Me, my wife, my daughter, and my grandma went to this 🍦 ice cream 🍨 shop and absolutely loved it! There were so many different flavors of candy, chocolate, fudge, and ice cream. The fudge chocolate ice cream was the best! Fudge was amazing too! There was also such a 👍🏼 nice 🙂 view from the small bridge 🌉 right next to the shop and nice little chairs and tables you could enjoy your 🍨 ice cream 🍦 on. The sun ☀️🌞 was nice and warm and we loved that. But, if you're 🚫 not a fan of the sun, there are shaded tables and chairs as well. We 💯% recommend and will be going back later tonight!Parking: There is handicap parking 🅿️ and there is normal parking. I would say that based on how good the ice cream is and how many people SHOULD be going there, that they should probably get more parking spots. But the parking lot wasn't over flowing and I would say that it had a good amount of space overall.Kid-friendliness: The place was very "kid-friendly" based off of the food, atmosphere, and staff. There were small stuffed and candies that kids could buy/have. Nice place overall. 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍨💯

My suggestion is to forego the sorbets when you visit...Key Lime flavor is hard as ice cubes, Mango and Red Raspberry are watery and tasteless...you are better off with any other regular flavors! Maybe they are better! The owner should have the girls who work there try their products... they had no clue what it tastes like and how the consistency should be not do they care.Best ice cream shop in Pine Island/Matlache? Best because only one... you'll be the judge!

Good ice cream with free parking outside. Good starting point for a stroll in Matlacha. There is also a charming souvenir shop adjacent to the ice cream shop with seating where you can enjoy your ice cream.

Holy cow, so delicious! I had scoops of salted carmel and butter pecan; drenched with gooey carmel and so so many pecans. That was my dinner for the night!

Excellent ice cream with equally great prices! The employees are very nice and proactively offered samples which is always welcome in my book. The kid sized cup is 2.50 and holds one generous scoop while the small is 4.00 for 2 scoops (2 flavors if you wish). If I’m ever in Matlacha again, I would 100% return for ice cream. A must try, especially the Key Lime Pie flavor!

Lots of fun ice cream flavors. I had a scoop of each of the cookies and cream and raspberry chip. My husband had the butter pecan. All were exceptional. Super friendly staff and out-of-this-world ice cream! There is a sweet kitty that hangs out in the shop attached. Love it!

Girls working didn't seem to be having a good afternoon..... Little variety of ice cream flavors. 3 stars for the amazing waffle cone!!!!! Will go back to see if they are still off their game and more flavors are added.

I was walking to the store after dinner at the blue dog hoping to just catch it before closing around 8:50. My sister and myself went to the walk up counter and waited behind a couple who had walked up right before us. The cashier rudely tells us that they were the last customer though we had seen them just walk up. My sister tells her it’s a few minutes before closing to which she rolls her eyes at us and says fine as she walks away. We then told her we’d give a big tip trying to make her laugh when she responds “ it’s not about the tip” and walks away. By then we are bewildered by how awful she was when all we asked was for a few minutes to buy ice cream before they close. Really ruined the night for us all. I really hope that you are able to identify this ice cream scooper from hell and give her a talking to. Definitely will reconsider where I spend my money. If I could give a worse score I would.

Incredible ice cream served by a very friendly staff member with generous portions. She even served up a cup of vanilla with a dog biscuit for our dog. 5 scoop rating for this place.

This ice cream is amazing. I get the coconut every time I go there. It's a quaint little shop. Wish it had indoor seating but sadly they only have outdoor seating. Check this place out.

I always go to menchies down pine island rd the other way but since the kids and I were adventuring into Malatcha I thought to try this ice cream shop out. I came here for their sorbets and honestly it was a huge disappointment. Like the other reviews mentioned it was tasteless and it almost tasted old in some way. Freezer burned taste perhaps. I like healthy options so not much here for our family of 4 but I am sure for ice cream lovers is aok

I came here 5 years best ice cream shop ever. It was bought about a year ago so different. The hours are terrible. The attitudes are so un friendly. I can't tell you if the ice cream is the same because its always closed. And if you try to walk in at closing time, well forget nasty is a under statementThe gift shop is no better.

Came here a few times while visiting the area for the summer with my extended family. Ice cream was always yummy and staff was friendly. They close promptly at 7pm so don’t show up late. We saw two different people leave disappointed.

The location and shop itself is cute. The ice cream is also very tasty. However, the attitudes and customer service lacks tremendously. Both employees were rude to our group. They also lacked common courtesy in greeting their customers and taking orders. I’m not sure if it was an owner or manager, but everyone in our group was wearing a mask upon waiting in line, social distancing properly including when entering the shop to place orders. It was only our group and the employees behind the counter inside. We all abide by all Covid safety measures, always. I was rudely told to put my mask back on when taking a bite of my ice cream. I was more then 6 ft away from everyone (employees and our group). I politely commented confused, that I was eating my ice cream. The lady again, rudely said “ put your masks on, you can wait, or go outside.” I was simply waiting for my fiancé and his family to finish their orders. We take COVID safety very seriously and to be talked to so rudely and with such a poor attitude, I don’t care how cute or how good your ice cream is. I will never return or recommend this place. I’ve worked in customer service for over 17 years. I’m in sales and CS to this day, and I would never imagine speaking to my customers or clients in that manner. It’s one thing to ask or comment politely, it’s another to be down right rude, snarky, and unprofessional. Won’t be returning.

Great Licks is receiving one star from me because the two young ladies who were working there on March 18, 2018 had negative attitudes. They barely gave us time to choose which flavors my family and I wanted and they were really rude. The ice cream was delicious and I’d love to go back again but I wasn’t pleased with the service so I will not be returning.

Great Licks is apparently voted Best on the Island for many years in a row, which is kind of funny as they are the only ice cream shop on the island. However, they are actually really good! Many good choices. I had the Black Raspberry Chip. Excellent choice!

Not much selection. What they have tasted good. Need more selection for kids. $7.50 for a water & 1 cup of ice cream. My 7 year old says "DQ is better Daddy"

It's the only ice cream place around here. The ice cream is homemade and pretty good. But here's the experience. Judge for yourself. Four of us cone to have ice cream and maybe bring some home. One of us is diabetic and needed to take his pills. Asking for a small cup of water, the woman replied, " well, we have bottled water over there, you can just by one".If she hadn't said it with the attitude, it would have been ok. So three had ice cream while one walked to the fudge shop down the road where the employee offered a Free Bottle of water! This young lady did just hurt their business for us. We live right here, and this will limit our visits.

They still got it going on. I don't care what anyone says. Quality of the ice cream is there. 👌🏽Not a big art guy but the art is there. I think they could use a remodel at this point. New flooring moden flooring and other renovations. But as an ice cream shop goes. I go out of my way just to get it there.

My group ate plentiful one scoop waffle cones. I had butter pecan. Others ate salty caramel, coconut, and Dutch chocolate. All were yummy!! The hardest thing was eating the ice cream before it melted on this day in the upper 80s. Maybe it would be better to get it in a dish.

Ice cream was good, art gallery attached was very cool... the guy working the ice cream stand??? He literally KICKED Hector the cat out the front door. I get that the cat isn't allowed in the ice cream shop for health reasons but you don't need to physically kick the cat to get him out. I will definitely NOT be returning.
