I've been taking my two dogs Coco and Booboo here for over 10 years. Dr. Eastham is a great doctor who always treats my dogs kindly and always comes up with a treatment plan. Taking your dog to a vet is always going to be an expensive option but it's worth it here at this clinic. I think the overall experiences I've had here with my two dogs has always ended on a positive note! Thank you for always caring and treating my babies.

Dr Eastman is the best vet in Miami. Even before we moved to Key Biscayne we would drive out there and pay the toll just to have our dogs seen by him. He gets to know you and your hairy or scaly friend personally and he clearly cares about both of your well-being. There is a resident dog that is always ready to greet you, and a variety of cats over the years as well. He gives good advice, and stern warnings, as needed to ensure your pet has a great life. We are fortunate to have found him 12 years ago.

My pets are like children to me so finding a good vet that I can trust is of upmost importance. A few years ago I moved to the Miami area from Chicago. I was so nervous because I was leaving behind the vet I trusted and putting my pets care into a new person's hands. A friend recommended Dr. Eastman and I am so glad to say I was happy with the experience! He is very knowledgeable and displays warmth when dealing with my pets. You can tell he loves animals and really cares about them, something not all vets show as crazy as that may seem. He's seen my 3 cats and dog and all had a good experience each visit. His staff is friendly and helpful as well. I am no longer living in that area but I would not hesitate to go back if I find myself there again.

I brought my cat Minnie here for a 2nd opinion and Dr Eastman was able to not only figure out what was wrong with her, but finally cure her. And he did it for much less than what my prior vet wanted to charge me. You can tell he really still cares about animals & his staff was great too.I've brought both of my cats back here a number of times since then-mostly for routine stuff. Even with that, he is very thorough, but doesn't do unnecessary procedures so that he can just charge more. You can trust him in every way you should be able to trust your vet with your pets.Thanks to you and your staff.

Most unprofessional clinic in Miami, Two days before traveling, I booked an appointment for the following day to have my dog get a physical exam and the doctor didn't show up! He didn't even take my call to see if he could help me. I had to re book my flights which cost me $150 dlls just because the doctor and his clinic decided to take the day off!! They didn't offer any solutions. Let me be clear the doctor was not attending another emergency. He is just very unprofesional!!! Clinic is old and dirty!! Don't trust this guys!!!

Dr Eastman always remembers my dog and her history of issues. He always checks to see if anything has cropped up unseen. He is very caring and compassionate. We are very blessed to have him on the island!

As a dog owner, I would love to say my German Shepherd is extremely well behaved, but in reality when it comes to getting her routine bloodwork, she is a big baby. Dr.Steve, made me and my dog feel so comfortable and handled her with the utmost care. If you want your companion to feel safe, cared for, and respected do yourself the favor of visiting Island Veterinary Hospital. Dr.Steve is the best!

My husband took our new puppy to see dr eastman for the first time ( with our previous pets, we have been using our friend outside the key, but with miami traffic getting so horrible, a vet visit will take 4 hrs!- not feasible). She was given her first set of shots.. when i came in for her last shot - as soon as the assistant saw the dog - she grreted her by name and was sooo sweet with her , it was very awesome. He was very professional and explained everything.During this interval of time , my cat had a huge cyst to be removed. He did a great job , they called to make sure she was ok - very reasonable as far as priceVery happy with my new furry doctor ❤️❤️

Finally I've met a vet in Miami like what I am used to, like what I have wanted and have been looking for awhile. Dr. Eastman did more than simply treat my buddy. He really cares. He's what a vet should be. His staff is great too. He found out what was wrong with my dog almost right away, didn't run every test in the world and treated him the right way. He didn't just give drugs to stop vomitting & diarrhea, but actually made him feel better. Also he gives a lot less vaccinations than what the other vets I've tried use. All that's probably why his bill wasn't as high as others--he doesn't do a bunch of unnecessary stuff.

It requires a special kind of people to care for small animals. Everyone at IVH was warm, helpful, and diligent. Empathy levels were through the roof for our dog and all others in the clinic. This is the place that pets genuinely deserve.Congrats on a job well done.

Very helpful. Conveniently located.There is no such thing as a cheap Vet in Miami unless you want to waste a day waiting in one of those “low cost clinics”

I really feel that in this place they really care about my two dogs Zlatan and Kira. Dr Eastman not only visit and treat them but he gave me some good advice about how to better take care of my dogs and this shows to me how much he loves animals.

I highly recommend dr Eastman and all of the staff at island vet. They are great and have taken fabulous care of my puppy. They are always able to squeeze him in when he doesn't feel good. The island is very lucky to have dr Eastman and the vet here!!!

$$$$ that is all that is on the staff's mind. Not sure if it's the doctor or the guy in the front, but that is how I feel every time I call there for my dog. My dog CLEARLY was doing bad with a fever and a swollen face and the doctor went through the motions like a regular visit, charged over $400 for the visit then sent us home. We then had to follow up the next day to get the results because our dog was getting worse for him to tell us that we had to take her to the hospital. Basically he wasted our time and put my dog ion more danger. My dog is better now after 10 days in the hospital and 2 surgeries, but the Hospital - Miami Veterinary Specialists - I will recommend!My new vet has not met my dog and was on vacation when my dog got a UTI and same thing, they charged for a UA and gave us 4 pills at $50, a week ago and still have not called us for the results or to check on our dog from the surgery.

Stephen Eastman is the laziest and least qualified vet i have ever encountered. How is he still in business? Please do not take you're animals here, i brought my cat in for a check up and had to bring him back 3 days later to die. I paid about 1500 for this experience. Dr. Eastman, you are a joke please find a less important profession.

We have only used them for dog grooming but always nice and accommodating. KudosPS - Rents in this little Island are off the roof. As a business owner myself I can tell you can’t expect small town prices here. It is what it is. If you want to save $5 go drive 30-45 mins off the island and see how much that saves you.

My 2 yr old male cat (micro-chipped and neutered) was trapped and brought here by someone (mystery to me) and they didnt bother to check his micro chip or look to see if he was neutered before sending him off somewhere else where he was put under anesthesia and had his belly shaved and ear clipped. He was then released back on the streets of key biscayne where he found his way back home. the staff had no empathy or regard for my cat when explaining what happened when brought in. Never come to this establishment.PER YOUR RESPONSE: it is not common for cats to wear collars (also because my cat has a small head uneasy to put a collar on) and you are incorrect sir, he is microchipped and you yourself said over the phone you did not check yourself.

Do not go here. I have to agree with the majority of all the other reviews. The worst vet I have ever met - unqualified, never available, him and his staff are extremely rude. All they care about is money not about how your pet is doing. He and his staff are completely unprofessional, and most of all not knowledgeable. I absolutely do not recommend to take your pets here. Please go somewhere else
