Animal Crackers in downtown Miami is a fantastic pet shop, offering a diverse range of toys and grooming services. The staff here is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. I highly recommend this place for all your pet needs and will certainly be returning for their excellent services and products. Keep up the great store! 👍👍

Today we had a rather uncomfortable experience, we are recurring customers of this establishment, and I was always very curious about my dog's reaction when we took him there, even when we walked him near this place. It is usually a feeling of anxiety and impending fear. Before today i thought it was a normal reaction since this place where he goes to get bathed. But today when I went in with my partner to leave him for his bath, I finally realized the reason why he feels this way. The person/owner who received him was completely aggressive and blunt. He did not treat my pet with affection, nor did he have the delicacy to greet him or pet him, to make him feel comfortable, even seeing the level of nervousness in which he was in. he led him basically by dragging him by his leash. and when my partner offered to go a little closer with the dog to make him feel a little calmer, his response was strong, saying “I don’t need your help”. My pet is like my son to me; And when I trust somewhere to leave him, the least I hope is that the treatment he receives there is delicate and loving, like we do in our home. For us this was the last visit to this place, and I regret that I did not capture this moment before. I was heartbroken to leave, and even questioned if I should go back for him. It’s extremely disappointing that after 2 years, now I realize that he was always mistreated. Buda will no longer be under such horrible care any longer.

Writing an honest review about the billing practices at this place. Every time I bring my dog here, the price for her bath and cut always changes. I have a Pomeranian with alopecia so there’s hardly any hair to cut to begin with. According to their online prices, a bath for a Pom is up to $40 and haircut up to $70. Every time I’ve come here, I was charged anywhere between $100-$130 each time. I decided to find a mobile groomer who comes to my house and charges significantly less than what I’ve been charged here. There is no reason why a 9 lb dog would ever be this expensive to bathe. Several times they’ve stated that she was too “matted” but even with the additional matting fee, I just find it hard to justify the pricing. Not to mention the amount of time my dog ends up spending here. Never less than 3 hours. The scheduling needs to be better for those of us who have full time jobs. They may call you after 3 hours or after 5 hours to tell you to come pick up your pet. Can’t just drop everything and rush over in the middle of a work day.

I love this place to bring my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to get groomed. I bring her twice a month, one for just a bath and the other one for a haircut as well.Very nice owner and great staff.Thank you so much!!

This is such a cute little pet store!! The service is great, they’re so friendly and they will let you try out the pet harnesses to see what fits your pet best. They even do nail trimming and other similar services at very affordable prices. Will absolutely be back. Really just good energy in the place, my dog loves going in there!!

We shopped here for the first time yesterday to get some treats for my dogs and cat. The manager/owner was yelling at the 2 ladies in the front and demanding things. When you first walk into the store, there’s a list of dog breeds and cats they will groom with different prices. Unfortunately Pitbulls and Huskies are not on the list, so going to them to get my dogs groomed is a no-go. There were no prices on anything. One of the ladies at the register was rude, didn’t even speak. Customer service was bad. The only time someone said something to us was when we were leaving. That’s it. I would not recommend going to this store.

My Bernese Mountain Dog, Darcy, recently moved from NY to Miami, and needed a grooming very badly! She is nervous dog by nature, so I was hoping that her first grooming experience in Miami would be okay. At Animal Crackers, they treated Darcy with so much kindness! She was happy and calm when I came to pick her up, and she looked and smelled wonderful!!! I HIGHLY recommend Animal Crackers for dog grooming! Darcy had an outstanding experience! She has found her permanent dog grooming place in Miami! Thank you, Animal Crackers!!!

I could give this place infinite stars. My puppy Cardi is very difficult when it comes to grooming, but the folks at Animal Crackers were patient, sweet, affectionate, and to top it all off complied with my requests to keep her face round and lashes long... My puppy is perfectly groomed, with her long lashes intact and happy. This is the best grooming, puppy spa EVER.

I walked few minutes ago into the store to purchase food for a dog of a near by homeless couple. While looking what to get I was approached by a gentleman who worked at the store & heard the reason of my purchase. To my surprise he asked me to wait & returned few seconds later with two bags of food for free. He turned out to be a hero for a 3 month old puppy. Thank You!

I only bring my pup (Sofi) here. Even though I’m tempted to get her groomed when I travel for work outside of Miami, it is hard for me to trust different places with her. But waiting to get back is always worth the wait.Thank you guys for making her look brand new after walking in looking more like a homeless dog :( We had a recent and somewhat messy trip where I could not brush her hair after having taken her for a walk in the snow and you guys did some amazing work on her. This is the first time I've ever trusted a groomer!! JJ is great with our chihuahua and mix. Will never go to another place and I recommend Animal Crackers to everyone I meet who has a dog. I have been taking my dogs here for over 5 years. Their haircuts are always on point. They carry the best organic natural dog foods. The staff is friendly and make you feel like family. They will even pick up and drop off your dog for grooming and delivery for your treats and dog food. I can't imagine taking my dogs anywhere else. This is not a big box store but a small business --JJ really cares about you and your pets! I recommend this store for all of your pet's needs. My spoiled condo dogs only shop here!

I feel compelled to share my recent experience at Animal Cracker, not to harm their reputation, but to alert fellow pet owners. On August 24th, 2023, I entrusted my cat, Saint, to their care for his routine grooming. Previous visits had been flawless, with Saint always receiving top ratings on their behavioral scale and endless compliments from all of the staff.However, this visit turned into a nightmare. I never received a call to collect Saint; I had to initiate contact. When I arrived, Saint was brought out to me in distress, struggling to breathe and regrettably, vomiting fluid. The staff didn’t notice the condition Saint was in. I ended up running out of the business rushing Saint to emergency. This led to heartbreaking visits to the vet, and tragically, a few weeks later, Saint passed away from heart failure at just four years old.This experience has been incredibly traumatic. It's devastating to lose your pet, but even more so, to discover that the trust I had placed in this establishment was misplaced. Emergencies can happen, but what shook me most was the realization that I couldn't rely on them to promptly seek medical help for Saint let alone it be noticed by them.I can't fathom how long he endured this condition while he was in their care. Had I not called, he would have passed away under their care. This review isn't meant to tarnish their name, but to emphasize a crucial issue that could have been handled differently. Our pets are family, and Saint, sadly, was not treated as such.I've reached out to the company, but unfortunately, my attempts to communicate with the owner have gone unanswered now. It's disheartening to witness this lack of professionalism and empathy within their business.I sincerely hope that my account serves as a cautionary tale and that no one else has to endure such heartache. Our pets deserve the best care, and I implore Animal Cracker to reevaluate their practices to prevent such incidents in the future

Don’t waste your time with any other groomer in Miami. JJ and the staff are truly the best at what they do. I have a doodle with a high maintenance coat and they always do such an amazing job no matter what. Only place I can trust to get it right and not just shave my pup because its easier than brushing out. Thank you guys always!
