For the longest time I couldn’t find a grooming Salon that gets my dog’s haircut right. City Pooch does SUCH a good job cutting my mutts hair and they are fast when you book an appointment in the morning! My dog always looks so good and is so clean and fresh for weeks after! Highly recommend!!

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new groomer for my Maltipoo. I was very nervous taking her to a new groomer, but City Pooch did an amazing job on my baby! Penny was very happy when I picked her up and the cut they gave her was fantastic! Highly recommend City Pooch for your pups!

My puppy loves to go to visit his groomer. They are very professional and courteous. I make his appointment in advance, drop him off, and pick him up when they call me that he's ready. The owner is always there, and she's fantastic (very personable). It is super clean, and there is a glass where you see them grooming the dogs.

City Pooch is literally the best groomers in Miami. I have been taking my dogs to them for years and have never had any issues. The pups always leave their appointments looking amazing. I even continued bringing them here when I moved to homestead.

My girls have been going for years. I tried to replace City Pooch because I moved so far but nothing compares. I’ve been to other groomers and they always leave my girls half done or miss something that is vital to their grooming (like between their paws). It’s a bit of a drive now and yes you have to schedule way in advance but all of it is work it when they hand over my babies.My big girl has been battling an eye ulcer and they are always so careful and loving.Truly grateful for such a wonderful place. My dogs are my family and nobody treats them better.

I love Melissa (the owner) and her staff so much! I have a French bulldog who always smells like corn (LOL) and he always leaves here looking and smelling so clean. They use natural products, and offer a cute little selection of natural treats that I always buy on my way out. Would highly recommend!

They were so good. Took my puppy here and she is usually a furry mess but when I picked her up she looked like the cutest teddy bear. Didn’t look traumatized either. Definitely recommend.

City Pooch is THE BEST! Our dog Mapache (aka Machi) came into our lives as a stray a few months ago. He was overgrown and uncared for. Melissa was able to fit him in to get cleaned up that very day. I was impressed with her compassion from that very minute. After no one claimed him, it was clear he was meant to be ours... and City Pooch was there from the very beginning.The whole team at The City Pooch just shines. They are so loving and caring with Machi. (He is super nervous to go to the groomer - and I'm always amazed at how they handle him so easily.) He always looks so good and smells so fresh when we pick him up. This is a wonderful wonderful business!

They truly do an amazing job. My dog is very anxious, so I was concerned about trying a new pet groomer as the last one "returned" him because he was too difficult. Melissa and her team not only finished in less than 2hrs, but my dog B was SOOOOOO HAPPY!!! I could feel in his energy how much he was cared for, and that made me so happy! I'm definitely going to keep bringing him back here as the service was great, lovely staff, great location, fast service.

What happened?? I have been taking my dogs here for years and actually was one of their first customers. They had always done an excellent job grooming my American Eskimo (the hair!) and Corgi (who has a special hair cut for the breed).But… the last time my Corgi was “groomed,” they shaved her but did not cut her hair. She looked pitiful, but now the hair has grown back. I called the manager several times, whom I have known since the shop opened, but she never returned my calls.Note to management: train your groomers so that they know how to groom for specific breeds. There are lots of mobile groomers now after the pandemic competing for your business. I know you can do better.

UPDATED: It pains me to have to write this review because I love this place but I hope it helps the salon be more transparent about accidents with owners. Yesterday part of my dog’s inner ear flap was clipped off and I was not made aware of it. And this is not the first time something like this has happened, where I find out after the fact that my dog has been hurt somehow. Luckily the past experiences were addressed but this one is the worse of all. My dog is the sweetest, most calm little guy that hates going to the groomer and these experiences just make things worse. But what bothers me the most is that because I’m never told about the accidents - I simply can’t trust this groomer. There’s a level of trust that we put into groomers and if that’s not honored, then we can’t trust them with our dogs. I understand accidents happen and in this case, transparency and honesty would have kept me as a customer.—Great service and wonderful cuts! I’ve been going to different kinds of groomers for the last 5 years and City Pooch is my favorite so far! My pups come out looking super cute and happy. Highly recommend!

Our puppy has been going to City Pooch for a couple months now and loves it! Sheri is amazing and so wonderful to our puppy! She is so great to work with and it feels so good to be able to drop him off with her and not have to worry! Cannot recommend her or city Pooch enough.

Don't call if you are a new customer. I have been waiting for over a year for an appointment, and they say they are catching up with existing customers.Based on the business reviews they are great, but based on my experience, new customers are simply not welcomed.A year and a half is more than enough time to catch up, or at least balance the flow of new / existing customers.——————————————————Reply to owner:Thank you for your reply, I appreciate to know I am corresponding with ownership. I am most definitely a civil, educated, and respectful person, and I am sorry you are understaffed. I am sorry this impacted your schedule & availability. As a business owner myself, I wish you thrive.Having said that, your insult does not change the fact that it is my right to share my experience with your service / or lack thereof. It has been over a year of wait, during which I called only twice to try my luck in having my dog groomed at your shop. Never received a follow up call nor email. Do not confuse constructive observations with aggressiveness. Insulting me after I shared opinion says a lot, and I agree with your statement. Called to see if they had a same day appointment and they were happy to take my dog. I explained she is 15 and blind. They took care of her with a sense of genuine care and urgency. They minimized the amount of time she needed to be there so that she could go back home to her familiar environment. She was beautiful and happy when I picked her up.

We have been taking our Havanese here for 10 years. He does excellent and always comes home looking like a brand new dog. Melissa, the owner, runs her business in the utmost professional manner. The groomers can been seen from a large glass window which is nice to see. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the dogs are not nervous in any way. You can rest assured that this is one honest, reliable and well run establishment.

Took my little Maltipoo puppy here for his first groom a couple months ago and he came out looking so adorable! Melissa did a great job on him! I was so nervous, because I didn't know how he was gonna act, but they told me he the goodest boy. So very happy with the results and we will be returning for future grooms!

Wonderful experience. We rescued two chihuahua mixes about two months ago. One of them had such long nails, it was crazy. We took them to PetSmart on the recommendation of the shelter- horrible mistake! They hurt our dog and he left bleeding, shaking and terrified...and his nails were still so long! City Pooch was the opposite! They pet him first and let him get to know them before doing his nails. When he came out, he looked happy and his nails were perfect! He was wagging his tail and clearly more comfortable even though he does not enjoy the process of nail clipping. They were careful with him and gave us advice on how to get his nails to where they should be after being neglected for so long before we adopted him. Thank you so much!!

I took my Havanese to get a cut and wash and he came out looking so good! They are so good and attentive, my dog is usually scared of groomers but for some reason he loves coming to this place (I guess they treat him nicely). I was very pleased it was the first time I tried them, I will be bring my dog here form now on.

There is so many things to say about City Pooch. I can only City Pooch with two words, the best!My little cindy had tumors all over her body including one as big as a baseball they were extremely careful, kind and very special with her and I will never forget that. She passed away on May 23rd.Now we still have Teddy and he's a handful.I think that the only place that I could really take Teddy is City Pooch, no doubt about it!

This was my second time taking my pup to City Pooch, and I'm less than satisfied to say the least. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the service the first time, but what with all the terrific, glowing reviews they have, I decided to try their services again. Suffice it to say as I wasn't impressed the second time around either. Let me state beforehand that, yes, they did tell me the wait time was going to be longer than usual this time because they were running behind. And while I was understanding at the time, it becomes important to mention once you tie it together with pricing (more on that later) and overall quality provided. My pup was at City Pooch for around four hours, and again, I understand this time there were mitigating circumstances which lead to that, but the first time around the wait time wasn't much better. You would think that with the amount of time they have your pup, the quality of the service would be outstanding. Not so. And that's where pricing becomes important. As with most services one purchases, pricing may determine the quality of the service it is you receive. To my eye, for what I paid, the work seems rushed and not all that great. If perhaps the service were cheaper, then I'd have no grounds to complain, as I get what I pay for. Another important point about pricing, which I believe they should fix, is the borderline deceptive pricing they state on their website. The package I requested started at $35 with the very important caveat that pricing may vary depending on size and weight of the dog. My pup is a 7 month old goldendoodle that weighs 36 pounds. Even when fully grown she can't be characterized anything other than a medium breed. How is it that a service stated on their website starting at $35 ends up costing more than twice that at $75? If size and weight are of such importance to pricing, what are they basing their initial estimates on? That's highly deceptive, and frankly, a very upsetting surprise. And it is a surprise, as they provide the service first, and then charge, without ever letting you know of their vastly increased and inflated price. If when you arrive, they see the dog is bigger than their predicted pricing estimate, then they should inform you immediately for you to be able to then choose whether or not you wish to procure their services. Not giving you the option and later surprising you with a price change of more than double the quoted amount is, to me, borderline deleterious business practices. Would NOT recommend.

I really wanted to give City Pooch a shout out. I can't celebrate the owner more. She's knowledgable about the animals and just started a dental cleaning promotion so my dog Dubai does not have to undergo Anesthesia to have clean teeth. I take him there for grooming and I'm always really happy with the service. Five Stars, hands down.

Excellent customer service 👏. The Staff are friendly, professional and definitely animal lovers. By appointment only for pet grooming, but for nail trimming they do accept walk in. I love their loyalty program and Instagram pictures of my dogs(Lucas and Bella) 🐕 💕.
