Got my sun conure "Toodles" from them around 4 years ago. My family has purchased multiple birds from her since then. She also has great prices on bird cages and other bird products. Good variety of purchs too. My family refers to her as the bird lady. We love this store and park on that side of the flea market just to see the birds. Birds are well taken care of. None are sickly. They usually have bowls of fresh rice and steamed vegetables. I even have her number saved in my phone and she's helped me with bird question via text. Love this place. 5 stars isn't enough- Ashley

There were a couple of issues, but they were practically nothing compared to the mistreatment birds go through in chain pet stores. I was very happy to find that the birds had properly sized flight cages, with none of those tiny cages you often see at pet stores. What especially surprised me was the wide selection of toys and perches for all sizes of birds, some very nice bird kebabs, a lot of foraging toys, etc. The lady running the place is very knowledgeable and told us about the birds. They had a wide range of different species and colors, even a couple finches. Another thing is that almost all of the birds here are handfed, which is awesome since handfed birds can be hard to come by. One issue is that they do seem to be on seed diets, or at least the budgies are. But that's not as much of a problem since these birds are young and a diet transition can be done before it really causes issues. All in all, great store, and if you want the convenience of getting a bird from a store without supporting chain pet stores, I would absolutely come here.

When I told my husband we were going to get a bird at the flea market he looked at me like I had three heads. But let me tell you that if you’re looking for a specialty bird in Melbourne Florida L&M Aviary is the place to go. This is a little stand alone shop located inside the Eau Gallie flea market. The owners have been hand raising birds for decades and know what they are doing. Our little bird who’s a Blue Quaker Parrot, was too young to go home right away, stepped up on our finger the first day we met him. They hand feed their chicks early on so they are used to human interaction. Our parrot loves to be part of the family and lets my five year old handle him *most of the time and if he could he would live on my husbands and my shoulder. Try to go to a pet store up the street that also sells parrots and handle their birds. The birds are so scared of humans and try to bite even the calmest hand. This is a great shop with good people so if you want a parrot (for the next 30 years) that’s a great family bird, go here!

I love this place!!! I moved here not so long ago and I buy food for my bird here. The lady that owns it is so nice and extremely knowledgeable. Best of all this place has the most incredible birds!!!

Visited with my family. The owner was a little bit overbearing and made sure we all knew how experienced she was, which really wasn't necessary. However, aside from her attitude, the shop has a good selection of toys and supplies, as well as several hand-fed parrots for sale. Prices for supplies were reasonable. Located inside the farmer's market.
