On Saturday, February 10th, 2024, I was adopted by Baby, one of the shelter's fosters and a sponsored adoption. Baby has been life-changing for me, and I want to give a special thanks to Nikki and Meghan, as well as the rest of the staff.Words cannot express my gratitude for everything the shelter does to care for these sweet animals. They are looking for their forever homes, and I am so thrilled that Baby has found hers with me.Please, if you are looking for a pet, look here! The animals here are well cared for, and looking for someone to return the love they have to give.

Really nice facility. We got 2 kittens there as a Christmas present for our kids. The process was very smooth and all of the employees and volunteers were very helpful.

this is a very special humane society! if you're a dog or cat lover this is the first place you should go when you're looking for a furry friend. go out there and volunteer! visit the dogs and cats!donate to the humane society thrift store!if you are looking for group training sessions this is the best place to socialize your dog and also to teach him some manners! I highly recommend. great people great animals.

I fostered an elderly cat. And I adopted her permanently. Princess my 13 lbs dog loves her too! So happy I saved her from a life in a cage! The third and fourth pictures were taken today( 11-25-19) after almost two months with me. Patsy says she is truly happy and finally home❣️😹Patsy still with me and loving her life as an elderly cat. Stretched out on my white sheets 4/25/24...Thank you for Patsy she changed my life. Because of Patsy I have rescued and fostered more cats. Patsy currently has 5 sister cats and 1 male cat and of course her dog. Patsy is the sweetest and I love her so much.Thank you for saving her and thank you for this wonderful organization.I'm cat lady now😁🌱4/25/24

Just adopted my dog “Copper” From here & They were super helpful and excited for him to get a loving home!! You can tell they really do care about all the animals. I’ve gotten several pets from here through out the years and i’ve loved every single one of them! Recommend to everyone looking for the perfect pet!

What an amazing facility staff and volunteers!!! I go in to donate some random items and peek in to see the pups. The place is so clean everybody looks happy not one of them is barking!! They’ve all been walked and well taken care of!! This place is amazing so proud of the people that work there helping these poor animals get their forever home. They had several small dogs this week and an adorable chocolate lab mix!!

We had a cat picked up by animal control because we couldn't keep it around our place because we have three cats already and we can't afford to keep this one. This cat was abandoned and is very loveable, the humane society neutered him and yesterday they had animal control dump him back at our house, he was classified as a Ferrell unavoidable cat.THEY DUMPED A CAT!!!!! IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO DUMP ANY ANIMAL!!!

I adopted a cat “Baby” from here today and it was such a pleasant experience! Everyone working there really tried their hardest to help me find the best animal for my unique situation. In the end, I think we found the perfect fit and everyone working there was so happy to see one of their animals find a forever home.

After a not so good experience with an adoption shelter I decided to go the Humane Society to adopt a cat. What an awesome place to go adopt any animal. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. We were able to spend time in a separate room with 2 kittens(siblings) and get to know them. The adoption process was nice and easy. We actually adopted both kittens. If anyone is looking for an animal to adopt go to the Humane Society. Thank you so much for the great experience.Added new photos of my cats who turned one today.

Although they were incredibly busy today I was able to get in an out with about an hour of time I appreciate the volunteers that helped me get a dog I've had my eyes on for only a few days but always wanted my own and now Oreo has her forever home well until our next home. So happy it's only day 1 but we have not left each other's side. Thank you thank you thank you. Oreo and I will be side by side for years to come.

Clean facility with some order to it. Very helpful staff. I looked on their website first and then went to see the cat I had in mind. They are happy to show you the pet you are looking for.

One of the nicest, cleanest animal shelters I have ever seen. Staff are very friendly and attentive to all the animals. If looking for an animal to adopt, which I highly recommend adopting, please check them out. We found our little fur baby there. Tell them Ray, and Connie sent you.

Very nice shelter. Staff could have been a little friendlier. One lady even told me the dog I adopted was not for me. I am so glad I took time to spend time with the dog because he turned out to be the perfect fit for my home! I found him on the internet and I went the next day to see him. He was very rambunctious at first but when he calmed down he was so sweet. Now, I am crazy about him. I named him Prince because he is so perfect!

I have to say that I was extremely anxious about my rabbits getting neutered and spayed. The workers handled my rabbits with so much care and were super friendly and understanding when I dropped them off. When I picked them up, they explained everything to me and answered any questions I had. This place is the best and I recommend it for anyone that is anxious about neutering/spaying their rabbit and also wants affordable and quality care.

We adopted Slushy a few days ago. Thank you to everyone that took care of him and gave him a second chance at life! He is feline leukemia positive and had many health issues but the humane society didn't give up on him! We just love him and are sooo happy to have him in our family! He is truly loved! He's a very special soul!!!

Some very friendly people! We agreed to Foster a dog Bailey but she didn't seem to want to get in the car. We are going to go back tomorrow and give it another try.All of the staff did everything they could do to try to ease her nerves because they were on full display. 😔If you are looking to adopt this is a great place to do so!

As the only open access, no kill, non profit shelter in Martin County, FL HSTC is leading the charge. Their people truly care and want to help. They are way more than a shelter; they are THE place to go when you need answers to really tough questions or situations involving your pets and they provide tons of life saving services to their community. They also adopt out over 2,000 animals per year. Good people and good intentions make all the difference 👌 🙌
