Been there twice now . I just got a puppy and we have chickens and turkeys. They have a wide variety of products. And the young lady there was knowledgeable and could help us get what we needed. She didn’t blow us off when it got busy . I appreciate that. Thank you will be back .

Been getting my feed products here for 25 years. Great service and products. They are also very helpful if you're new to having an animal about the needs for that animal from everything from worming to vaccines to the feed. They have a supply of horse and some other animal brushes basic supplies. Pretty competitively priced for the quality you get. Still great.

I have been using Russell's since I got my bunny in January and have since obtained 18 chicks (now laying eggs), and a rescue pig. Therefore I am there every 2 weeks. It is a very family friendly environment, they are all extremely nice and helpful. Their prices beat anyone around. I only buy Coastal and Timothy hay and have been very pleased with the quality. They are fast to get you checked out and loaded. The young men that load your vehicle are so patient with me to cram hay and feed in the trunk of my mid sized car. I love it there!

Very friendly staff. They always have someone there to load my stuff for me. When my dogs went missing they let my husband put flyers in their store. They are a little town business in a world of chain stores and it's refreshing to have him so close to home.

Do NOT BUY PEANUT HAY FROM RUSSELS! All of it is moldy and They refuse to refund me even though I called a hour after I received it and then they put a new sign up saying no returns or refunds ! Which wasn’t there yesterday or the weeks before , I have pictures ! Than the lady tried to tell me it got moldy on my way home 😂💀 All the other hay is contaminated because it’s all stored together and it’s right next to the alfalfa blocks and mold spores travel in the airI DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING HAY FROM THEM.Moldy HAY Can KILL a HORSE and GOAT . I own both of them

MOLDY PEANUT HAY ! Not good QUALITY ALFALFA.I do not recommend getting hay from them ! If you do TRIPLE CHECK ! Look closely and smell it ! Don’t want your animals getting sick! Showed them the mold and they still selling it as non MOLDY! They said it’s dust green bluish dust and peanut hay has a minty smell to it ! That’s NOT THE NORMAL SMELL

Thank you Mr. Russell for letting us borrow the hay bails for the high school musical. It really made a world of difference and gave the auditorium a wonderful atmosphere. I will be getting you a DVD of the musical as soon as they come out. Again, thank you.

I wish I could not give any stars....I have bought a lot of horse rasps from this place. I grabbed a Safeedge brand to trim some horses. I noticed I grabbed a FINISH RASP, trimming the first horse. Thinking I had bought the two sided one.I literally rasped one slide down a horses foot,,,,ONE SLIDE !!!!!I brought it back to them within 2 hours and was told sorry it's used. You couldn't even see it's been used and no debre in the groves. This rasp isn't used and I WILL NEVER BUY ONE THING FROM THEM AGAIN........I left it on the counter and walked out, sure I could have used it but the point was it was a mistake. The rasps were all mixed together and so much for the benefit of doubt.

I had been shopping at Russell's since they opened 15 years ago. I used to think very highly of them; however, I started noticing things that I find highly inappropriate...bags of some kinds of feed have been opened, and, repackaged in clear plastic bags, without proper labels, other than hand-written prices, and, a hand-written sign of what it "is." - i.e., chicken feed, or bird feed, whatever it might be. The same for other types of products. I also noticed they sell medicines behind the counter, which have obviously been opened, repackaged in little jewelry-type boxes - with what looked like xeroxed labels taped on them. This is highly inappropriate, and, I suspect illegal. Anyone who would remove medicines from original packaging, and, resell it for the sake of making a bit more money, truly is playing with people's animals and their health. They completely lost my business, and, I have moved on to Lisa's Feed in Middleburg, on S.R. 21, just south of 21 & 218.BTW - During a personal health emergency, more than a half hour before their closing time, my "symptoms" flared, due to a malfunction in my insulin pump, which had been replaced the day before, but, apparently a step in the setup process had been missed, and, I really needed to contact the pump supply company, which is an 800#. I had gone for more than 24 hours without my medicine via my pump, and, the girl behind the counter - Chelsea - asked if the boys from the warehouse could help me out to my car. I stated no, I needed to sit down, before I collapsed at that moment, and, she did have the young man go to my vehicle and, he brought my medicine kit to me so I could inject outside my pump. It takes a little bit for the medicine to kick in to feel well enough. "Chelsea" refused to let me borrow their phone to call Medtronic, so I could quickly get my pump working again, as she stated (correctly) I would not be able to pick up a signal in their store. The store was not busy, she had a cell phone that did pick up reception where she was behind the counter. I had asked when the store closed, she said 7pm...so I knew I had time to try to remedy this healthcare emergent/urgent situation...but, I was met with nothing but hostility. While I was there, the owner called, and Chelsea shared with the owner (Rebecca and Russell Bailey) that I was sick, in the store...though I had not made a mess, nor interfered with anything...and, Chelsea was insistent on not helping me, other than to lie and say they closed at 6:30pm.I told her she said they closed at 7, as is their store hours, Mon.-Sat., having shopped there for 15 years. I definitely felt she was trying to close early, instead of truly sticking to store hours. I don't know who was the instigator - Mrs. Bailey, or Chelsea, but, I know most of it was Chelsea's choice in her actions towards someone all of sudden very ill.Chelsea started screaming and yelling at me to get out of the store and don't come back! Not only was I shocked by her less than professional manner, but mostly by her lack of concern for someone who was obviously in a serious health crisis which could have been easily remedied, by allowing my medicine to kick in...though it was still vital to get my pump working properly. The only thing Chelsea did was continue to scream and yell like a maniac, in a threatening manner, and stating, "I shouldn't even be driving!" Wrong answer!! What happened has nothing to do with my ability to drive, or to do anything else - it was a malfunction in the pump setting, and, another 10 minutes could have remedied everything.I used to think very well of you all - but, Mrs. Bailey, who did speak to me briefly as I did ask to speak to the owner, was as inhospitable as Chelsea. I hope if you all ever need help in an emergency, you actually get someone compassionate, instead of doing nothing!! I will continue to share my negative experiences, if your store is mentioned. You should not repackage any foods - esp. not medicines, to make more $$. What you do with food and medicine is illegal.

Terrific family run farm supply store. The only ONLY thing we didn’t like about this store is the chicks that are sold as female only arent always female but it isnt easy to tell the genders young so its not a true problem. The best part aside from the fantastic staff is that the hillandale feed prices are just a dollar above the actual cost of the feed. We dont drive to the hillandale factory anymore because even with the money we saved on feed the gas cost made it more expensive than buying from russels feed
