I went in to this store looking for jumper cables to help out someone who was in need of a jump.Unfortunately West Marine did not carry jumper cables BUT Erik the store manager came up to me and and let me use a set of cables from thier battery dept.I was very appreciative of his kindness and just being a good guy.The store looks amazing and they now have a customer for life.Thanks Erik and crew for helping out a stranded Captain!

I purchased a cable here and never used it brand new in original packaging I came in to return it and was not offered a return because “they don’t see it in the system” mind you I’m a member of the store and they have all my receipts on the system. I asked for store credit and the manager refused that as well. Terrible customer service and this is over $65 Imagien if I had an issue with a $6,000 gps I would be in a bad spot due to the lack of customer care

I delivered to West Marine with an 18 wheeler today and I would like to thank Mike and David for their help unloading! I was scheduled for 08:30am and was a little early but that was not a problem. They have 2 dock doors that face S Carolinda, and you should back up to the west dock, the one on the end, closest to the driveway behind the building (however you want to put it- see photo). That's what I did after Mike came out to break my seal. Backed in, and went around behind the dock to walk inside for unloading. The guys couldn't have been any happier to explain what to do and then to actually do it! After delivery I pulled out to shut the doors and David came out to seal me for the next store delivery. Easy peasy. Directions:from i95 exit 79 PGA blvd go east to US hwy 1. T/R onto US hwy 1 and then turn right before the Marathon gas station on the right (2nd right comes up quickly). That's S Carolinda. Go almost to the end and get in the left turn lane to go behind the building. The 2 docks you see ahead of you is where you will back in for West Marine. My truck turns poorly so I drove behind it and jacked-backed to the dumpsters then headed back towards where I came in to get it straightened up to back in (like a 3 point turn in drivers ed). When leaving I went left right left. Left on S Carolinda and right at the immediate stop sign. Then get in the left turn lane for PGA Blvd and get in the right lane (3rd from center of road) to get back to i95. Both interstate ramps are on the right. Thanks!

I always have a wonderful experience at the North Palm West Marine location. People complain about the prices on some items but who else is open 7 days a week and almost every single day of the year. As well as, I shop there because of the employees. They're always welcoming and friendly. Greet me with a smile and spend 2 minutes helping me or 2 hours depending on what I need and how much information I'm looking for. It's rare these days to find a big business who wants to make their customers extra happy and will go out of their way to do so. I have no problem spending a few more dollars to support a brick and mortar and keep local businesses alive.

Usually well staffed with competent, friendly people who keep it clean, and organized. They have a great selection of just about anything you would need to fix a boat. They also have a great selection of just about anything you would need to go have fun on a boat, too.

Very helpful staff and good selection of Marine products and accessories. I didn't want to pay for a full air pump line replacement so I managed to Jerry rig one together with stuff they had in the store. One of the staff even helped me along in my endeavors and I was grateful for it.

This place is packed with beautiful friendly young ladies and helpful eager young men. I felt like i was stepping back into a friendlier time and place. The selection is much better than Daytona and Orlando. The workers were all busy but i think everyone i saw asked how i was or said hello. 4 stars because WM is still typically more expensive than just about anywhere else. Ah screw it, the service would be worth it, 5 stars.

The staff is very good. Inventory...not so much. On line said item was available, I got to the store. It wasn't. Not the first time it happened. The staff is happy to order anything but I can get it faster on line myself. Tough for a brick and mortar.

The store is great and clean. It has a good selection of clothing, fishing, and boating needs. However, they are extremely overpriced on most things. The employees are usually nice and ready to help. It is a great place to go, especially if you are looking for something imparticular.

This store has gone down fast fast fast. They are very rude, they are always out of everything and if you ask them, they are very rude and act like you just inconvenienced them by asking. They are way more expensive than anyone around and the quality is not really that good.Save you money go to boat owners warehouse or order on line. You will be much happier that you did. This p-lace SUCKS

If you need help with anything, John, the guy with super blue eyes, is the guy to go to. He’s AMAZING. This guy is so incredibly nice, patient, and best of all, super knowledgeable! They definitely could use more people like him.

Big store , not the cheapest but high end products .Lots of sales associates, however you get the feeling that your presence in the store is annoying them . Service is surly at best , incompetent at worst.Stopped in for a number of items but decided to put them back and patronize my local shops where my business seems to be welcomed.

Drove 45 minutes from out West to come purchase some items for my boat simple items like Marine wire marine wire connectors and star board. Customer service was way beyond deplorable. Nothing in stock on top of being 200% more expensive wish could give 0 stars

First time there. Not bad place. Had a. experience with a staff member thinking we shoplifted some sun glasses but we showed him our receipt he apologised . I guess that happens a lot nowadays. Still he was just doing his job.

For some reason WM likes to hire people who have no idea what they’re actually doing. I called to ask for the smallest gauge electrical wire they had and the guy came back saying they had 1 awg... not even close...finally he said he found 23awg (surely it was 20-3) with a pricing of $0.99 per foot... simply outrageous

My husband was just in the NPB store and was completely ignored. He took his purchase to the counter and the manager and another person didn't acknowledge him nor told him he would be helped. They were engaged in conversation. He pushed the item closer to the person at the register. Still NO acknowledgement! He put his wallet away and walked out! I see major retailers closing the brick and mortar stores because of online shopping, this is why!

Would never go there again! They had a sale on fire extinguishers buy one get one free and there was only one on the shelf so I asked the salesperson if they had anymore and he said NO. So I asked if I could have them order one for me or give me a raincheck when another one comes in and he said NO. He told me I could only get one and I'm out of luck. VERY RUDE...IF YOUR SALE IS BUY ONE GET ONE AT LEAST HAVE THE MERCHANDISE OR GIVE THE CUSTOMER A RAINCHECK. THE IDIOT DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A "RAINCHECK" WAS.

Easy parking, friendly staff, decent inventory. It is still MUCH smaller than the Fort Lauderdale location. They don't have any rigging services here. Electronics selection is also much smaller than in their Fort Lauderdale location.
