I wanted to give the groomer a try, so I called to make an appointment a few days ago. After I made the appt I researched a little bit further and realized she had a lot of bad reviews, so I became uncomfortable with the idea of leaving my pet with her so I called to cancel the appt. She told me she requires 48 hours notice in order to cancel an appt and that if I wanted to book again I would be charged a cancelation fee even though I was calling her with 24 hours notice. She didn't mention anything about a cancelation fee when I made the booking. She was rude about it and I'm so glad that I stuck with my instincts and did not leave my pet with this woman.

The groomers are fantastic!! You can tell they love all the fur babies. My dog is a very nervous nelly and they make him feel so comfortable. Just love this place. Oh and they do a fabulous job with the grooming too. Rocky 's mom!!

I was looking in the area for a dog groomer for my Pomeranian. Dog Gone Fancy had multiple positive reviews on Nextdoor. Decided to give them a shot. Mary was great, Christy our stylist did an outstanding job. My pet could sense she was in a pet friendly atmosphere, no stress, from the onset. Found her on Mary’s lap when I went to pick her up. They don’t use cages to house the pets during grooming stay. Loved the idea. Highly recommend them. Frank, Donna and Prada.

What a great experienced and professional establishment this is! Sue, the owner, and all the groomers are kind and loving to dogs and cats alike! They treat your pet as if he/she is their own pet! Could not ask for a better, cleaner, thorough, well-run groomer. I highly recommend them! They can also board your pet. When boarded, they are always around people and other dogs and cats; never left alone. I'd give them 7 stars if I could!

My 4 month old (6 lbd) puppy desperately needed a trim as he couldn’t see with all the hair in his eyes. The haircut was good but I left feeling like a wanted to cry. I was told upon entering that my dog is a handful and that he obviously rules the nest. We are working on typical puppy behavior but at 4 months he is still a work in progress. They were very kind to my dog and really seemed like they want to work with him but I just can’t shake the feeling of being chastised. I don’t think that was the right approach. Better wording would be “he needs to become more acclimated to this process”. I think their dog skills may be great but their people skills need some work.

I love taking Bogey to get groomed at the Salon. He is already 17 years old so I do not trust him to strangers...... Mary is always making sure he is well groomed and spoiled! Thank you for all the love you give him!!!!!

We had our collie groomed here and they did an amazing job. He has a massive undercoat and he would go in big and fluffy and come out sleek and shiny and about half the size with his undercoat all brushed out. I'm sure he was much more comfortable in the summer heat after a visit here. I didn't realize what a rare find this place was until I moved and haven't yet found anyone who can tackle his undercoat like Dog Gone Fancy.

I am writing this review, in behalf of my Mom, Norma Coleman. She dictated the following to me, but felt very upset about her experience at this dog groomer, "Dog Gone Fancy", and asked that I write the review down for her. She states the following:I came to "Dog Gone Fancy" and explained to the groomer that I like my Havanese's coat to be long - the way that it is - and that I am looking now for a little trim around the paws. I also stated that at some point I may consider cutting the hair shorter but now I want it long. With that said, I believed that the groomer understood that I wanted a wash and comb and to trim a little around the paws. The groomer did not ask any questions nor attempt to further clarify what I needed or wanted for my dog. I felt that she would've understood the simple explanation and request that I gave her.Then when I returned to pick up my dog, I found that the groomer had chopped his hair in many layers that were 3, 4 and 5 inches of hair removed! She cut all around his body, between his legs, chest and even his beard and ears. She did this all on her own decision, as I definitely did not ask for this as I did not want this to be done. She was incredibly careless in her actions. I found it quite offensive that she would take it upon herself to cut his hair, as I guess, she thought his hair should be cut. Now, it will take may months or even up to a year for his hair to be the length that it was and how I have loved his hair to be.This was extremely unprofessional.

As a groomer of Dog Gone Fancy I must reply to Andrea Mosseri. How unfortunate it is to be spoken to with the foul language you chose to speak to me with as I'm asking you what would you like to be corrected. As you may not know, the previous groomer that worked on your dog wrote specific instructions on how your dog is to be done and it included instructions to not touch the ears unless instructed to by you. Fyi... They left on good terms and auditioned the groomers that replaced them. The only changes you added were to cut the clean face and feet with a #30 blade which by industry standards is a huge liability risk. Although i was uncomfortable applying a #30 blade to your dog, I took every precaution to not cause razor burn and completed your request. You decided to come into our shop after 4 hours of grooming and scissoring and provided no constructive criticism whatsoever. You began to drop f bombs and insults with no input on what i could improve on. At one point you attempted to walk out without paying. I posted a picture of your dog so people can judge for themselves. Its the pretty brown colored Standard Poodle with the pom pom bracelets. It seems the only thing ugly that day was your attitude. We don't want you to return. Good luck finding a groomer that will tolerate your negativity.

Should be called dog gone ugly ! I have been going there for just under a year and was HAPPY Took my dogs there today and got a hot shot when I picked up the girls I was stunned the Worst job ever ears where a mess hair not brushed or trimmed and not cleaned on the inside,! I would NOT recommend them. Unfortunately the groomers I used there have left now I need why! Hey hoy shot I see many other oeople are not pleased with you ! Let me know when new owners take over

The owner Mary is not very nice. There are ancient wood stools to sit on while you wait. The place is old and dirty....I found a newer, clean, more accomodating groomer.

I have a panicky, fiesty schnauzer that has been turned away by other groomers. This place is not only kind, loving and accomodating to my "difficult" baby, they also do a fantastic job. Have been taking both my shitzu and schnauzer here for years and am always very pleased with the service.

My shih tsu Jack used to hate going to the groomers. He behaved well while there, but he resisted going in with all his.12 pounds. He would also come very unnerved. Now, he even knows where we're going about halfway there. He starts to sniff, put his nose to the window, and begins to whimper with impatience. Once we get there, he's in the door like a shot.

Mr Trommer. You should be thanking Mary instead of saying she was rude. If it was not for her, your dog would have run out the door and killed by a car on Northlake. She basically saved your dog as you stood their laughing at the dog.
