Best store in town! grace and Alex are amazing and are allways on top of any of my needs!!! so are the owners very helpful allways a blast anytime I go inside! very hard workers!! I've been getting coral and things for over a year nothing has ever crashed my tank or harmed my reef in any way also the waters allways perfect very very clean have never had any issues just want to thank you guys without your store naples would be lost I highly recommend this store!!!......... Also, these are Some of the corals that I have purchased a year ago that have been growing From tiny little baby Frags To these big beautiful coral truly amazing.

Let's just say wow. Beautiful coral and lots of fish to choose from. Carlos was awsom he was very polite and very knowledgeable I have been to many aquarium shops and this one is tops. 35 minutes away but worth the trip. Will definitely 💯 return.

I went in to store today to inquire about getting my first salt water tank. The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. Grace walked me around and showed me many fish that would work well for the tank that was looking into. She seemed very educated on all the different kinds of coral as well. Can’t wait to get my tank soon!

Best aquarium store in Southwest Florida! I have been here a number of times with my dad and have bought multiple coral frags and fish that have been doing great. I totally recommend this store to anyone who loves saltwater aquariums and wants to get into the hobby.

Highly recommend this reef store for our very valued Carlos! He’s Always patient and informative and has helped us start the hobby and maintain our tanks successfully over the past year or so from day one. It’s so nice to always have his knowledgeable input and guidance as we all know it’s not cheap or easy alone!!!

Do not go here. I came from New York and was surprised to see how ugly and unhealthy the coral was... the prices are also similar to other stores nearby and at least those stores have healthy corals.

We have used Barrier Reef home and office tank maintenance services for years and find them to be great partners in caring for our tanks and precious little live creatures. A HUGE shoutout to Tyler, Damian and the Barrier Reef maintenance and store teams for proceeding with extra care while our house recently underwent tenting for termites. How can your tank hope to survive that?? Well the team figured it out. Our clown pair and soft corals were carefully sheltered in-store while the tank was covered and received water and sand changes. Our babies were carefully returned once the tank was ready. The tank would not have survived without the special and attentive care of the Barrier Reef Team. Our li’l babies remain very healthy, happy, and yes, a little spoiled! Thank you so much Barrier Reef Team.

After going into saltwater solutions which was horrible being new to the hobby what a really bad experience!!! I found this place here barrier reef every person in this store is amazing. Carlos and Chris Are awesome and the owners are very friendly these guys have helped me with everything Carlos is very smart and has a lot of experience I highly recommend these guys thank you so much and I am so sorry that I had to walk into that store in Benita and almost passed out when I saw the sick trapped beautiful little fish in little containers that looked like they were suffering!!! Then coming in here to the barrier reef store made me feel very pleasant And I could see that the fish were in such great condition and were so happy in this location thank you guys!!!

This is the best team around! Joe does a great job with my tank maintenance and I honestly couldn't imagine hiring anyone else to take care of my tank! The staff at the store is amazing and always super helpful. Been using them for almost 2 years now and never had anything but great service. I highly recommend them!

Carlos was so patient and passionately knowledgeable. He mentioned it's been a while caring for bettas, of whichI have that I picked up from petsmart. He listened and explained the necessary items I needed, guided me to help with fin rot and provided a live plant source, as well.I Highly recommend The Barrier Reef, so glad I found it and stopped in - it's breath taking!

Carlos and Kristian are wonderful, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful with any questions you have, and also with stocking your tanks with awesome fish and corals.Update February 7, 2023I've switched to using the maintenance services of Barrier Reef for several months now. The maintenance is the very best I've dealt with, and I don't regret changing companies. They go above and beyond to care for your tanks and perform a thorough cleaning (including vacuuming your sand). They treated my coral when I had flatworms, send specialists for my Seahorse tank to educate me on their care, and go above and beyond without watching the clock.I could sing their praises for hours, but, nobody wants to read a novel. I do want to give a shout out to Tyler, Kristian, Damien, Joey, Carlos and MJ of Barrier Reef.

I have never had such an awful experience with a company. Being the only place in Naples that will move fish tanks, I understand how busy they can be. I’ve called them multiple times in regards to moving my tanks and was told each time I would receive a follow up call. Received one call from the owners wife, assuring me everything would be taken care of properly. Never heard back after that. Quoting me different prices, not confirming whether they can move or not. Every time I call they have contradicting information, at least 3 people have asked for the specifics of my tanks and equipment and it’s never recorded properly. I was supposed to be contacted by the owner Tyler personally, never heard anything. When I called the final time, I spoke to Christian who was rude and could care less. I asked him to have the owners wife reach out to me immediately and he responded with “she’ll call you when she feels like it.” Do not waste your time or money on a company that is so unorganized, lazy, and could care less about your belongings.Reply company’s response - where was the estimate “sent out”? To the wrong phone number even AFTER your store confirmed my info THREE times and the owners wife called me, so you guys can’t even confirm a phone number before sending?? The first time I called was Saturday 1/22 at 12:27pm. I spoke with Carlos. I let him know I needed 5 tanks moved, with gal size for each one. I was told I would receive a call from the maintenance department who facilitates tank moving on Monday. No call. I called on Thursday at 6:50pm and spoke with Carlos again. I apologized for the late call and explained I never received any call after I spoke with him on Saturday. He said he passed on the info to maintenance and then confirmed my tanks. He confirmed 2 of the 5 tanks I initially mentioned. He had to take my information down AGAIN, apologized for the bad service and told me Merry Joy would call me the next day. Which she did, I’ll give her that. When I spoke with Merry Joy she asked for my tank info and addresses for a THIRD time and told me Tyler the owner would email me or text me that day with an estimate. You’re saying you sent one but in reality you did not. I will never do business with you and I hope your company learns the value of customer service. Shame on you. Nothing about what I said is slander and I never said we did business. I’m sharing my experience of TRYING to do business and failing terribly on your part.

Very hostile environment would not recommend. Back when I lived in Naples, I went into the Barrier Reef a few times to see what it was like. Selection seemed interesting and was impressed with the display tanks. However, every time I would go to ask a question I would either be ignored or given a very short, almost one worded answer from the employees. I have been looking at their reviews and social media and it seems others have experienced similar issues, taking a look they praise 5 stars and bash on 1 stars calling people liars and stating "we've never done bu with you bef" instead of addressing the issue. They're also using their social media to bash their customers and other businesses in the area.I've never purchased anything from the barrier reef simply because every time I went in I never got the help I needed. After I tried a few times I gave up going back to here. Now I'm completely out of the Saltwater Aquarium hobby and might get back into it.Edit: to the owner and the owner’s wife please look at your Instagram (barrierreefofnaples) and the post that you had of petty Betty on 08/23 and your post from August 15th.

Let’s put it this way, if it wasn’t for this little store, I wouldn’t have reef tanks at all. Best LFS ever. Love coming to this store, no matter what I need, from knowledge and advices, corals and products, they always got what I’m looking for. They gave me RO water instead of salt, decimated my corals I bought from them. They accused me of switching the water I bought to RO water. Then they offered 20% off to restock my tank. I was very offended almost like they were acussing me of destroying my own tank.

They have live brine shrimp, that is usually why I go. They have a bit of corals and fish...but pretty expensive. They're tanks always look cloudy and some just really need a good cleaning. The 2 ladies I usually see are very nice and informative, so it's always a pleasure to go. My main go to stores are Saltwater Solutions on Bonita beach rd in Bonita Springs, and Aquarium Reef in Fort Myers. They also have brine shrimp and ghost shrimp, which marine Betta loves.

Buy fish here, nothing else. Dishonest practice. I was advised that I could return a hardware item after purchase. Less than 24 hours later I attempted to return the item (unused, unopened). Store employee and owner were both present when I asked if I could return the items later, both remember but said “Yeah, we said return, but we meant store credit” I would advise you make minimal purchases if any.
