You do have to go over your receipt EVERY TIME you shop there. ALWAYS something doesn't ring up correctly. Always over charged on items. Always have to go back to have item prices corrected.You need to know the prices ...sale or otherwise .....And the wait at customer service counter is always ...A Wait.

I’m going to start my review by stating I Love Winn Dixie. I live in New Orleans, Louisiana and Winn Dixie is my go to place for purchasing my meat. I have shopped there for years because I find the quality is almost always great! On a recent visit to Tallahassee, I traveled to Monticello to do my grocery shopping. The Winn Dixie in Monticello is small, but clean and had enough of the things I needed to purchase. Here is my problem. I purchased a rump roast that looked great in the package. Once I brought it home and opened the package, I was shocked to see what was hidden on the bottom of the roast. It was a ridiculous amount of fat that had been carefully hidden. If this store was around the corner, I would have bagged it and brought it back!! I decided to weigh what I needed to cut off and to my surprise, it was nearly one pound of fat on a 3 pound roast! Not what I expect from Winn Dixie. ☹️

Prices are too high, especially on meats. If you live near it's convenient, but I'd much rather drive in to Walmart or Costco for way better prices and product selection

I sincerely wish Winn-Dixie upper management would visit this store. Shelves are poorly stocked and manager could care less. He spend more time in office than serving customers. Cashiers have improved lately. The Grocer Brand products are terrible with the exceptionally of fried cake donuts. They are good. I pray weekly Publix opens a store in Monticello. This is after all the Jefferson County seat.

This is the absolute worst Winn Dixie I have ever been to! Without a doubt. If you want to waste time, this is the place to go! Not once have I been here, regardless of day or time when their departments have been open. 530 on a Sunday and their deli department is SITTING in the back then tells us they're no longer slicing meats. 3 times we've been to he seafood department more than an hour before the sign says it's closing sometimes two, that they tell us they're already closed. The absolute worst customer service and experience I've EVER had, and I was a winn dixie employee for several years. (Thankfully not at this location) they'd be better off going out of business!!! If I could give negative stars, I would!

It is a great store to shop. The cashiers are friendly. It is much better in stock, than used to be. I like to buy my cat food there. It is often more in stock there than other places.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The range of products is good. High quality beef. Sometimes the produce is left out in the department a little too long, but mostly is of pretty good quality.

I love our Winn-Dixie, the store was remodeled a year or so ago and it has been amazing since.The store is always clean and organized.The Staff are always helpful and willing to go the extra mile for you.

I stop there every time I am in Monticello. They have great sales going on and the store has totally updated since I lived there. It's like a community center because the town is so small you run into many people you know every time you go there. I think that they do a great job.

Okay, for a place like Monticello I suppose, but as a visitor, find the inventory lacking and the prices outrageous. If I lived here, I would go into the city and shop and only use Winn-Dixie as a last resort, emergency, one item shop.

Overall this is a great store. The main issue for me is the produce section. It's very large, but a lot of empty, or nearly empty, bins. It's a large store, clean and recently remodeled. I do feel like the layout is a bit choppy. It's a small town grocery and mostly exceeds my expectations.

I've been going here forever. Service has improved finally and most everyone is wonderful. The vegetable section is wonderful and always stocked. The prices are very reasonable. If they could bring some gourmet selection foods in the store, it would be a five star. Example. I'm always looking for Israel couscous, and we usually buy up the lamb and stuffed olives...😉 Thanks managers for stepping it up.

As a steady customer of your stores in Monticello and Madison Fl. I am usually very pleased. Today on the other hand I was disappointed in the service I didnt receive in the deli. I waited at least 10 minutes the first time I was there. The lady making chocolate covered strawberries even called the man working in the back. He walked back and forth several times but never came to help me, I went and did the rest of my shopping and came back to the deli. Again he walked by and said i will be with you shortly. He did not return for another 5 minutes. I will assure you I will not be using the deli in the Monticello store again.

I refuse to shop at Winn Dixie. They never have the sale items until after the sale and refuse to honor it when they get them. Customer service is terrible. They treat you like you owe them for working there and don't want to be bothered. I go elsewhere now. I would give them 0 stars but have to give something. Oh, yes, way over priced too.

The new makeover is awesome the place looks great but they never solve the problem of poor management and slow checkout just sat at the customer service desk for a good 7-8 minutes with an ice cream cake trying to check out finally went through an aisle and got checked out nobody ever showed up to the customer counter even though they were called three times

I do not live in Monticello, but stop in from time to time. The store is normally a good choice for steaks and pass through shopping. Well staffed and supplied.Yesterday, the location was stressed as a result of post storm shopping. The store had not been re supplied.

Winn-Dixie has improved considerably in the last year or so. The new management seems to be very attentive to customers complaints or requests. The pharmacy staff is still the area in most need of attention. There is no such a thing as a bad employee but employees not receiving proper training. Too often I have seen old people, minorities, poor people, sick people hurting from some ailment being treated with disrespect and contempt. More mature subjects should be considered for direct interface with the public. On a positive note I say the new manager seems to be doing an excellent job but there is sometimes problems with expired products. The store is doing well. I see the problem coming from a chaotic upper management. I give thumbs up to the delly, meat departments, and particularly floor staff!
