We decided to start a salt water tank aquarium and thought that we would just purchase a tank and some fish from PetSmart. When we came into the store and spoke with Kay, immediately we realized that it was much more work than we anticipated, but Kay and his entire team have been so helpful and informative. About a month in, our fish became sick and Kay was so helpful in giving us instructions on how to save our fish. He was great about keeping in touch with us everyday to see how the treatment was working and how to adjust, when needed. We consider the guys at Something’s Fishy our extended fish family.

This place made me sad. Extremely poor ventilation noticed as soon as you enter. Crusty old tanks, dead fish, fish behaving weirdly, no service.It's quite disappointing since this is the only fish store in the area. They could be a major help to north beach/ miami beach hobbyists.

Great fish variety, both fresh and salt water. Clean and disease-free tanks, not like chain pet stores. I always talk with Miles because he gives great advice, he's very knowledgeable and he loves his fish!

I love this place i buy all my fish things here, i prefer it over pets smart, they let you pick your fish. The Prices arent cheep but the fish are always healthy i recomend 10 out of 10

Worse experience ever at this store! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I bought this fish here on 12/23 & it died the same day!!! There’s no warranty on the fish. You’re better off going to Petsmart, Pet Supermarket which has a 7 day warranty on their fish. SMH.

Went in to check it out, first thing I noticed was a small supply of Bettas in absolutely FILTHY water. It had been at least two weeks, if not longer, since they changed the water. In asking about it I was first told they change the betta's water 1x a week and then I was told 2x a week. I refuse to patronize a store that can't be bothered to take care of their animals and then lies about it.

In a world so full of scammers and negativity it is SO refreshing to come across a place like this. I could not be any more satisfied with a business. I absolutely LOVE this store. I will give them all my business. I love their honesty and I love their passion. I love that they care. I come to this store at least 3 times a week. I should begin with saying thank you to Myles for all his hard work and his help. When I was searching for a tank he gave my boyfriend and I a lot of helpful information. This store was one of many that I came to during my searching stage. I would go as far as to say that if it were not for Myles that day we probably would've never came back. We didn't end up buying our tank here but thats not anything to do with the establishment at all. Anyways, after we set up our tank we came back to ask Myles some questions and let me tell you he always carries the same smile on his face with the same gracious happy go lucky attitude. It's awesome. He's always ready to help and give out information. The owner Kamal is amazing too. He is a very passionate man and very honest. You can tell that they, the owner and myles, care about the livestock and aren't just in it to take your money. ALL of their fish are so healthy. They all eat!!! Kamal refuses to sell me a coral yet because my tanks age. Myles left work an hour early one day (with Kamals approval of course) to come to my apartment and help me because I was frantically freaking out about some things in my aquarium. Kamal lent me every last one of his buckets and siphon hose to use cause my tank is fairly big. Myles spent a couple hours in my home helping me empty my tank to move it and change my filter, to then refill it and make sure everything is functioning normally and the fish are reacting well. Another time all my damsels died and the owner almost cried with me when I told him. I could really go on for days about how much they have helped me and continue to offer help. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the hobby. THANK YOU MYLES AND THANK YOU KAMAL FOR EVERYTHING!!!

For a small shop I was very impressed with the variety and quality of the fish! I would definitely recommend stopping by this shop of you are in the area. They sell fresh and saltwater fish and supplies.

Everything you need for your tropical fresh or saltwater fish! We went to stock up on flake food and filters and also picked up a couple of fish. Also taking a look at the reef tanks are always fun. Highly recommended!

Something truly is fishy about this place. I called to ask about some snails. The person who answered the phone (most likely the owner) did not even know what a cerith snail was, and was rude when I tried to ask him a question. When I asked what types of snails they have, he told me just to visit the store. I live relatively far away. That's the reason I called! Listen to the negative reviews. It is true: The man doesn't sound like he even wants to be working there. I told him I'd drop by but I changed my mind. I'm not paying this place a visit. If they're rude over a phone call, what more if I make a purchase and run into some trouble. I'll stick to "Fish's Paradise" up in Hollywood!

Not going back! We bought 6 fish for our tank 3 days ago and 5 of them died already. It doesn't seem like they take a good care of their tanks. I think a parasite or a disease also came with the fish we bought cause our other fish that were already happily living in the tank are struggling now and seems like we gonna loose them too :( Also, we never had a snail problem and last time we bought some fish from them, which all died again btw, the snails appeared and now we can't get rid of them. The new fish must have come with snail eggs or something. I know they have a great selection especially for salt water, but not worth it!!! It's a waste of time and money!

STAY AWAY! Owner is the rudest person I have ever met, he sold us sick fish with ick disease that wiped out my entire aquarium.. He cost me thousands of dollars.. Not only he sold us sick fish he had no idea how to treat it.. In the process he killed the corals that he sold us because of medication.. He didn’t even know how to use the medication.. Problem is with type of stores they have very little knowledge..

They have very healthy fish and I’ve had nothing but great luck with the fish. I have also had great luck with their corals, clean up crews from emerald crabs, to blood shrimp, peppermint shrimp, snails and all things needed for a healthy fish tank. The owner is very knowledgeable and incredible helpful with any and every question I ever have.

An excellent service, very knowledgeable personal and big variety of fish and other things for fresh water and salt marine tank aquariums. I checked the price, which is also good, not expensive. People, who work there, will give you a right advise and they will suggest to buy only stuff your tank will need. They know better ocean and fish then any marine biologists. I am very happy with this store.

Good prices. Kind service. Not much parking. Great prices on fish tanks. It's the neighborhood you need to be careful in. Lots of traffic on Biscayne Boulevard in front of location. Fast moving. All in all. Beats Petco's, Pet Supermarket, prices. Quality fish. Picked up a 20 gallon fish tank with lid, and complete kit. Really really nice. They have lots of variety, of rocks and plants you can put in your, fish tank. Great chemicals. And all types of fish food. Really enjoyed my experience there. But please once again, be careful with the neighborhood. Don't leave anything in your car. Lock doors. Be careful with your children. But all in all, enjoyable time, at something fishy. Parking may be available, in rear, of store. But it seems, in Miami now, it's hard to find parking, anywhere. Miami is very over-rated. Pricing for apartments is way above, what it should be. And it's not because of the economy. The economy has never been better. As a matter of fact, in the last hundred years, the economy is at its best.

The customer service here is amazing. I love Mom and Pop shops for this reason. There is a large selection of salt and freshwater fish here. It has such an awesome feeling when you walk in nevermind you of when you were a little kid. I highly recommend shopping here for all your aquarium needs

Bought a fish from this guy, Acclimated it for a fare amount of time and in less then 1 day my powder brown tang was laying on the sand, my water Parameters was perfect and still. I didn’t even bother to call him and report what happened because he had such a nasty attitude I would t even bother. This place is for rich folks with money to blow.

We wanted to do business with a local business rather than a pet store chain. We have been very disappointed. The sales person had a bandana to cover his face, no mask in a small shop with makes social distancing impossible. No price on display for the koi fish and no answer until we reached the cashier who rushed to charge my credit card. They did not know how to process a refund. We bargained the fish and got the difference in cash. This is not how I expect to do shopping in the US, this looks more like Banana Republic.

Visited this store a few months ago and they had beautiful fish. Purchased a sorority of female bettas, the cheapest schwartzi cories and some cardinal tetras that I unfortunately lost when I added a few more from a different pet store. All of the fish that I bought from here were bright, healthy and disease free, definitely check this place out. I can't wait to go back and try some of their saltwater stock.

Would not sell you anything if your water is not right, sucks! but its the right way, not many stores has been around a long as this one. They must be doing something right...Clean tanks, healthy fishes, excellent coral pieces...friendly staff, every one know what they are doing, prices excellent for the quality of product. I would definitely recommend this store, if you are a new hobbyist this is the place to start...thinking about it..just walk in and walk around its free..nice store..
