I was honestly worried about what my accommodations would be to attend a wedding in the area, but the newly renovated panacea motel was such a wonderful experience! Everything was so clean and all the staff were so lovely. We had friends in a few rooms that were all adorable and we stayed in the bungalow which HAD A HOT TUB?! Such a fun little surprise to enjoy when we were done with the festivities we had come down for. Beds were comfy, towels were fresh. The only thing is a full-length mirror would have been helpful for us getting dressed. I am excited to have such a nice option in the area for future visits and will definitely be checking out the other properties you all manage!

Let me tell you, this little motel is awesome. Stephanie was so sweet and helpful. She helped us with check in and gave us options to help our stay be more comfortable and accommodating. She was even nice enough to call us and let us know that we had forgotten some of our belongings after check out and offered to keep them in the office for us. The room was so quaint, cute and clean. It was far above expectations. We will definitely be back to Panacea for any and all festivals and pray that the Panacea motel has room for us. Thanks you guys for a great weekend excursion.Nearby activities: Panacea oyster and beer festival 2024Safety: Everyone in the area was very friendly and treated you like family.Walkability: Super close to the attractions we went to the area for.

Our stay was perfect! The staff were so incredibly friendly! The location was perfect for us. Easy to find. Rooms were clean and with plenty of room. My boys took the kayaks out on the water behind the motel. (Bring bug spray for the walk) There was a coffee food truck in walkable distance. The welcome email told me about the coffee truck. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again!

My first thought was: totally adorable room. Even if nothing else was amazing (and it all was, don't get me wrong), the retro microwave and fridge in my room were just too cute!Comfortable bed, big TV, quiet A/C, shower (no tub) in the bathroom, large thick towels and good water pressure, private path to the bay.Yes, it went to the bay, not the ocean, so it faces east and the sunrise in the morning was fantastic. It was very nice near sunset, too - there's a bench to sit on and I listened to the water and the birds.No "cons", but the ceiling light is not overly bright, and at night the room is fairly lit up from the A/C display and the light peeking out through the top of the front window shades (they have blackout curtains on them, but a little light comes out of the top). Not a problem for me because I always travel with an eye mask.The motel does face the highway, but I didn't hear any road noise, in #7.That being said, there is some kind of construction business next-door with big loud trucks that started by 6 AM, so no "sleeping in" during the week! That didn't bother the people in the room next to me, though, as they sat out on the porch in the morning.Very cool place all around, not much else in the area, and this was certainly a great find for me.I got there after office hours, 9 to 6, but was promptly helped when I called the number that is posted all over the property.

I loved this place. The rooms are efficient in size but very comfortable and well cared for. The management was super attentive to anything we needed. Plus there are bikes and kayaks you can borrow and there's a short trail out back that will take you to the water.We stayed over the weekend but I've heard that the concrete facility next door can wake you up pretty early. Nothing to worry about during the weekend though. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend this place. You can't beat the location if you're going anywhere in Panacea or the surrounding area too.

Stopped in while driving by early evening. Although the office was closed the number on the office door got me in touch with Stephanie and within a few moments we were checked in and were in our room. Room was clean and atmosphere was nice.Room had a stocked refrigerator and snacks available for purchase. Our stay was great, the people were friendly, and the price was fair. What else is there to say?? If we are in the area again, we would certainly stop.Rooms: Clean, up to date, modest and comfortable. Snacks and drinks available for purchase in room.

I stayed in 1 bedroom apartment for January & February 2024, very comfortable, and the motel was very quiet. The kitchen was small but had everything I needed. The rooms were clean and bug free and shower had plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable. I would gladly stay here again. Stephanie, the manager was very helpful and took care of anything you need right away.

We had a great time at Panacea Motel & will be back when we're in the area. There is a concrete plant next door that is noisy during the weekdays, early in the morning - bring ear plugs if you're not a heavy sleeper. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable (a bit soft) & there was plenty of supplies for making meals. We talked to the owner who was happy to help us get the kayaks down to the water if we'd wanted. There's no view from the room itself, but down at the water is absolutely beautiful! The location of the hotel is central to many things to see.Nearby activities: Central to many places ... we easily travelled to St Marks Lighthouse / Wildlife Refuge, Wakulla Springs, Alligator Point, Gulf Specimen Aquarium, hiking, etc.

I have stayed there several times. The rooms are nice and clean with lots of amenities. When we stayed there during Christmas, the property manager, Stefanie, even baked us homemade cookies. They are very nice people and will go above and beyond to make sure that you enjoy your stay. I will definitely be back!Rooms: Clean and comfortable.Walkability: Close to a few restaurants and the bay.

I booked this for my sister and her fiancé while they were visiting. The room was clean and adorable. They also offered bikes, kayaks, and cornhole which was awesome! The manager Stephanie, was so sweet and accommodating! We will definitely use them again when visitors comes to town.Nearby activities: The area is beautiful and taking advantage of the bikes and kayaks that the motel offers made enjoying them great!Food & drinks: Great seafood places to eat right on the water and close enough to ride the bikes over.

We booked this hotel for a special Valentines get away. Upon arrival, Stefanie had red rose petals arranged in a heart with long stemmed roses, chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries she made herself. The room was so cute with retro decor: very neat and clean. We were very impressed with the extra mile she went to.We can’t think of anything thst would have made our stay more comfortable. It as a fun room and added to our stay in Panacea.

So much yes! This little charming motel and it’s very nice owner were just the perfect stop for our rv trip fri Miami home to Denver. An excellent escape from the every present Florida tourists, this little motel and it’s surrounding town provided us ocean breeze, good bird watching and fantastic seafood. The room was immaculate and comfortable and affordable!

We were staying down the road and had to take our rv in for repairs, so we chose to stay here. Recently remodeled.So quaint - walking distance to so many places. Kayaks can be rented and launched from the bay trail behind the hotel. Dog friendly.Yes there is a concrete place next door. Never heard it unless I was outside.Ductless heat takes a few minutes to kick in but keeps you plenty warm or cool we had need of both for our stay.Dog friendly.Stef was great and very accomadating.

Really enjoyed our stay. Customer service is/was amazing. Pet friendly. The rooms seem recently renovated and the amenities/decor makes you feel at home. Very clean rooms. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Sleep was amazing. No outside noise at all. It was so quiet at bedtime, I had to turn on the TV to tame my tinnitus! Definitely would recommend the stay if you’re in the area. I will definitely be staying here again. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!

Was traveling north on 98 and came across the cutest little motel I’ve ever been to with a nice trail to the bay about 2 minutes and I’m 69 this little place can’t be beat great price for the quality motel. The manager was awesome walked us through explaining about snacks and drinks in fridge good prices on them as well. We will be back great supper restaurants closeNearby activities: Fishing on the back baySafety: Well back from Hwy and well lite small country townFood & drinks: Great BBQ a couple miles away plus a seafood restaurant walking distanceNoteworthy details: The manager goes way out to make sure you’re happy

After driving all day my wife and I pulled in after dark. We were tired and just needed a place to sleep. They didn't have any basic rooms available but upgraded us to a nicer unit for the same price. We're just sorry we'll be leaving tomorrow. This would be a great place to spend a week or more at. Very clean and I definitely would recommend this to anyone wanting a great family vacation spot.

Unit #3 left a bit to be desired. As of last week the floors were buckling, likely due to significant water damage. Only took one toe stubbing then we kept our shoes on inside. The tub drain didn't have a plug. So, I struggled giving my little one a bath (used a plastic bag) over the drain.There is no onsite management.The building is located next to a noisy concrete mixing site. For a weekend stay, it won't be a problem. But at 5am on weekdays, they get started. The grassy area has several windows laying there and there's an invasive plant that deposits flat seeds all over clothing and shoes.Laundry facilities are very reasonably priced.Proximity to local activities and food is really good.

We were pleasantly welcomed by our nautical themed unit. Large clean, and just right quiet a/c (ductless)!Cotton balls, q tips, and attention to not creating more trash by trusting with full bottles of shampoo and conditioner. We were able to park in front of our own room. Sweet touches inside and outside!The remote was a mite difficult so my husband missed his baseball game.They appear to be restoring and remodeling perhaps a unit at a time.Thé before after is impressive!We think this is a place to return to:-)

We had a sweet, quiet time at this adorable motel. Takes you back to the old days before cookie cutter chains and interstate exits. The room was very comfortable. The bed was soft, the ac cool, the hot water hot and strong. The pillows were amazing. I’m going to try and buy some.The walk to the bay was short and beautiful. And the walk to dinner was short and easy. So many interesting places to visit in this little town.And it didn’t take long to get to the state park beach.Highly recommend.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Panacea Motel and found it a refreshing change from the chain hotels. It is obvious that the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into taking a 1950's roadside motel and turning it into a warm, cozy and unique experience. The retro details of the fridge and the microwave harken back to an earlier time, yet give you the amenities you would like to have. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to others.

I enjoyed my stay at this quaint AirBnB motel, run by one woman. It looks like a typical motel from a distance, but when you get closer you notice it's painted an aqua color, with painted parking bumpers also in a nautical theme. It's smaller than most motels, with seven available units and another set of units being renovated. When I got there, I accidentally barged into the owner's efficiency apartment/office on the right because I had assumed it was a standard office and she said she didn't have any notification of my online booking. Be sure to knock on the door before checking in. I loved the hardwood floors and cozy charm of my room. There was a blue fridge and a blue microwave, and in the bathroom there was a small jar of cotton swabs. The TV worked well, but I couldn't find a way to change the volume aside from pressing buttons on the TV itself.

Awesome little spot, with bay access and an assortment of kayaks to use at your leisure. Lee and her family and Ronda are amazing people; very warm, very friendly, very accommodating. I asked Lee for a desk and she found one and brought it in my room in no time. Ronda invited me over for dinner multiple times and it was awesome. I felt like I was one of the family! I love them. I would stay here again no doubt. Panacea is a little hidden gem with Mashes Beach a few minutes by car down the road. If you're an artist, or a writer, and want some privacy and time to get away, bring your noise cancelling headphones and prepare to get some serious work done. There is a little coffee "bus" within walking distance that is great way to start your mornings after kayaking in the bay. Great people! Great experience! If you want to go to place where you will be treated the right way, this is your spot!
