Can I say how *exceptional* this was???I had called the other business nearby, 'Wacissa River Canoe & Kayak Rental' initially, and they quoted me $30 per kayak for 3 hours....As we arrived, I had come across Jesse distributing kayaks to other patrons, and without knowing he was a different business than the one I had called initially, he had quoted me $25 per kayak for the ENTIRETY of our trip to the springs and back! I had originally thought maybe I had been quoted wrong on the phone, but soon found that they were competitors when the other competition called me back and told me he would give me a better deal. But Jesse's demeanor, friendliness, and assistance with various things was made me prefer him over the competition.The Kayaks we rented were in pristine condition, all decked out with Jesse's name/contact info, and all of the essentials needed, including brand new life jackets and whistles.Jesse also assisted us with setting up one of our fishing poles and taught us the proper way to bait the hook, and the proper bait to use for this area.This was /not/ the first time I've ever kayaked, but it *was* the first, and possibly only time (until I revisit this location) that this experience went so smooth for a last minute decision to kayak with friends and family.DO NOT GO WITH THE COMPETITION if you wish to save money, and have a better, more personable experience, with much newer/nicer equipment. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend going with Jesse!!!

Absolutely wonderful service and if you're lucky, you'll meet their sweet dog to pet and love on before your outing! Contacting for and reserving the Kayaks was a breeze and offered much flexibility. The pricing is incredibly reasonable for a daily outing and their location right next to the river is very convenient. I saw another review suggesting to use the life vest as a back rest, and I completely agree. I used the life vest for a back cushion and a towel to sit on as the seats aren't necessarily made for comfort. FIVE star service for a FIVE star experience. We will be renting with Jesse's Canoe & Kayak Rental again very soon!

While we were in Florida helping residents who were effected by the Hurricane, we took a day to relax and this place was awesome. JESSE was great, kept in contact with us and had us all set up and ready to float when we showed up. A++++ service and an absolute treasure of a location. If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll be back for sure. Highly recommend going and kayaking here.

Jesse's kayaks were in good shape and service was great. The river head was close to his location and he brings everything out for you. He gave us directions to some springs a bit more hidden than the big blue hole nearby and we had a great time. Price was very fair for the whole day. Would highly recommend!

My grandma lives about 15 minutes from the spring access and I've been going there since I was a kid. I've always wanted to explore more of the river but didn't have much time to do so. When I finally did I called up Jesse's canoe and kayak rental and was surprised at the great daily rates available. Jesse himself was very friendly and knowledgeable about the waterways and gave a few tips and some advice on where the best wildlife would be. Can't wait to go back!

We had a large group (12 kayaks, 4 canoes, 2 tandem kayaks) and Jesse and Austin (I think that was his name) did a fantastic job! We had arranged everything in advance, Jesse stayed in communication throughout the process. He even took calls from members of our group and answered their questions. On the day of the trip I called him when we were on our way there and they had almost everything set up when we arrived. We had to wait a little bit but that was fine because it gave the kids a chance to play on the rope swing. Jesse gave us some small laminated maps, gave us some helpful info, and helped us put boats in when people needed help. It was a great day all around! Very professional and thorough! We would highly suggest Jesse's Canoes and Kayaks!

We took 3 adults and 3 teenagers here in early July, 2018. Jesse was super laid back and easy to deal with. Kayaks were clean and included everything you needed for a great excursion!!! He even had laminated maps. You can bring more food/gear with you than we thought! Next time we'd take our lunch instead of waiting to eat when we returned!! We'll be back!

Great price and great location. Very helpful in identifying spots along the river that are points of interest. We rented a double kayak and we were able to bring our 2 year old with us. Plenty of room on the kayak to place a backpack or cooler as well as dry storage in the kayak. Will definitely be using again in the future!

Very much recommended! So glad that our friends' heard of Jesse's rental company and that we chose to use it. Went kayaking yesterday as a party of 4. Especially glad that Jesse takes cards as well as cash. We rented two 2-seater kayaks (with unusually comfortable seating) and spent the whole day on the river -- listen to Jesse's directions CAREFULLY about where the magical swimming hole is, or you may end up paddling much further downriver than you planned (but if you do, it will be gorgeous and worth it). Jesse is awesome, and so is his delightful Labrador retriever Bella, who accompanied him to meet us and retrieve the kayaks at the end of our adventure. We intend to be frequent renters. Hooray!

I usually use my own single seat kayak. Today I needed a tandem. Nice Kayaks (stable, adjustable foot rests and nice seats, way more comfortable than my single), more than fair prices, most excellent service. Knowledgeable about his gear and the river. All that and a nice guy. I really can't say enough other than easier using him than loading up my own gear and hauling it. I will be using him again.- rc
