This particular HomeDepot would benefit from employee training so that staff members know the location in store of popular items. Just about anyone I asked for help at this store had to dig for a phone. “Where can I find hand saws?”…no clue and didn’t have a phone to look it up.

Home Depot comes through for me all day. Nice helpful people, have everything I need. Great prices. I'm in from out of town and have been looking for a week for a particular bird seed for my pets. Pet stores didn't have it from Key West to Marathon. Home Depot comes through AGAIN! 💪🏽 Thank you for ALL of your services to the community!!! 😘 You've restored my faith in humanity today as well.

"Wilgrens" was working that morning and asked me if i needed anything. I did need to purchase a 2×12 in a 6' length but none were available, so he offered to cut a 10' for me. It was great that he offered. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have gotten my project done. Great staff. Very friendly and well organized.

If you live in Marathon this place is some place you go at least twice a week. Consistent service and good stock of necessary items. Plus the prices are not the normal Florida Keys triple normal prices. Since it's a national chain corporate doesn't let them stick it to us down here.

Well, I work here so let me explain one important info: if you are ordering: windows, blinds, kitchen cabinets, countertop or any other specialty items, make sure you call before coming to the Store, talk to the sales specialist of that Dept., make an appoint.this way you will get the right employee that was trained on that area, all our aprons are the same but each one of us have the training for a specific Dept.

I was at the store earlier today. 1st off, every single employee 6 total people, I spoke with / communicated with were polite, friendly, and helpful. I normally go to the Key West store as it's much closer too my house, this Home Depot however carries 2x12x8 pine which I need, KW doesn't, that's fine. This location is under excellent management as it is night and day better than Key West and most Home Depot locations across the country. I'm not taking a shot at other stores, but this store is always clean, organized, and well stocked, plus everyone is friendly, I'm friendly in my day to day life, so it was a great experience. I had a lumber issue with the pine boards, but that was solved quickly by who I assume was the manager, I did not catch his name, but he was completely professional, total pro, cool guy, and he helped me out, everyone in the lumber department was cool, so thus the 5 star, if I could give you all a 10 star review, I would, much thanks and I'll be back.

Went in to buy two portable air conditioners yesterday. Only one was on the floor. We asked Tony to see if there was another. He said more were still on pallets. He could get one but it would take a few minutes. No problem. He met up us at the front in no time. He even loaded them into the van! Thank you Tony!

I went to Home depot and Shayla helped me with all my items while I was at self checkout. She was really helpful and kind. This home depot gotta be one of the best in marathon! Definitely Recommend

I have been going to Home Depots all over the country for years and this one is just the BEST!! It is well managed. Aisles are clear and organized and the biggest factor that makes this Home Depot so good is the employees. They are all very friendly and helpful. They actually approach you to ask if you need help and they are knowledgeable about their products. Many times they just greet you and say hi.Believe it or not - because of the employees attitude, this "big box" store has the feel of a small town hardware store. Hats off to the store manager(s) because this all starts at the top.UPDATE - I just had to put in a hot water heater myself because I could not get a plumber quickly or at a fair price. Jane in the plumbing department was FANTASTIC in helping me to get all of the fittings, braided hoses etc. that I needed. She spent at least a 1/2 hour with me. I am still renovating so I am in this store an average of 2-3 times per week. and can't say enough good things about the employees and Jane - you were a lifesaver. Thanks.

If you have appliances delivered beware the delivery drivers will find any excuse not to bring them up or take any appliance down stairs. They are lazy. This was the 3rd attempt at getting a new washer dryer. If you have stairs then your better off finding someone else to deliver and install.

Love that they have a Home Depot in Marathon. The store has everything we need for maintaining and rebuilding our trailer. The store is well stocked, clean and organized. Most the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about were to fine what you are looking for.

I rated two stars for a few of the people who are knowledgeable and helpful. The store is managed very poorly leaving the employees and the customers in confusion. I've been a builder for many years and when I have to go into the store and operate their computers to get a price on a simple 2 by 4, or make a call when they tell me they are out of a product when in fact I dropped them over the phone were to look and tell me how many of these products they have left. They always leave me with an apology. I'm not looking for an apology I'm looking for the same professionalism that has ran other stores across the country which I have visited many. And my whole intent here is not to discredit any individuals because I really believe that it has to do with ownership, and how the owners train their people. With that I home Home Depot 100% responsible.On a positive note I will say that the rental department was very helpful and very prompt. One of the best rental stores have gone to.I believe courtesy and taking pride in what you do goes hand-in-hand with running a business in the United States. However by no man should have customer have to spend hours in the store in order to get help or a knowledgeable person. Thank you

I've used this store since it opened and was always satisfied with the store and it's employees until recently. Some of the current employees obviously don't value their employment. A good example is the customer service and online order pickup desk. The heavy set younger guy that works at the desk has the driest personality and interigates you everytime you try to pickup an order. He routinely makes mistakes and forgets to include items in your order. When this is brought to his attention, he doesn't even offer an apology. The manager is doing a very poor job of managing this store right now. This guy needs to be in the backroom so he doesn't have any interaction with the public.

Sonia in this location is a breath of fresh air! Whenever I need to find something or need a key master she takes it on with a big smile on her face. She's always pleasant, considering short staffing, the shoppers these days opening packages, complaining and yelling at the workers. Try doing the job before you behave like that!

Smallish Home Depot, but it’s the Keys. I actually try to shop at some of the smaller hardware stores in the Keys when possible, but sometimes you just gotta go to a big box store. 🤷

I have never been more insulted in my life then when I went here to buy 50 feet of solid wire and other electrical equipment that I needed for a condo renovation project I'm working on. The African-American gentleman who works in electrical did not help me at all. I asked an associate to help me and she said this is not her Department she doesn't know the difference between stranded and solid wire , she said that the one gentleman in electrical would help me she flagged him down he said he was with another customer. I waited 15 minutes for him to be done with these customers who are Price shopping ceiling fans. There was absolutely no help whatsoever. When I went up to him and I said hey do you have any stranded wire around here, goes can't you see I'm with other customers. I said can you point me in the direction? His response it's over there in electrical. No aisle no shelf nothing....The customer that he was talking to was Price shopping for fans said hey we just bought 10 feet of it it's over on there on the back wall third shelf up over on the right. It took a customer to do an employee's job! And then I could never get it cut I waited another ten minutes and he still was chit-chatting with these customers. Do your job more efficiently you guys lost the couple a several hundred dollar sale today...
