I am traveling and have done lots of activities in marathon with my pup from hiking swimming fishing etc. so my dog was stinky. I called salty dog and didn’t get an answer almost immediately after I called I received a call back. I was impressed by the flexibility knowledge and professionalism. My lab basset mix Sadie was ready nearly an hour after I dropped her of sparkling clean and smelled delicious! Highly recommend the grooming services offered at salty dog grooming. We will definitely be back for more! Thanks again :)

Not very professional. Waited for quite awhile to be acknowledged after entering even there was no other customer at the time. Left dog for an hour like she said, came back to find my dog nowhere ready while she tends to another dog with none emergency need. (Clipping nails) and told me she would tend to mine after,smh. Stands around talking to other customer even though I told her I had another appointment. Doesn't offer a receipt because some customers stopped asking she says, smh. Left with a big blob of matter in my dog's eye corner even though she didn't have one when we came in. I don't even understand. After more than an hour and half my Lil Yorkie was now agitated as ofcourse most dogs would be and she kept asking if she was ever groomed before as if to blame her doing other things while she waited. Our experience was just uncomfortable 😕.

Over frustrated trying to get a groomer in Key West to even call us back, we called Salty Dog. She got us in the next day and gave our Aussie doodle a great cut! Highly recommend

My moms review:If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had an appointment and came in early becasue the groomer had asked if I could. When walking into the shop the place smelled like marijuana and there was another dog who was aggresivley barking behind the counter. My dog, who is still fairly young, was scared and the groomers comment was "If he's going to be like that I won't groom him". Seems interesting to me that as a groomer you don't know how to groom a scared dog. Very unprofessional.

Was staying at the Coconut Cay RV Resort with my dog last month and noticed my pooch was in need of a nail trim. I found Salty Dog nearby. I called and as their message suggested we stopped in for a nail trim. Very polite, quick service at a fair price. Added bonus, I was hungry and noticed in the same plaza was Frank's Grill. Delicious food and outdoor seating so you can dine with your dog. Outdoor seating was limited. Highly suggested.

Just moved to Marathon and this is the only place to take your dog for grooming... She got me a quick appointment because of an awful experience down the road ... dropped him off at 11 he was done by 12:15... he wasn’t sitting in a cage for 5 1/2 hours without even being groomed like the other spot in Marathon... thank you for your professional and amazing service ... very happy to have found this place and our new groomer !

Update---I did receive a call back a couple days after my initial call. I will try them (if they'll have me) when I'm back down for a longer stay due to the great reviews.Saw great reviews about this groomer and my pooch needs a bath n nail clip. Called on a Tuesday morning and got their Voicemail stating they would call back. It’s now Thursday late afternoon and no response. I get the laid back island life but please. I’ll give them another chance and hopefully they answer.

So I had an appt for a full grooming which I made 3 weeks in advance. We had been on the move for 3 months and my Shichon really needed a full grooming. Showed up to be told the groomer was out sick. Carley(I think) who explained she was only the bather told me she would do what she could and I will tell you my boy is not the easiest to groom. He’s not a fan!! She was wonderful! She gave him a bath and completed a grooming and my boy looked great!! I was a little worried when I dropped him off but completely happy and satisfying when I picked him up!!

Sara did a great job grooming my dog. It is a nice calm environment and my dog who can get nervous going to the groomer was happy and looked great when I picked him up. Definitely recommend.

We took our Goldendoodle. They were so sweet and took a lot of time to find out how we wanted him cut. They were so kind to him and petted him and talked to him. We were so surprised how quickly he was ready and OMG! He is beautiful and has the best haircut ever! We made our next appointment before we left! Highly recommend this groomer.

I’ve left so many messages to make an appointment for my dog. No one answers or calls back for weeks. Finally I get a call back and make an appointment. When I go to drop off my dog, it’s CLOSED! like I didn’t get a call back to let me know or nothing. So unprofessional.
