Wonderful items a plenty, friendly staff but today while visiting some crazy customer with a autistic kid started screaming at everyone and threatening to hit people with her car. She was incredibley rude to everyone in the store and it will be a sad day if something comes of this to any of the employees involved.

I’m kinda upset with the thrift store. I called and trying to set an appointment to have them pick up totes full of misc stuff like dishes, cooking stuff, crock pots, pictures, sewing machine in cabinet, large victrola, and lots more and I’m 2.7 miles away and I don’t have a truck. I was told to call some other charity. But you know what I support the animals and try to do my thing for Marion county and this is the things I get! SMH

I hate that there are soooo many things that are marked not for sale,if this place really donates to the humane society you would think everything would be for sale..I also asked if they truly donated to the marion county humane society and they said yes...towels..really??

Organized and clean. No weird smells. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were willing to work with us and help us find something for my Mother-in-law wedding, even searching through the new stuff just coming in. I am a movie collector and 6 movies to add at $1 each. One thing I wasn't expecting was that there was tax on the movies. But then I was given a chance to donate to the Humane Society for the Animal facility. Found some good buys - still searching for a dress.

The crew that picked up our living room furniture were more professional and polite than most commercial establishment services.

Was out and about yesterday and wondered into this Thrift Shop. The concept of this store is great in helping with the Humane Society and it’s shelter animals! My rating is purely based on the cost of used items in the store and the odor. The shop itself has a lot of neat things if you’re someone like myself who’s an antique and DIY kind of person, more then likely you’ll find something here, I did! Some of their stuff for being used and being that it’s a thrift store are a bit too high in my opinion, as I feel that thrift stores aren’t meant to be overly high in cost being that everything is used and some not in great shape. Especially if you’re going to repurpose it and spend the money to do so. The employees are very nice and it’s a large place so your going to find something I’m sure. The shop does have an odor to it which was a bit off putting but manageable. All in all was a good store with a lot of what you might be looking for if you take the time to look. Happy Hunting 😊

I have been a shopper here for at least 10 years . The staff has always been helpful and kind. I happen to be there the day that what I would call a misunderstanding took place between an employe and customer.I was absolutely saddened by the behavior of the grandmother and mother. Why would you think that the actions you have taken by suggesting people not shop at this establishment is appropriate.?The animals that benefit had nothing to do with it. Furthermore your actions in the store that day certainly were not appropriate. Yes you did threaten to run an employee over when leaving.

Went in there today (October 5, 2023) and had my autistic grandchild with me sitting in a shopping cart. My grandchild is nonverbal but can make sounds, however a worker/volunteer named Cassie (if that’s truly her name) started making fun and disgruntled faces to the customers in line 😡. My daughter saw her doing this this and spoke up and let that person know that it is totally inappropriate to mock a disabled child - or anyone for that matter!! Needless to say we will never patronize that place - and anyone that has a disabled person in there life, I’d advise you to do the same.

You must experience the black Friday sale. You make friends and get way more stuff than you planned.

Hey, I sincerely apologize to this establishment.😓 My initial review, which mentioned the staff kinda rushing customers out, so they can close early was mentioned for the Salvation Army thrift store, directly adjacent to this one.😅 The HS store staff are actually really laid back, and very helpful. It may not be as neat, and tidy as the place next door, but you have waaayyy mosre stuff to browse through...and I like that the proceeds go to help the local Humane Society animal shelter. Sorry for the confusion,😅 fun store to visit when you're thrifting, or looking for something specific.

Change your hours if youre gonna kick people out at 4 pm. Extremely distasteful. A older gentleman was asking for assistance and the worker said he need to go to the front or ask some one else and blew him off. Was rude and dismissive. She continued to shew me to the front of the store because the 'back' is closed where all the clothingn is, she couldn't be late for her babysitter as if its our fault were shopping. I made sure to check hours before ai came.. i was rushed to the line to sit in it for ten minutes. I was willing to buy more items but now I wont be back..

I find the best value here! If I only have a few minutes to look somewhere the Humaine Society is where I have to stop. I have found some amazing things with wonderful stories and great history behind them. I am always greeted with a smile and a hello when I walk in the door. Everyone here is constantly working to get the most inventory out with the best value to the customer. It’s nice to know that your money from your purchase is going to help local animals. I’ve taken so many of my friends there, and they can’t believe how little they spent for such great quality. You just have to look. Then they find something to donate. Let’s all do our part and ♻️ Recycle, with our things and our money.

Thrift stores are awesome options for finding great stuff at incredible prices! Stuff you need, stuff u want, cool stuff you’ve never seen before and have to figure out what it is, and beautiful stuff that you immediately cant live without, lol. This store is well organized, well tended and has some of everything you could want. check them out often, as great prices mean great finds will sell quickly . Really, one of the best for avid treasure hunters.BONUS: The staff is fantastic! Kind, caring, friendly and fun!EXTRA BONUS: supporting a great mission!

I have been using the Marion County Humane Society's Thrift Shop for donations many times over 16 years. I do so because of their standards, professionalism and caring exemplified by the fact that it is a nokill shelter. As a no kill shelter thepressure to care for animals is intense. Anything I can do to help them, to me, is important. When I do have something to donate they are always awesome to deal with, quick torespond and very professional. I lastdonated furniture, which was heavy. Ispoke to Monteen, the manager andin a few minutes I was her schedulefor pickup. Dustin and Doug arrivedand very quickly had it all moved out. Ican't recommend them enough. Please donate to the very wonderful organization.

I’ve always enjoyed shopping here but recently they have gotten a little crazy with their prices. The skinny blonde lady is very rude and overprices things. I would understand if maybe they were a boutique but they’re literally a thrift store. All household items are “50% off” but they’re priced to be high and then after the discount they’re what they should have been originally. I wanted to purchase a mug but because it was Rae Dunn it was $5 when the rest of the mugs are $1. They shouldn’t price differently based on brands, like I said, not a boutique, you’re a thrift store. Tracy is the best and they truly do have cute stuff but they have just become very pricey and the staff has become a little rude.I won’t be shopping here as much anymore, veery sad to see my favorite store go downhill. 😔

Plenty of inventory and variety, well organized. Books were sectioned off by alphabet. There were CD and Cassette tape audio book sets available at bargain prices. A treasure hunter's paradise. My only regret was that I got there just before closing, would have loved to stay there longer. The staff for friendly and patient with us last minute customers!

prices are expensive for a thrift store and the skinny old blonde lady who looks like a human ashtray is rude. she should be nicer if she expects to sell as much as possible quickly. I also hope she doesn't work directly with animals. having said that, I do like the fact they're giving the money the store earns to the animal shelter but who really knows for sure? too bad because I went there several times and purchased a lot, donated hundreds of dollars worth of stuff, but she was never this rude! she just lost me as a customer and now the animals will suffer because of it.

Their prices can be a bit higher than other thrift stores, alot of items you don't know what you are going to pay for it till you get to the counter. Alot of stuff is priced tho. Nice staff. I just always get a shock when my total is $20 and I felt like I only had $5 or $6 dollars worth of stuff. But I guess prices are going up everywhere and at least I know my money is going to a good cause. I always find great things in there tho.

Super nice place for great deals. I picked up a $240.00 grill for 10$. Too sweet. I almost felt guilty getting it so cheap. There is a lot of stuff to look through.

This is the Best Thrift Store in Marion County. I shop at all of them and they are the most reasonable and the staff are always helpful and friendly. My go to for electronics instead of the retail stores and Dustin is always helpful and helps me find what I need!

Passing through on vacation we checked out this thrift store. Great variety and low prices. Monteen was very helpful and able to explain how this store helps support animal care. Enjoyed the employees that bring their pets to work. Che k it out if you are around the area❣️

Large inventory. The staff on the floor was friendly and helpful but the woman behind the counter was rude. And the manager that I had to deal with was extremely rude. Overall it’s a good place to shop as long as you don’t mind paying a little extra for an item you could get much cheaper at the Salvation Army.

Hands down one of my favorite stores and for a cause so near and dear to my heart. I always find something here, prices are good..seems like all the thrift stores hiked their prices up a lot in 2020..theirs still seem reasonable. Staff is great and always enjoy seeing and talking to them..we live about 25 mins from this store and pass several but usually make the drive to donate.
