This is the only place I will take my babies. Last year Dr Smith saved my beloved cat Jupiter's life, he was very sick with a urinary blockage. It was not just the fact that he saved him, it was the level of compassion and patience him and his staff showed towards me in my very emotional state. They made sure to give frequent updates and lots of love towards Jupiter who had to stay there. I also bring my dog, other cat and now new baby kitten there. I am so grateful to have them in our lives. I went to get the number for a friend and saw I never left a review, they deserve more than 5 stars.

My dog Luna was spayed here last Tuesday. Ive had 5 dogs in my life and not one of them has ever had a surgery as amazing as this vet just preformed.!She has been walking around like nothing happened at all since the day I brought her home.The surgery was done so so incredibly well.! There isn’t even any redness or irritation around the incision.! This quick of a recovery can only be possible by a vet who took the time and cared greatly for the animal they were treated..I’m blessed.

Due to unfortunate circumstances we had to find a vet to help end our dogs suffering. He was very old and experienced a seizure episode, he had not experience them before. We had never been to this office before but they understood very quickly the pain we were experiencing making this decision. They asked minimal questions once they understood this was the only option. Our dog was very nervous around unfamiliar people and animals so the staff not only allowed us to wait in the car but allowed us to use a separate door to enter and leave in. They did not perform unnecessary procedures and were very patient with us after our dog passed. They allowed us as much time as we needed. The compassion the staff showed for an animal they had never even met tells me they truly care for their jobs. We elected to bring our boy home to be laid to rest. About a week after we left the vets office we received a card in the mail signed by all the staff and a little flower blooming pod we could plant in honor of him. It was truly unexpected and very appreciated! This office will always get high praise from me and I plan to send any family or friends to this vet in the future. Thank you to this vet and staff for understanding and loving our pets like we do!

My husband took our dog there today. She gets allergies about every 9 months and needs a shot our regular vet had 3 month wait. For extra 150 could of got her in later in week This vet pulled her records gave her 2 shots and was great. This will be her new vet. Prices our half of what we would have paid in crescent city. The staff was very good and understanding that our dog didn't get along with others kept her separate. She has already stopped itching and it's been less than 12 hours. I would highly recommend them and will be taking my other dog in for check up

Dr. Perry and his staff is the best!! Our dogs are like our kids and they treat them with the upmost care. The staff is always very accommodating when my dog is nervous and they are very kind about any questions. My youngest Labrador retriever had surgery recently and they did a phenomenal job and took very good care of her!

Went today for my dogs first visit at a new vet and had a great experience. The facility is so nice ,clean and organized ! We saw Dr. Hicks and he was very sweet but also straight to the point. All of the staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome glad to call this our new vet clinic ❤️and the pricing didn’t make me want to cry so that’s always a plus !

I took my dogs to Animal Health Center for the first time. I was greeted by a large staff of people there to help with my every need. Everyone was very pleasant and the wait was short. I met Dr. Smith and he saw to my dogs needs and explained what was being done and why he was doing it. I'm very impressed and my dogs have a new veterinarian!

I have a 16 year old lab that had a skin issue and a cancer growth on his paw. The staff was so helpful thru everything… surgery and follow ups went great. His skin and paw are back to normal and I am so very grateful for the help and support that Animal Health Center of Palatka provided! I have my “puppy” back… Thank you! 🙏

Been taking my pets here for 5 years now, even though I moved an hour away I still bring them here. Really nice people all around. I had a pet emergency and had to take my dog to UF vet hospital where he ended up passing away and somehow the vets office knew and sent me a condolences card signed by everyone in the office.I think it shows their compassion and genuine care for their patients.

We have been with Dr. Smith for 8 yrs. now. We have watched 2 go over the Rainbow bridge.He has given me a talking to about my LC Teacup Chihuahua, Karina...asking, "Mom what are you feeding her? Yesterday my cat flea was mauled by two dogs. They got me in promptly and every employee —the front desk, the techs and the veterinarian herself took great care of my flea. Everyone was kind and I was in a room quick can’t thank them enough for making my boy comfortable.

Dr Smith is the very best vet on the planet. He diagnosed an issue with all 3 of my pets that went misdiagnosed for years. We will not go anywhere else. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The best!

I rescue animals & now have 12 who are all seen by the veterinarians here, some with health conditions being treated. I love the new addition to the facility. The staff is excellent, knowledgable & experienced, friendly, efficient, caring and helpful. One negative is that it can be difficult to get an appointment, but that speaks to how popular the doctors are. The location can be an issue for me with the 4 lanes on RT 17 and having to make a u-turn when arriving from Palatka, but heading home on 17 is fairly easy. I have been told there is a cheaper vet in the area but they have long waits. I'm happy with the service from my well qualified vets & fairly short wait times.

What an amazing veterinarian office! A vet's office is not a place to express your political beliefs. It's about taking quality care of your family pets. So if you have to wear a mask, then you will wear one!! In our first visit today, the staff was very attentive and professional. This office was recommended to us by S.A.F.E. Animal Rescue and I can see why. All around we were very pleased and will DEFINITELY return!

This vet is amazing!!! Everyone from the front desk people, to the techs, to the vet herself was so nice and accommodating!! My Great Dane was being difficult and even has to be muzzled and they were able to work with him to keep him calm and help!! I’ll be bringing all of my animals here in the future.

The veterinarians themselves are good, however they really need to replace some of the front desk women. Absolutely rude over the phone, complained about having to come out to the car to deliver pet medication (told me next time I needed to park closer, the car was a solid 20 feet from the door), very unfriendly. I was picking up this medication for my mother however we're shopping for a more friendly establishment after this incident. As a customer service representative myself, I pay close attention to these things because they really can make or break customer experience. Please have a word with your associates to avoid more issues.

Don't try an take your pet (their patient) in an emergency situation. They won't have time for the pet. They tell you to go somewhere else. They take your money for an annual exam and the added charges, but when you really need them they can't be bothered. Second time this has happened and my pet will not be back there.

Look no further! We've struggled for years to find a veterinarian that really cared about our dogs and that we felt we could trust. AHC was highly recommended by a friend because they were able to diagnose and treat his dog's rare autoimmune disorder. We had to make an emergency appointment for our dog that was attacked by another dog, and the staff and Dr. Smith were more than accommodating, immediately springing into action upon our arrival. Dr. Smith is the best veterinarian we've ever seen and the technicians and office staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Our 13 year old dog had to have several staples and drains placed, but made a 100% recovery because Dr. Smith called all the right shots and gave us the know-how to continue her aftercare at home. She actually loved her checkup appointments because of all the interaction and love she receives from the staff! We live 40 minutes away in St. Augustine but will never take our pets anywhere else! AHC has our business for life.
