We met owner’s cat Charlie as he rests in the store comfortably. The store is genuine, charming and with great selection of true vintage furniture and items, many gems waiting for your discovery. A must go spot if you live antiques. Much better selection than many other antique shops we’ve visited around the globe.

I stopped by to take some pictures of this quaint little town, but it was early so I was surprised that something was open. I was greeted by Jimmy, the chill cat. 😀❤️ The owner was very nice, and there were some nice pieces , but I was already loaded down with a sewing machine and cabinet and ladder. Maybe I can come back next time I'm passing through since it's a mile off the highway.

Genuinely wish I could give 0 stars. I don’t review many places but after my experience I had to. The guy running the store was extremely hostile towards my friend and I. We went in there to look at the record selection and he made it a point to stand behind us and rudely (and continuously) announce that the minimum price for the records was 20 dollars. I didn’t see him announcing to any other patrons about prices but I guess that was just special treatment for us. Every time we would ask him for a price on a record (they were not labeled with a price) he would say “I can’t tell you that” and then tell us the price. When we went to check out he told us he couldn’t check us out because he didn’t know how much the records cost (he hadn’t even looked at the records we were trying to purchase) and then when he finally looked at the records he was suddenly able to check us out. I myself didn’t make any purchases because I was appalled by the way he was speaking to us. I most likely will not return, as I’m not fond of the hostile atmosphere.

I really enjoyed visiting this store today and learning about the artwork for sale here. Beautiful oil paintings! The store had many antique items as well. Store owner was very friendly.Thank you.

Oh Lawdy, sometimes we over share places, word gets out and those places we love quickly become over crowded concrete jungles.Aka: Orlando.Micanopy claims to be The Cutest Small TownIn Florida and I must agree.The streets are canopied with huge Oak Trees, lots of fun shops, dinning and great historical photo ops.I highly recommend visiting Coffee N Cream, Dorie and Lisa are just too sweet!

Cool Mid-Century furniture, interesting artwork, antiques, and a Good selection record albums (not the leftover Christmas and Mitch Miller albums you always see at other shops). What more could you ask for? Oh, an ATM inside? They got you! Really liked this shop and recommend stopping by if visiting Micanopy.

Micanopy Trading Outpost is one of many interesting buildings in downtown town Micanopy. Going inside does not disappoint. Antiques & collectibles are organized and well displayed. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Outpost is one of the many reasons we are looking forward to returning to Micanopy. The second photo is the local history museum which is where I found out about the Outpost.

America(employee) was awesome! They didn't have enough of the soap I wanted to purchase, so instead of telling me come back she is having it shipped to me. The Monica's Cherry Blossom soap is so wonderful. I drove over 2 hours to get some. It is so worth it.

I recommend stopping by the Outpost in Micanopy as often as possible. There are always new treasures to be found. I always enjoy my experience stopping in to browse, shop or just say hello to the owner, America. She is so passionate about the unique items in her store and cares deeply that everyone is happy with their purchase. At the very least it's fun chatting with her. I finally got off the pot and purchased a Highwaymen Painting. I've been eyeing them all for a while and have fallen in love with them. I'm so pleased with my purchase and was confident to buy from this reputable dealer. The incredible selection of Highwaymen paintings is probably the best you could find anywhere. I'll be back again and again.

Wish there was a 0 star option!The owner of the store was so rude when I came in there. She was incredibly disrespectful to me and and talked to me like I was a dog on the street in front of other customers. She has no respect for others around her, her customer, the reputation of her business, or apparently herself since she is just so nasty. I will never go back to her store and I hope Alachua county shuts her down again because she doesn’t deserve to have the opportunity to get nice peoples hard earned money. Plus there is a way bigger local antique mall in Micanopy by 75 with very pleasant business owners there! I hope people read this comment before going to this shop.

I wish I could give this establishment 0 stars.I went to this antique store a few weeks ago, and was shocked to see a store selling pro-racism and Jim Crowe Black faced figurines.It’s 2019, and racism is still alive in this store.Furthermore, I went to this establishment with my friend who has Parkinson’s disease. Upon exiting, the woman with white puffy hair (who looked like Brian May from Queen) asked my friend, “Did Everything Go Ok? You didn’t break anything did you? Just wanted to make sure.”I wanted to share our experience so that people think twice before coming to this place.The owners are racist with a lack of respect for the black community, and discriminatory towards others with disabilities.

BUYER BEWARE: Do not pre-pay for items from this seller on Facebook Marketplace or any other platform without seeing them in person first, unless you are okay with being taken advantage of! Sellers have no problem being unscrupulous with their advertising and sales practice...It's a shame that this failed experience will negatively effect the reputation of Micanopy. This could have been avoided if the seller was up front from the start and later willing to provide a full refund, instead of sticking to a deceptive stance. Add to that, I also hope that no one else gets scammed.
