Pepe's Grocery Store & Restaurant offers a unique combination of convenience and delicious dining in Live Oak, FL. While I haven't purchased anything from the grocery store myself, I've had the opportunity to explore it during my visits to the restaurant.The grocery store may be smaller than average, but it impresses with its good selection of products and reasonable prices. It's evident that it caters to the Hispanic population, with a wide variety of brands and products that may not be familiar to everyone. The fresh meat counter in the back seems to be well stocked.As for the restaurant, it delivers consistently good Mexican dishes. From classic favorites to house specialties, the food never disappoints. Whether you're craving tacos, enchiladas, or a sizzling fajita platter, Pepe's has you covered.

Good variety and good prices. Ample products from multiple countries. Tons of different peppers and spices. I find some prices high but then again there is no competition. They do have tons and I mean tons of spices and a good variety of cream cheeses. They are well stocked and you can call different countries like Mexico. They also have a laundry mat and a small Spanish food restaurant.

So, I LOVE the store, they sell groceries, all kinds of odds n ends, the restaurant, had i posted from my first experience here, would of been awesome,but my 2nd go around, was purely awful! I was asked first time, if wanted hard or soft taco, first time sour cream was included in price, AND I got a big container of salsa 1st time. 2nd time,paid extra for sour cream,got soft taco(wanted hard), when I asked for salsa, this is what I got, I asked twice, if that was salsa. IT IS NOT SALSA. IDK what it is, and 3 times smaller than salsa 1st time. So disappointing

It's a good local restaurant and grocery store. I had the steak burrito and it was delicious and fresh. Would definitely be going back for more.

Some of the best Mexican food in the area. Always fresh and always cooked to order. My favorites are the taco salad and fried whole tilapia.

This place has the best authentic Mexican style food. Everyone so nice and courteous. I'd try the Wet burrito. One of my fav.

We stopped by here after visiting the abandoned, graffiti bridge outside of town (cool to see). We had seen some reviews of it online and liked the idea of more authentic food. It was a little bit of an odd location (inside to the right of the grocery store) and the sign is not huge that there is a Mexican restaurant there (one at the road would help their business alot I’m sure), but we parked and gave it a try. Looks a bit like a strip mall with a laundrymat on the end. By the way, the grocery store was awesome! Great produce & the bakery items we got were delicious too!Flan was out of this world!Anyways, the restaurant was very tidy and well laid out. Plenty of room between tables & nice decor. Clean. Our waitress was timely and friendly. We started with the chips and salsa while deciding on dinners. It was some of the best we have had - and we eat a lot of Mexican food! My husband even ate it (and seconds) and he usually doesn’t like the chips & salsa enough to bother with eating. The chips were house made and crisp and the salsa was really flavorful with just a little kick. I decided to try the combo #1. Partner got steak tacos. Both were really delicious, flavorful and fresh! The chilles rellenos were spot on. Not sure how they fix their refried beans, but they were really good. Usually leave those and the rice for last, if I even eat them. Cannot give this place enough praise. It was amazing. I wish we were staying closer so we could return many, many more times before returning home. You won’t regret taking the time to check this place out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I have lived in Florida for over 25 years, I have tried a lot of food and I can honestly and wholeheartedly say, this food is the best I have had. I had the whole fried tilapia. The fish is so well seasoned and cooked, it's crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. The sauce they used was amazing, it was a fried garlic 'mojo' that was so good, I had to order an extra side. I have never had such a good fried fish, it was absolute perfection! I highly recommend anyone who likes fish to try it.

If I could give negative stars I would. We came in to a near empty restaurant and were seated and ordered. Got our salsa chips and cheese with drinks. 53 mins later we left because our food hadn't came out yet. Drinks weren't refilled nor did the waitress bother to stop and ask how it was going. So we spent an hour nearly staring at our empty chip container and our empty tea glasses. Thanks for nothing.

By far the absolute best mexican food around. I havent had such good tacos since I left California and this place will ALWAYS deliver if you want authenticity. I come atleast once a month if not more and they never disappoint. You should try to go early for fresh bread and occasionally you can catch them selling mexican street corn out of the store which is to die for🌽 🌮

Seriously disappointing food. The fajitas were basically a steamer bag of Asian mixed vegetables. Shredded chicken tacos never saw a grain of salt and same with the rice. I would expect better from a place that can just go next door and get fresh ingredients. Legitimately the worst attempt at fajitas and street tacos I’ve ever tasted.

The lines in the parking lot are VERY slippery when it rains. I was walking to my car and slipped and fell very hard. Busted my knee up it was bleeding pretty good. I’m a 28yr old healthy male. If I was an old lady you’d have one hell of a lawsuit on your hands

Best donuts n pastries in Florida. They have great prices but not everyone will speak English nessacita hable Espanol . Great selection of meats to fruits and specialty foods. Very friendly staff and baker is best in American maybe did I say try a donut

They are bilingual so if you're just speaking English have no worries. I've always known that there was a small restaurant, (inside on the right hand side), but I NEVER thought that it would be so good!

Amazing. I can’t believe I lived in Live Oak for two years without eating here. We had dinner and each person in our group of six ordered something different and everything was equally delicious. The service was fast, accurate, and kind. The grocery store has an incredible butcher’s counter and the shelves are stocked with all kinds of delicious ingredients. I can’t wait to go back and try the pastries. I can’t say enough good things!!

Always very friendly staff at the store. Always very clean. Went to their resturant today and ordered a steak burrito and not only was it delicious but it was huge! I will definitely go back and try more of their food next time! Also the laundromat that they run is always clean and never a problem with the washers or dryers. If you do have a problem with them you go over tl the store and someone will go and fix them.

Alot of unique things and food to try, they have drinks you never find in your average store and delicious food, baked goods and so much more. I like stopping by every now and then. Definitely recommend it!

For a real authentic mexican food feel, you must try this place!! The fresh tortillas were so good! The salsa was perfect, not too much cilanto (or as i like to call it.. green soap! 😝) The chicken and the barbacoa were seasoned very well, all the veggies were fresh! The staff was friendly abd the service was quick. They also had a nice selection of drinks including horchata, a personal fav! The decor is nothing fancy and its located inside an mexican grocery store. Take a look in the store too, we found some yummy goodies to take home, like fresh tortillas, flan and some other interesting finds! It takes a few minites to get to from 1-10, but it was worth the drive if you are passing through. We an going to make this a regular visit.
