A great community resource for donating and buying second hand things. This is one of Sarasota's Best Kept Secrets due to the wealthy neighborhood and excellent products donated and never really crowded. I have found some real gems here. Whenever I'm in the neighborhood I always drop by just to see what they have and surprisingly they have some great finds.

When I’m traveling i never know if the goodwill is located in a safe part of town or not. This was a smaller than I’m use to store but in a nice neighborhood. Had an excellent selection and the prices were good and to be expected. There is a “boutique” section that has mostly Chicos and Talbots ect. The staff was very friendly and the store was clean and well organized. I was happy when I saw another customer looking through the brand new rack that was just brought out with stuff to be put away; so I joined in looking and found a gorgeous Frank & Eileen shirt for $6.99. Some goodwills don’t allow that. My only suggestion is PLEASE stop using single use plastic bags. It’s terrible for the environment. They are outlawed in Vermont and we survive just fine without them! The lady was shocked when I asked for no bag and to just carry my items out. Florida has such beautiful beaches, let’s use a little less useless plastic please!!!!

Great selection of clothing. I was looking for a bedside table found a great one for $35 which I’m sure it would cost over $200 new. I got lucky because they did not have a great furniture selection.

Broken Styrofoam drone for sale $60. Used toilet assist pot to use the bathroom in $60. Way overpriced!This store is goodwill meets Ross with loads of new resold items that look like they came from the dollar store. If you're looking for your usual goodwill diggs, don't bother getting your hopes up. I hope all the stores aren't headed this direction . Store was clean ish though!

This store has perhaps the friendliest staff we have ever encountered while shopping at Goodwill stores. They have such a amazing selection with just about everything you can think of or possible need. The prices are unbelievable, and we came here prior to moving into our new home in the area. We found everything we were looking for and ended up saving hundreds of dollars by taking the time to stop at this store! They helped me load a computer desk and we're quick and efficient! This store gets my highest recommendation, and it is rightly earned!

Staff rude to customers as they put clothing on racks as bothered to say excuse me was too taxing, eye rolling and gossiping about coworkers with customers. Drama, unwelcoming and pricing far too high for 100% donated entire inventory. 6.00 for a Tshirt and the "boutique is near new prices. Greed at it's absolute finest.

I was helped by Stephanie today. I had to find a past receipt that was misplaced in my work place. She was so patient, kind, and professional. This employee is exceptional and needs a raise :-). This is a great store to come to!

Used to be one of the best Goodwills around, now...meh. Others are definitely better (Honore, SR70, e.g.) in terms of volume, selection, and most importantly--organization.This one has gone downhill significantly over the past 3 yrs. Where are all the legit 'better' jewelry/ purses/ shoes/collectibles now? Not here anymore. There's only one small glass display with those now, the only other one has cheap new Chinese wares... not appealing or like GW of old at all.I've worked down the block from here for 5 yrs so have been a frequent shopper but it's getting so unpleasant I'll likely only shop 1-2x year, if at all. Such a bummer given given the endless volume of donations I witness daily... what's changed are the huge tractor trailer trucks picking up everything, leaving the interior stock seriously SPARSE. Just wonder where it's all going!Don't get me started on the 'Boutique' where GW intentionally gouges us on their opinion of quality items (like those from Macy's; or junky Target fast-fashion; both of which you can pay *less* for on their own clearance racks, etc, etc). The worst part is, that section takes up 1/3 of the main space, and it's NEVER separated by size -- SOOOOOO frustrating!!Like I said: way downhill. But not a bad choice if just needing (outdoor, dirty) work clothes to chuck later....

I never thought I would ever review a thrift store. But I just had to say that the service here was excellent. The young man ringing us up was very personable and friendly. I came here to find a few out-of-the-ordinary things for my granddaughter's Halloween costume a few weeks ago and received nothing but great help and fast service. And her costume was a hit!

I don't recommend going here. The prices are pretty ridiculous. The selection is MEH at best. I think the management keeps the most useful stuff for themselves. I don't have any other explanation for their horrible inventory.Also, I got charged wrong on an item and walked out of the store at 5pm. They locked the doors behind me. I read the receipt and knocked on the door but they wouldn't let me in. I came back another day and told them what happened and the management lady basically gave me bull saying "it was always priced that high, the lower sticker is wrong". Well then it shouldn't be on there huh? Plus I've purchased several other items that day in the same category, and they ran up correctly at the lower price. She absolutely refused to even give me store credit or at least exchange for something else. I ended paying 6x more for that item that an idiot would tell you isn't worth it.Such a greedy store. Please please go to another goodwill or salvation army or something.

This is my favorite Goodwill location by far. Everytime I walk in I am happily greeted. I feel very welcomed and I never leave empty handed. The prices are spot on and the staff is amazing. Also the store is always very clean and tidy, I appreciate that a lot. I will continue to shop here.

We stopped because the sign says that it is a clearance center howeverbthe prices were higher than our normal goodwill and not consistent like we are use to.Everything was neat and clean. The store is better organized than other goodwill stores we have visited, and the merchandise is in good condition.

looks much smaller from the outside, but inside it opens into other rooms that hold a treasure trove of accessories and accoutrements. I was able to find a nice size suitcase for $10 and brand new sneakers and socks much cheaper than online.

Not the size or volume of some of the other Manasota Goodwills, but the staff is super sweet and it's never seems to be too crowded.

I shop here frequently. There are 2 stores. The Goodwill and the Bargain Barn. I have some advice for both. At the Bargain Barn you better dress in your best gladiator costume. When a new vim is rolled out groups of "people" will gather in opposite ends. When the worker says "go" all hell breaks loose. People pushing and crowding. You have to dig to find anything. If you can handle this then you should be OK. You can find a plethora of items ranging from.furniture to Christmas lights. You just have to do the work. The other store, the regular Goodwill has become so overpriced. The people they have doing the pricing mark almost everything at retail. Dont expect to find really good deals here. Most things are marked initially according to their internet price. Yes, they compare their prices to listings on eBay, Amazon and others. Prices are lower than brand new, but it depends on what you find. There are usually a lot of lines and waiting, but sometimes it has turned out to be worth it. The employees of both places are all pleasant people and will help. However, some of the management team takes advantage. I talk to numerous employees because I'm there so often and the things I've heard about the managemebt style really have me pause from shopping there. Goodwill pays their employees minimum wage. They operate behind a facade of only helping the disabled. If you do your research into charities you should know the CEO makes over 2m a year. You donate for free, he sells your stuff and makes the profit. There's not as much goodwill to Goodwill as one might believe upon first examination.

Love Goodwill! Can be a little frustrating though because the sizes tend to be more mixed up here than in Sarasota stores. Also, boutique item prices are too high.

All of your money and donations are only going towards buying the CEO another house or boat. Most people dont know this either. Its sad. As a company that says their money goes back to helping people. Well it dont. And the numbers prove it. Goodwill is LAST on that list. Only like 6 percent goes back into the community. I absolutely despisr this organization. Try the salvation army where your money and donations go to doing the most good and actually helping people and they are an organization not a company like this place. Goodwill has no integrity. Really sad how they have lied over all these years and still have such a big corporation. I cant believe people havent woken up and did their research on where their money goes. Please do not shop or donate to goodwill. Your money isnt helping anyone but the CEO.
