fixed it for me. Turned out to be a firmware issue. Didn't even charge me for it. Because of all of these things, they have been my 1st go to for anything I need. Fishing gear as well. Great selection at honest pricing. If you don't shop there, I think you should check it out.

We’ve been shopping at this West Marine for years when we’re on vacation in Florida. Employees are always helpful and friendly, but we noticed a few standouts this year and want to share our appreciation. Don helped us when we came in with an old reel that we wanted to replace. He asked us if it was okay if he took it apart to look at and admired that it was an older Made in USA Penn reel. We’re going to look into replacing a broken part he identified for us. He showed us new reels and explained the differences that mattered to us. His customer service was outstanding and in addition to buying a new reel, we also picked up a couple of other items he recommended. On an earlier shopping trip to WM, I had admired the display of fishing lines and discovered that Don had put it together. Good initiative and excellent way to view product differences. On that same earlier shopping trip, Sewell helped us choose a rod/reel combo and suitable line for our use. I’m loving my Penn Battle III LE with braided line. It gives a great, smooth cast. After Don helped us and we were checking out, the cashier, Alyssa, offered to find us a discount and sold us on an upgraded membership which actually saved us more than what it cost in that one purchase. Had she not offered, we’d never have known. More initiative. We will definitely be continuing to shop here as long as the customer service continues to be this great. Thanks West Marine for allowing your employees the flexibility to show initiative in helping customers like us.

They had a huge stock for anything you would need for a boat or anything water related,however they were pretty expensive. So I would keep that in mind before going here. Overall 7/10 experience

Awesome staff that is very knowledgeable! Each time I visit I can get all my boat maintenance questions answered and find everything I need thanks to their team. It’s great to have a marine store where the team is knowledgeable of marine service and parts. Not sure if anyone knows this or not, but you can have standing and running rigging replaced/duplicated, by West Marine Rigging. The turn around time is extremely quick and the rigging team is super helpful. They even helped me figure out what rigging I needed for my 20+ yr old sailboat.

This is an expensive place for lots of stuff. I purchase 100 lf of marine grade wire from the internet for about 25% of the price they were asking. I purchased hookups for a Yamaha outboard, and the price marked was almost twice what they charged me. Lighting and switch selections are poor. They don't have low temp solder heatshrink wire connectors in any form. What they do have is at least readily accessible without waiting on UPS!

One of my favorite stores. They stock many items that surely cannot be sold very often. That doesn’t make a whole lot of business sense but is priceless when your boat is broken down on a trip. I will happily pay a little more to a vendor who can save a trip instead of waiting on mail order items.

They are a little more expensive than ordering online, but if you need it right away they have pretty much anything you can think of. They do Regularly have pretty good deals on electronics and different fishing items. I saved 300 bucks over retail on my GPS...

2 to 5 times higher than anywhere else within 10 mile radius. This place isn't cheap. Not even reasonably priced. Staffs very polite and helpful but, the store doesn't really carry anything you can't find at Walmart or any of the other marine stores for way less money.

I think it is a nice store but the fishing section isn't as big as I expected it to be. And the prices are a lot more than I thought it would be. We were looking for a capture net, and walmart had a bigger selection then this specialty store. We also were looking for life jackets and still ended up at walmart for better prices. Nothing against the store but the company should try to be more competitive in pricing.

I use West Marine in Panama City they always have a part when everybody else doesn't don't count them out if you're looking for a part that you can't find there's a good chance they may have it for you otherwise they're a hundred percent stuff and all novelty marine and accessories if you need it they have it and I are Rewards program as well worth it shopping there without it is very expensive

Went an hour out of our way from GA en route to port at joe, they had neither the VHF radio in stock that was on special that day (I had just gotten an email that morning about the special) nor the diver down buoy we needed. Staff didn't really seem to care.

Good place to shop for most all your marines parts and accessories. There's always someone around to help you if you need it but not pushie. Fare prices and I love the rewards program. I'm a GOLD member!!!
