This is a nice clean store with a friendly staff and big parking lot. They have a good variety of items for household tasks. When needing a smaller specific item, I appreciate their smaller size and closer location than the big chains in the area.

I usually try and shop Ace when I travel to support local business. I myself used to own a franchise. On Thursday April 11th we pulled into their parking lot at 4:58 pm. There was one other customer who was already in the store. By the time we reached the front door it was exactly 5:00 on my watch and the door was locked. An employee opened the door and told us they were closed. When I had a franchise, I was open if I had customers. Period. We needed an item that was around $200. We drove 1/2 mile down the street to Lowe’s and saved about 40 bucks. I’m writing this as I doubt the owner of the business is aware of this.

AWESOME service ! And I must say that most of the items I was looking for were priced better than the 2 major home improvement centers. Jason was wonderful and helped us find everything we asked for.UPDATE: Have continued to shop here and have never been disappointed.

I go in to spend $389 on packout boxes they have a packout vacum marked at $100 so I go to buy and employee put the wrong price up they wouldn't honor it won't shop here again

Always helpfull and have the products I'm looking for, I don't always prefer smaller stores but when it comes to hardware and tools I think Ace is one of the best places you can go. I can always find someone quick to help me and answer any questions I may have, I find this quite difficult on average at say home depot or Lowe's. In all it's a good place with a very friendly vibe to it.

Our business uses this Ace Hardware location ALL the time! When it was built/opened it was truly a lifesaver. Great option to avoid heading to Destin for Lowe's or Home Depot, especially for all the essentials/basics like air filters, bulbs, fan pull chains, keys, simple bathroom/plumbing items, etc! The staff is very friendly and personable and always greets you and offers assistance!

I love this place. Sure, the big box stores offer lots more stuff. But, I usually spend *way* too much time, wandering the aisles, hoping a helpful person will steer me in the right direction. At my local Ace Hardware store, there is *always* someone to help me find what I need and offer tips and advice. But the real reason why I love this store is the sheer variety of what they have to offer in a tight little space. I just love to browse, because I always find something that I couldn't find anywhere else, or didn't even know existed! I love Ace, and this one is no exception. The staff is so helpful, and it's the kind of place that feels like home (if "home" had everything that you need for anything, all the time!). Plus, the caramels at the counter are awesome!

This is my last resort place to go to if I don't want to fight traffic to get to lowes or home depot. They do have a clean store and sell a lot of products. Every time I visit this place, I really don't get the help I need. This last visit a customer helped me find what I needed. The cashier was friendly at the end. I have lived here two years and visited four times.

This is awesome store Justin is one of the managers there and does a superb job taking care of his customer. They always help you find what you need. To complete what kind of project you got going on. They always have what you need and if they don't they will get for your. I highly recommend this Ace store.

All I can tell you is that in working for a couple weeks in Destin, my propane runs were definitely more enjoyable because of this awesome, family oriented hardware store. From the giant of a man manager to the my newest 70 year old hero, who also doubled as the managers dad, this store has an old fashioned, country feel to it that no longer really exists. Good service is fairly easy to find, great people in today’s society is almost impossible to find, thanks folks for being a bright spot in such tumultuous times.

Customer service is johnny on the spot. Someone is always available to help.Not open on Sundays and they close rather early in the evening, at least in the off season...not sure about the Summer.Edit: Was wrong about not having lumber. They've got a bunch of stuff in out back.
