Clean store good staff lots of products not much to go wrong. However, I would like to make the point that this store. Like all the other ones I've been through. Mostly Carrie products from other countries.. Give America wants to be self-sustaining. We need to produce our own goods here at home. And not be religioned any other foreign body....

Really is a bad practice not to accept valid competitors coupons. We definitely know where we will be shopping for pet supplies.Store is super dark/ poor lighting and bulbs out. Dog pee in the aisle’s. Front staff definitely focused on tasking. Answered my coupon question then continued on nose to the grindstone.

My Oreo is not always great with people but at Petco they always make him feel comfortable and he always gets an amazing respite card every time. Thank you to the grooming staff at Petco. My Oreo Cookie loves you!

I am extremely disappointed in the employee that just traumatized my dog while attempting to cut her nails. I literally had to halt the service before one paw was even done. I have taken my dog here several times without any incidents and watched through the window while the service was performed. When I was speaking with the manager, the employee tried to say my dog was always taken in the back because of her behavior and she was going to put a note that my dog cannot come back. I just watched her struggle with and yell at the dog she was working on before it was my dog's turn and she told me not to go far because she had an appointment coming. It was clearly HER IMPATIENT behavior that triggered my dog to freak out. I will never patronize Petco again, and you can be sure I will share this experience with family and friends.

This is our go to Petco. All of the staff is super friendly! We took puppy classes with Chris and he is patient and knowledgeable, he always greets us and chats when we are in the store.

Convenient location, plenty of parking, easy access, nice sales. Love that it has improved its dog & cat food choices over the years. Safe toys available, though as always dog owners have to be careful about reading the labels and which ones are not completely helpful. That of course is not the store's fault and we tell our dog training students which toys to get and how to read labels on pet foods!

I just want to give a shout out to Darla. I had a very bad experience with Doordash that night when they delivered my dog food to an address that didn't even exist and after speaking to them, who told me to go to the store to resolve the issue. Darla was more than helpful. She gave me the customer service number to call to clear everything up and she offered to get the dog food I needed from the shelf since it was heavy and I still had to buy some because my pups had no food to eat. I bought my food and she even offered to take it to my car. She is just awesome people like her who go above and beyond deserve so much more than just a good review. Thank you again Darla hope we cross paths again!

Well organized store but found a limited selection of dog collars. Didn’t find a pink, nylon, double thick, reflective threads and metal closure for my dog. Ended up buying on Amazon. Thanks for being local.

Petco is your go to animal supply store. They have everything you need to take care of and pamper your little critter or fur baby. They also have cats for adoption, fish for sale, reptiles, and other small animals to take home and make part of your family. They also offer pet grooming. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the products they offer. The store is very clean and well maintained. Also, they keep their shelves well stocked with all your needs to take care of your four legged friend.

My recent encounter with Petco left me frustrated. Despite having a valid prescription from my vet for specialized dog food, I was denied purchase because their in-store vet was unavailable and I lacked a special card.This rigid policy is not only inconvenient but also jeopardizes pet health. Pets with specific dietary needs, like my dog Sheep, require uninterrupted access to prescribed food. Petco's insistence on bureaucratic hurdles over pet well-being is concerning.I urge Petco to reconsider its policies. Pet owners rely on pet stores for essentials and deserve more flexibility and understanding. Let's put pet health before bureaucratic hurdles.

The customer service at this store is HORRIBLE. My wife tried to get our dog groomed at this place. She was told our dog needed to have up to date rabies shots. When she went in for our dogs grooming appointment, they told her the appointment could not be the same day as getting the shot so she rescheduled. Her new appointment was yesterday Dec. 22, 2023 at 2 pm. Due to traffic and a parking lot over packed, she walked in 5 minutes late. They RUDELY told my wife they would not groom our dog because she was late. This companies customer service or lack thereof and their rudeness would make me tell everyone to absolutely never to patronize this store. They were absolutely rude, mean and nasty! Worst dog place ever!!!!

There is no empathy from the staff - especially the manager. I wish I could remember her name - she was just plain rough to deal with. I came in with a script from my doctor that they had called about. If I can only get prescription dog food from the vet there, then why is it outside of the vet's office? Why was that not told to my vet that I had to talk to their vet? Along with that, their grooming staff was just plain rude when we had to deal with them. I get that customer service can be a rough job but a little empathy does go a long way. I would never recommend this Petco to anyone.

Be very careful about taking your pet here. We took our 10 lb chorki here on a Tuesday after he got into a spat with his bigger brother. The spats happen occasionally due to sibling rivalry. There was no broken skin or apparent wounds, but the little guy would cry when petted or when walking. We explained all of this and told them what we were giving him for the pain. To start with we never saw the vet examine him. They took him out of the room. The vet brought him back and said there was nothing wrong with him and got onto us for giving him the canine aspirin for the pain. After 4 days and pup still crying in pain we took him to another vet. He had a soft tissue injury to the back of his neck and an injury to his knee. New vet was very caring and explained everything to us. Said we could continue with what we were giving him for the pain and called to check on him later. I will never take another animal to this place. I put in a complaint to their main office and haven't heard a thing back. Makes me think they really don't care about your fur babies.

I bought a catfish less than a week ago. The fish died. I was told by the manager Sarah Jean there was a 30 day warranty on the fish. But before replacing it, I have to bring a sample of the tank water. Because I didn’t bring the died fish she will not do a one time courtesy and give me another catfish. Even after testing the water and found out the tank pH was low. Apparently catfish cannot live in a tank that has a low pH. This is my first fish tank ever and I am learning so instead of charging me for another fish, maybe she should have honored the new fish after testing the water to make sure it was safe. They also keep track of all purchases in their computer and could see that I recently bought the fish. Sarah Jean is a rude person and I have NEVER experience such rudeness in this store. I had to prompt her into helping me. She did not volunteer information I had to ask the right questions in order for her to give me an answer. After she gave me the product I need to help my fish tank I asked her how does it work. She told me the directions are on the back. Completely rude!!! I do not want to do business with her ever again. I will let ALL my fish died first

Every time I go into the store, especially to see the vet. They always inform me something has changed and no one ever knows the full correct information, so I end up constantly being missed informed. I'm really starting to regret having the membership. It doesn't seem worth it and I'm starting to feel like no one truly genuinely cares about what they do. I understand that sometimes people may not have a good day and not want to give there 100 percent when they wake up. But its truly so inconvenient that I have to experience something every single time I go in. I wish they hired people that truly love what they do and show it to the pets and pet owners.

After years of buying 12 crickets a week here for my leopard gecko I was informed that the least amount of crickets you can buy from this location is 40. I’ve asked countless employees why this is only for them to tell me they have no idea why this was implemented. This policy is annoying and inconvenient and therefore I have taken all of my business to Pet Supermarket by the Target in Orange City.I also took my golden doodle here to get a summer cut and you can see how they absolutely did me and my dog a disservice.

They charge for bags. BAGS! 😆 They actually charge for bags! Good luck carrying those 24 cans of cat food! I don't think I've ever seen such a petty example of corporate greed in all my life!

Petco really needs to change their policy about requiring a barcode if you’re purchasing prescription cat food that has to go through their vet. I’ve purchased C/D Urinary multicare multiple times without them ever needing a barcode on their app at multiple locations, including this one.To make a long story short, I get a 17.5lb bag shipped from Covetrus to my house. Sometimes they run behind and I have to get a small bag to hold us over until the shipment arrives. It was not delivered when the company said (which was at the end of the day).I went to this location at about 7pm to get a bag because I literally had no food in the house for my cats.They refused to sell me the food, even though I showed my prescription from TWO VETERINARY CLINICS (one from my old one in another state and one from my current one), had screenshots of appointments from my vet that confirmed all 9 of my cats eat this food. I had all of the contact information handy and told them I could call my veterinarian to get a verbal confirmation. Nope, it wasn’t good enough.The cashier and manager argued with me and insisted there was “no way I had purchased it without a code.” Somebody clearly knows how to override it because this was the first time I’d ever been told of that policy in the 10 years I’ve been buying this cat food. What made me even angrier was that they knew all veterinary offices close to us were closed and my cats had no food until the next morning. They pretty much just shrugged and said, “Sorry.”I walked out of the store embarrassed and in tears because I felt like I had failed my animals. I understand policies are there for a reason. I understand you have to see a prescription but there has to be a way you can either look at someone’s proof and override the barcode or have a vet on call that talk to you because this should not have happened.I’ll come here for mice for my snakes but nothing else. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

I had a horrible experience at Petco. I gone in to buy some fish and the young man spoke to me like I didn't know how to take care of them He told me that he doesn't sell his fish to anybody. Then I question them to buy some more fish. And he told me that I wasn't allowed to buy any more fish because it takes 20 minutes to bag them all up. So I need to come back after I buy my first too

We buy all of our amphibians and reptiles here. Have a great discount on the small creatures as well as great discounts on dogs and cats when you get the monthly pet insurance. Has come in handy more times than not

On February 3,2024 I witnessed one of the groomers being very rough while grooming a dog! I was waiting in line to make a return. The dog yelped a couple of times. I could see that she was frustrated. I would NEVER bring my dog to get groomed there! A word of advice to the groomer choose another profession! These are our fur babies!

I have been here a few times, with a few different furry kids, and have always been impressed by the service. To say they have gone above and beyond, is putting it mildly. I had to have one of my furry kids put to sleep (he was 13, and couldn’t be healed) and this took place at an emergency pet hospital in Deland.This evening I received a condolence card, signed be each employee. I cannot tell you how moved I am by this gesture. I will call them tomorrow, and thank them for this. But I just want to put online how amazing each employee is at this location (and the location in Sanford also provided great service when I visited them).Thank you just doesn’t feel like it’s enough.

**Updated 3/15/24, 2:30pm**Came back for the first time in 7 months out of desperation - just needed a quick nail trim, thought "maybe...". Tried to call ahead, grooming line just rang and rang, tried to make online appt, but they don't accept appts for nail trims. Came in and was very rudely greeted by the groomer who said I needed an appt (again, online they don't accept these and state clearly "walk in!") and that she had a schedule she couldn't do anything. I tried to explain I couldn't make an appointment and she told me I needed to keep calling until I could get one. She was very rude. Just her and one dog there. I will never come back to this Petco for grooming or any other needs, and really wish we could replace it with a better competitor like Petsmart in the area. Even with all the negative reviews, they don't seem concerned with how this place is run.Be warned, the grooming hours are not set on any days, just whenever someone is there, and they don't make appointments ahead of time for things like nail trims so it's just luck of the draw.Even though grooming hours are clearly a d individually posted here, I was told by associates today they aren't accurate and change day to day. Came in, all 3 dogs in tow, and was told there was no one on duty.

My first and last visit. My dog smelled better when I dropped her off than when I picked her up. Ny baby smelled awful when I picked her up.Also, her nails were cut too short which caused her pain and discomfort. I will not back!
