Twisty Cone Ice Cream 1615 Georgia Street, Palm Bay, FL., 329072 StarsAs I delve into ice cream ratings, for man cannot live on entrees alone, there are two types of this delectable frozen concoction of cow's milk – soft serve and hand scoop. The establishment's owner never makes soft serve; instead, it is a mix fed into a machine. That said, more emphasis on soft serve will be placed on service and topping options, not product.Yestreen, my random name generator, informed me that I would be at Twisty Cone Ice Cream today. If you're a local, you must be familiar with Twisty Cone in Palm Bay. It's been there since the late 70s and, for the most part, has been under the proprietorship of the same family, the Tharps. The Tharp clan owns the land, the building and the Auto repair shop next door. They are a cornerstone of Palm Bay society if there is such a thing.As I stepped up to the counter, I was greeted by a delightful young man by the name of Camden. Camden was extremely affable and knowledgeable about the comestible articles this fine establishment offered the general public. I asked Camden if I could have an All-Beef Hot Dog with Sauerkraut and a Banana Split (a childhood favorite).Before I even started, the Banana Split melted into a soupy mess. I have to surmise that the settings in the soft serve machine need an adjustment, as I am sure there is no setting for soup. I also noticed that there was no condiment stand. This led me to surmise that you must ask for all your dog's stuff. The hot dog itself had the consistency of a low-grade wiener one finds in elementary school lunch and had a rather foul taste. I don't know if it turned bad; all I'm saying is that it tasted like it turned bad.I was generally saddened by my most recent experience at this local icon that had people lining up around the block at one point in time.The Big Boy says, "Skip it until they fix the machine and get a better food supplier. There is better soft serve as well as hot dogs elsewhere

Ordered a speciality artic swirl, price claims $8.69 for this product. Ordered the item and was charged over $10.00. Proceeded to explain that the icecream I ordered was extra. Shouldn't this be disclosed? Spoke to the acting manager. I got a sorry. So many companies are mitigating towards these practices. A full disclosure of upcharges when asking additional options vs allowing them to do the math and have to go back and ask why the additional charge. So essentially because I opted for a sugar free when asked I ordered a speciality, speciality. Check your receipts with businesses that have these shady practices.

My husband was born and raised in Palm Bay, I am from Arizona. Before moving here and starting a family, every trip always included Twisty cone, it has always been nostalgic for him. Now living here our kids grow up with twisty cone as a special treat just as my husband did. We also order the ice cream cakes for birthdays and special occasions, can't rave enough.

We have been going to Twisty’s for well over 5 years and drive over 30 minutes each way to have their ice cream. It’s amazing tasting ice cream, the sonic blasts are awesome and they offer a pup cup. Highly recommend and well worth the wait if there is a big line at times.

Who doesn't love ice cream 😋. This place has been a favorite for years. Recently we made a road trip to get a cone. Lots to choose from.The younger generation is what will kill a business. The entitled attitude and careless customer service they show hurts. They would rather play with phones and talk to friends than take care of the customers.

I was having such a urge for a twist ice cream cone. Twisty cone ice cream to the rescue! There were people there eating ice cream but no one in line in front of me. I received super fast service and the chocolate twisty that I wanted. I was so excited I hated before I thought to take a photo 😳. Sorry but it was a typical chocolate ice cream cone and it was yummy 😋

Well.... I go to Bruesters, the lines may be long and I do my best to support local businesses as you should but this place hires and fires like working for a living is a tease. I've heard horror stories from current and ex employees about the owner and that bothers me. I love soft serve ice cream but I'm not willing to support a local business who fires half the staff for no reason. Half the town has worked there growing up over the years but now, good luck having this as your first job. The owner should just work there alone as a way to save money. Burberry and Bruesters for me. Local businesses should be more flexible and less money hungry. 2 thumbs down, great name, bad business sense. Regardless, I'll always support local businesses who treat their customers and employees like they matter.

Worth the wait in line. We usually hit up a different ice cream stand. But, this time we stopped here and we LOVED it! Not into dairy? Me either. So while the kids had ice cream I had a Hawaiian ice. So delicious! A must stop on the way to our other activities.

Excellent ice cream--definitely worth a stop! The Arctic Swirls are very delicious and lots of great flavors to try. My only complaint is that it can sometimes be a bit busy--but I guess that is just a sign of how good it really is. Enjoy.

The ice cream was delicious! 🍦They have a big, beautiful new deck on the side and a big beautiful patio in the back! So happy to see a sugar-free choice. It was just vanilla, but it was delicious! I believe they had other sugar-free flavorings because the last time I tried half vanilla and half chocolate, I did not like the chocolate. The other flavorings might be delicious. Love this place!! ❤️

Nothing bad to say about the ice cream but, yesterday, when I was there with 3 kiddos (my own a nephew and niece, and another adult) There was some very suspicious behavior of 2 random people just standing there in line. They let us ahead of them, then started staring at the kiddos very intensely and not in a normal way, the window attendant, overly excited, attempted to take a picture of the kids as well, if it was not by the intense and continuous look of disapproval of my sister, he would have. Also, he completely ignored the customer he had before us on the other window, to help us, which i found strange. And the other customer did too, obviously annoyed because he was not finished ordering.One of the suspicious persons behind us positioned themselves really close to one of the kids, I saw the suspicious behavior and stood directly between them, in which she immediately moved because she realized i saw was she was doing. The atmosphere was intense, heavy and suspicious (definitely not normal). And by the time we left, the suspicious people behind us waiting to buy ice cream, Left without buying anything! After all the time we were there.I am a single mom who takes my child alone to places, maybe this was something, maybe it was not. My point with this message is to create awareness. Please, parents, be aware of your surroundings and the people in it. This place is very close to 95, is better to be careful than to be sorry.And a call out to all parents in Brevard county, if we are all vigilant and aware of even smalls or suspicious situations or behaviors, we lower the percentage of bad people targeting our county, neighborhoods and children.Update: Responding to the owners answer, I will give you one more star to make it 3. Because the part where your Employee was gonna take a picture of my kids without asking still stands as Inappropriate!.

Omg!!!! I have driven 500 miles for a simple zebra/swirl! Best ice cream flavors and sugar-free options for me. When I lived in Palm Bay I would take my dogs there on hot days or after a vet appointment. They would just get a simple vanilla cup, here's a photo of Velvet. She passed away this year from lymphoma. This photo was from 4 years ago. She loved getting in the truck and going to Twisty Cone. My cubs, of course, love going here too. They always get some crazy combination of flavors.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to enjoy your ice cream. This IS NOT the place to visit.The shaded deck with comfortable chairs is now the equivalent of a daycare playground. Young children pushing the chairs around, climbing on railings and being very loud. All the while mothers chatting and oblivious to the chaos they have created and no ice cream is being consumed.You would be better off sitting in your car.

The dragons blood ice with sweetened condensed milk is my daughters favorite. I tried the churro twist special. It had a nice balance of ice cream, cinnamon and crunch.We made another trip and tried the strawberry shortcake Sunday sand it was so good.

A treasure in our area . Love their Dole Whip, dipped cones, and mix ins. Huge variety. Their soft serve is delicious. My dad drives over from satellite beach just to get their ice cream.
