Very curious visit. Was excited for a quick trip to get some supplies. Instead ended up being ignored from the moment I walked in. No one acknowledged me standing at the paint counter for quite a while. Even though two employees walked past me a couple of times.I realize they are busy, and was hoping for them to offer to help when they could. Eventually I asked the front cashier for someone to help me in paint.I was then told by the charming young lady that came: “We were all with customers” Interesting am I not a customer? I completely understand being busy. But simply letting me know, we’ll be right with you, or can we help you? would have been amazing.Honestly I had a few questions about my supplies I was getting, but felt like I would be inconveniencing them by asking so I’ll try google I guess.The second star is for carrying the paint I needed!This sign did make me chuckle a bit while waiting. :)

I have to say Ace Hardware has been my go to these last few years. This location specifically always great customer service. Today I realized this location also has the ability to fill LP (propane) gas for RVs. Big plus in this area. I didn’t see any pics on the Google listing with propane area so I figured it would good to post one. Im in a 24ft but I could see larger rigs using this location easily.

Nice place I needed a keychain fairly inexpensive and well I got what I needed ..... nice customer service too okay so 7 months ago I posted this review I've gone back several times and one thing I must say I don't know what other people have come across but these guys are super duper nice and the customer service is awesome phenomenaI i went into the store an as soon as I walked in I was asked if I needed any help 10 seconds inside of the store now the reason I'm making a big deal now is because customer service is super duper important it doesn't matter where the store is doesn't matter what the product is it is important that your customer service is top of the line otherwise the rest of the business is going to suffer as it should I went to another Ace hardwood store in the Longwood area my daughter my grandson and myself walked in there ,there were three people behind us all red shirts (employees) not one single person greated us no one no one asked if we needed any help even though clearly we were there looking for something hardware store right I decided to turn around and walk out for excuse me we decided to turn around and walk out as we were walking out the lady at the front desk now mind you she was busy when we first walked in there I don't knock her but by that time it was too late to offer any real assistance we were headed out the door going to a store that appreciates business and we did I went to my neighborhood Ace Hardware Store and that is where the customer service was top of the line I talked to several people there including the assistant manager Mr. Jake Carter I can't I can't remember the name of the young lady that greeted me when I came in the door I think the name begins with J with a hyphen in her name and she was new however she was on top of her game she was the one that had excellent customer service skills needless to say I will continue to patronize this store because they always behave the same way doesn't matter what color you are what shape you are how old you are how young you are none of that matters Mr. Carter the Asst Mgr. let us know that the owner Mr. Toole operates this way always. All I know is they get an A+ + at this point I prefer them over all others and I will refer everyone I can to this store and go out of my way just to go to this particular hardware store because of their strong customer service after all without customers what does any business have. Thank you Mr. Toole and all of the people that work for you ,you run a wonderful business and you have a great business model I wish that it could be copied for all the businesses that lack it and there are many. Definitely one of the most badly manged store. The staff has no clue and lack of communication on what's in stock. Just made a trip for nothing after I was told the item was there.

The facility is clean and inviting. But the positive review stops there. Stood at the knife cabinet for a solid 5 minutes looking and waiting before I had to interrupt a conversation between employees to get some assistance from a guy that smelled like alcohol and knew nothing about the products...Looking for bird seed, and I found that aisle to be disgusting to say the least. Expired product, out of season offerings way expired and many of the blends have filler seeds and additives which are totally unnecessary for songbirds. Take your business to a store that actually knows their products.

Great Customer ServiceEven when they don’t have to, they still do whatever it takes to satisfy a customer. They go above and beyond, unlike the attitude from big box stores. I love having a local hardware store that I can count on. And the way that everyone on the team is friendly and accommodating, it positively reflects the attitude of management. Well done Ace.

The (not) very helpful place! Too many times I come in and the helpful becomes bossy. Today I came in to refill a propane tank. Prepaid (I guess they guess the amount you'll be needing). Told me tank was old because it said 02. Kind of rude about it. Sent me on my way. I told him it wouldn’t be that old. Got the tank back to the car and found out it was manufactured 02 2015. His need to show off impacted his ability to help. After I let them know they still processed a refund rather than acknowledge their mistake. I want to help a small business but I guess it’s back to Costco for me!

Went specifically for Benjamin Moore paint. Stood there for 15-20 minutes picking out paint samples clearly visible to the two store employees. Only after I literally flag someone down do they tell me that “unfortunately, the paint mixing machine is broken.” I was literally the only person in the store that evening at the time and they waited 20 minutes to tell me that? I then asked if there was another store that sold BM paint because prior to my arrival at this location I had visited another store that only carried one brand of paint. They fumbled and eventually offered me a store nearly 40 minutes away. Fyi, there’s an actual Benjamin Moore paint store less than 10 minutes away from that shop. Now of course I didn’t expect them to tell me that but like, come on. I won’t be back.

Joe was fantastic at greeting me at the store and helped me find the grill I needed! Speedy checkout because Joe jumped on the register and helped bring the line down! Afterwards he helped me load up the grill in order for me to get it home without delivery! Thank you Ace hardware, I will definitely be coming back again!!!

The Ace Hardware in Maitland is such an amazing store with even more amazing employees. Every time I walk in I am greeted by a friendly face and I am quickly asked if I need help by an associate. They are always incredibly kind and extremely helpful. Very glad this is my neighborhood store.

Wow! Just had an excellent experience with Wes from the Maitland Ace Hardware. So excellent, I had to write a review.I’ve shopped there many times, and Ace is doing a phenomenal job in 2022, providing top notch products at a fair price with the excellent service to back it up.I won’t go into all the details, but they had exactly what I needed, as well as the things I didn’t know I needed, with an impressively professional staff and they significantly exceeded my expectations.Thanks, Wes!

Ego Mower owners, DO NOT go to this Ace Hardware for your repairs. I brought my mower here for repair and after holding it for more than a month and doing no work on it, they told me my out of warranty battery was the problem. The employee told me that they put other batteries in it and the mower worked for them. I should have asked to see it work with their batteries.I purchased another battery on ebay ($220 for a non ego brand battery) and put it in the mower, it did not work. I called Ego and they insisted I go to another repair place in Orlando. The other place fixed it in 2 days. My old battery is fine, and now I have an extra battery I did not need.If I could rate this Ace Hardware just for the Ego mower repair, it would be one star. However, the store is clean and the staff are courteous so I gave two stars. If I ever need anything from Ace, I'll think twice now.

Great Experience at Ace Hardware - Maitland. We went into the store looking for a Green Egg Grill. ( They had a huge variety compared to the Ace hardware down the street. So if this is what your looking for look no farther! ) We went into the store not 100% sure on size or accessories we would need. Clayson answered all of our questions and was absolutely amazing! We wanted to take home the grill that day vs wait for delivery which wasn’t a easy ask considering the weight of these Grills. Clayson had us in and out of the store with everything loaded in our car and helped us with assembling instructions so that we could cook out that night. I will definitely be coming back to the store for more Green Egg accessories! Go see Clayson he knows his stuff! A+

Fair prices on tools, hardware items and pressure washer rentals. They make keys, sharpen knives, bulk chlorine and the store is well organized and friendly staff are there to help. Great service and like that I don't have to buy a large quantity when I need fewer fasteners, for example.

There is nothing more satisfying then walking in to a local, family owned establishment and receiving a 5 ⭐ experience.I don't recall the gentleman's name who helped me find some very specific sized hardware, but it wasn't a task I was willing to take on myself and spend hours walking up and down the aisles locating.Wes was as pleasant as anyone could be at the front register, and it was abundantly clear that he loves what he does and it shows.See you soon Ace!

I feel like ACE took advantage of the fact I am Deaf and couldn’t hear them. I recently bought a Toro lawn mower from this location. It cost me 330$. The first time I used it the front wheel locked up and would not turn. I took it back 20 days later to the store and asked for a replacement or a refund. I explained to them that I was deaf and I wanted refund or replacement. Apparently They told me they would fix it. BUT I specifically told them I didn't want a refurbished or fixed lawn mower. I wanted a new one or my money back since obviously it was a defective lawn mower. They said they had to send me to another location. A Winter park location for a New one. They took down my info and gave me a ticket. Two days later they text me telling me it was fixed and I owed 41$ for labor and new parts. It was brand new...I never asked them to fix it. They refused to replace it with a new one. Refused to refund me my 330$ even though I had a receipt and it was less than 20 days old.So having no choice I paid the 41$ and took the lawn mower home. The very next time I used the lawn mower....IT BROKE AGAIN. SAME WHEEL. And they are still refusing to replace it. I will never Shop at ACE again. The manager Erika claimed she didn't want to get involved and was zero help at all even though she told us in advance to bring it back. Quin is a nice guy but even he took advantage of the fact I can't hear and couldn't hear them or lip read them behind their masks. Horrible experience. I own a landscape and rehabs company. I have to buy tools and lawn equipment all the time. I have never had such issues anywhere else. I will be taking my Business somewhere else and I suggest everyone double checks anything they buy from ACE or this location. I'm out $371 bucks and all I got is a broken lawn mower. Gee, Thanks ACE.
