I came upon a really shocking thing, and I just wanted to share it with you. I discovered that if you cook eggplant with progresso tomato basil soup, for five minutes in the microwave oven, it is the best tasting thing that you've ever had in your life. I was raised on an eggplant farm and I've never tasted such a great combination as this.So I Cook my eggplant in the microwave and then go to Family Dollar to buy the tomato basil soup. I get to check out, it was $2.25, but rather large man employee comes up to me and tells me I can't buy it because it is expired. So I asked him to see if he has any cans that are not expired. He said he didn't have to. He became offended. Said "you are a sales clerk, your job is to help people." He said "I don't have to do anything.". So I went over the Dollar General next-door, and they had the same soup, not expired, for just a dollar. I was shocked. First because they were rude at the Family Dollar. The customer is not always right there. Customer is not always honored. And second because I could get the same soup for just a dollar next store. And they are polite at the dollar general. Shocking! If you try this combination of eggplant and this soup, leave a note below and let me know how it was.

Notice: When this store gets a negative review it is followed up by someone giving it a five star review with no real explanation as to why in order to offset your negative rating. With that said. I Simply ran in the store for a quick item after stopping at Redbox. This is the most horrible store in the city of Pahokee, and surrounding cities. It is dirty, filthy and nasty. The floors look as though they haven't been mopped in years. Items are all in disarray, even on the floor. It makes absolutely no sense for a store to be this wrecked. With visitors and campers visiting the lake, you would think the manager of this store would attempt to have it looking halfway decent. I would not recommend anyone shopping here, boxes are everywhere, carts of merchandise are all over the place. It looks as though dogs and cats have been allowed to run amok through the store. It's a complete disaster.Take a few extra steps and travel next door to Dollar General where the service is excellent, the floors are mopped and the merchandise is tidy. It's a thousand times cleaner than its competition; or travel 20 minutes to the next city. This store is ridiculous.

This manager is Always on the damn phone. The store is a wreck the service is the poorest.. And what I cannot figure for the life of me is how you blow of great candidates for jobs like this with excellent skills and attitude for ppl like this that only seem to make their way in the world having sex with anybody for jobs promotions and socioeconomic favors.. This is the second great job I have applied for along with this woman and it was given to her and she blows responsibility out her ass and I guess nobody ever told you why she left a great job as city clerk to come work for you.. Sex. Sex. Sex. Was never sexually harassed and was actually dating the city manager and was upset he wanted to break up with her for another coworker and she lied. The whole town knew this woman was going with this man. Saw them together everyday. Now she is suing for sexual harassment..This municipality is immorally pathetic. I will be shopping at dollar general from now on. Maybe I will even apply for a job and have better luck their too. Family dollar sucks more and more everyday..

Tried to buy Mango Pepsi yesterday since Pepsi Products were on sale for 3 12 packs for $11. Apparently, since Mango Pepsi is a new product, it doesn't qualify as a Pepsi Product, and I was being charged full price. So, because someone forgot to correctly add this product to the computer that handles the prices, I couldn't get the product that I wanted. The proper thing to do would have been to make a price adjustment, but that did not happen.

They don't have any shopping carts, they always run out of something; rather it's receipt paper or bags. It's so unorganized, messy, and dirty like they never sweep or mop the floors. By far the WORST Family Dollar I've ever visited. I only shop there when I have to or when I don't feel like driving anywhere else.

If you want to get the best price, you should come here. Store can be a mess sometimes, but the saving worth it all.

I had a very bad experience shopping at this store, they need NEW management..the store manager Shonda is very rude and not welcoming..she also treat you like you are going to steal out of the store.. I will no longer shop at that paticular Family Dollar store in Pahokee!!
