I always have a great experience at the Oakland Animal Medical Vet at Petco. My pups were happy and excited to be here. The employees helped puppy feel so welcomed and comfortable. After updating my 5 year old bettas broken tank, he started to refuse to move out of his shelter. After a week of this behavior, I decided to seek help at Petco. They went through all the items available, and after two trips and a few plants and decorations later, Bumbles is now swimming around his new tank happy as can be.Both gentlemen I dealt with in the fish department were knowledgeable and got me stocked up on anything that could possibly make my fish happier!I am very happy with this store and happy that they took my old man betta fishes life seriously! 🐟 🐠

They took very good care of me and my dog. My pet (a puppy and 9 months old) was vaccinated and examined very quickly. I was very pleased with the care that my puppy received.

The store is fairly large.They have a section for Dog food and supplies and another section for catsI bought cat food here before. They don't always have the best selection. For example I was looking for a cat probiotic and they only had one to choose from.

I placed an order on Sunday and it was to be delivered by Thursday. This was ok because I still had enough food left. Thursday came along and since I had not received it I called and asked what was happening. The order status said it had not been picked up yet for shipping, so I was wondering if I could change to pick up instead and was told no it had already shipped. Yet the site said not even picked up :/ Then I was told it would not be delivered until Monday! So I went to the store to pick up a small bag. Forward to today (Mon) and I have not yet received it. I check tracking again and it says tomorrow Tuesday. This is ridiculous! My pets need their food otherwise I would not have ordered it and it's not cheap either. So worst service ever. My friend had told me that this had happened to them yet I wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt and try it myself. At this point I have to go to the store and get more food for them because, they are out again completely defeating the purpose of me ordering online! I am never ordering from them again.Worst service ever!!! I'm telling all my friends and family to also not shop here. We are all huge animal lovers and all have several pets so this should impact somewhat. Even have friends that work with rescues. Good thing we have several other options.

Scheduled an appointment got text to come in earlier I did. Worst experience ever. I have a 9 month old Jack Russell mix. She is sweet very docile. Had her groomed at different place no problem. She is afraid of any vacuum type of noise they were running the vacuum when we came in asked to stop in the woman’s reply as well. There’s a lot of noise in here. Then the technician tried to coax her a little bit. She turned her head. She didn’t open her mouth no show her teeth and he was insinuating that she was going to nip. This is so far from the truth. I was told that they could not groom her. My dog is one of the sweetest that I know and I cannot believe that how unprofessional these groomers are I will never ever ever take any of my animals there. I could see if they made an attempt to try. I get it, it’s the Holidays but pretty sure they just wanted to leave early.

I believe there is room for improvement in Michael's customer service skills. I recently encountered an issue at the register related to a coupon promotion for buying 6 or more pet food items. While Michael may not have been as welcoming as I had hoped, the main concern arose when he explained that the coupon didn't apply due to the canned food's price being lower than the coupon value.I politely questioned this, as the coupon did not specify any restrictions. However, Michael responded that he doesn't create the coupons and suggested reaching out to the marketing team for any concerns.In the spirit of fostering a positive customer experience, I encourage Michael to embrace his role with enthusiasm and address concerns in a more customer-friendly manner. If customer service isn't his passion, exploring other job opportunities might be worth considering for personal satisfaction and improved customer interactions.

Bethany and Lucas reminded me of a couple of the sales reps at the Sobe store that I was a customer of for almost 2-decades. I just moved to the area and met Bethany over the phone and she was enchanting. Doubly so when I met in person and equally so was Lucas. It was a warm welcome.

What can I say. Very informational to any subject or about any animal. All the staff there including managers have that store amazingly clean, organized and they ask you if you ever need help. And even when you say no, if you at that momment have a question in a isle and walk to find someone they see you and know you need help and ask. And everything on their website listed for sake you will most definitely find in that store. I've bought a new 40 Gallon tank and took their advice and everything turned out great. No pressure and no spike in your wallet. Very good for all pet needs.

Emily from grooming and Erin (I’m not sure of correct spelling) the sales associate. These two gals are absolute angels and we’re beyond helpful and made my new rescue and I feel like we actually mattered after calling and talking to over 11 places in the area to get an emergency bath. Your customer service and hospitality soar above expectations and I hope that petco recognizes you two for your outstanding workmanship and dedication. I love this store! Every time I go there I have such an easy experience and its always a treat I get to bring my dog yuna with me.Today was a great example of just how much this store is always there with the best customer experience and I wanted to show appreciation to Adriana for helping me out.My dog yuna was placed on prescription medication that we purchased through her vet the first time. The second time around I thought the process would be simple purchased through one of the pet stores in the area.I had issues every step of the way today trying to order this new prescription dog food. I was not able to order it online through multiple pet chains or purchase it in person due to issues with the pharmacies getting ahold of the prescription from my vet.For some reason, when I initially tried to order online through petco it had said unavailable for pick up. Thankfully after exhausting all options, I tried again and just set it up for delivery. That is when I got the notification that it was in fact not eligible for delivery but available same day in store! I immediately placed the order and petco contacted my vets office just in time! but I was still unsure and a little anxious so I called the store and Adriana was so helpful in not only reassuring me that they did have the food in stock but also brought it up to the counter so I can go ahead and pick up it up.When I got to the store Adriana was the person who helped me at the register and was so kind and bright! I know she doesn't know this but it had just been A DAY and nothing was going right trying to get this food and what was supposed to be a simple task became a difficult task.She was just that reassuring voice/person and sense of relief at the other end of the line after a really crazy experience. So I wanted to say thank you for the quality customer service and thank you to the store for having that food in stock because it is not any easy food to get.and thank you to Taurean for being kind and providing me with his teammembers name so I could leave this review.

I frequently use this PetCo to get my cats their food and kitty litter. Everything is well organized and stocked with the best products. Also they provide a grooming service and have pets up for adoption. Kittens, hamsters, ferrets, birds, mice, and fish. Friendly staff always helpful and tend to your pet needs and it's a pretty large store so you have plenty to look around at.

Today as I was making my purchase on cat food, there were some mangled cans of the cat food that I sorted out. I asked the cashier if she could sell them to me at discount. She said all she could do is half off. I said no and another cashier proceeds to just dump then in the trash in front of me. Funny, rather throw away the expensive mangled RX cans of cat than just give them to a customer, and do it right in front of the customer willing to take them for free then pay for them as they might actually be bad. Makes me want to dumpster dive. :)
