I drive from Ocala to Leesburg twice a week and bring my buddy with me because he likes going on drives, and I drop him off at Preppy Pet where he has lots of fun with his friends while I am working. What I like about this place is I can tell that the owners and people working there really do love dogs, and they will keep him safe. Also they do nice things like take holiday pictures with each dog and I like to post them to my Facebook page where they are always a big hit. I recommend this place.

We brought our dogs here with the intention of 2 weeks of doggy daycare for our chocolate labs while we were getting our RV fixed. Unfortunately we ended up having to change our plans after only 1 day of doggy daycare but I have never seen my pups so happy. They were legitimately smiling for hours after we picked them up! I was so disappointed we weren't in the area for longer as I have never seen my dogs so happy! I can't recommend them enough and Carol was an absolute doll to speak to! You cannot go wrong with the pristine care and excellent pricing they offer. We will absolutely stop in for a doggy daycare day anytime we are in town!

The most kind and caring staff. Carol was so kind to care for my elderly dog. Unfortunately it was my dogs time to die while with Carol. Due to her age I requested no further treatment. Carol herself stayed all night with my dog and made her comfortable. She arranged for cremation and helped us through this tough time. 100 % recommend Carol and her staff. Many thanks!

I absolutely love this place! Carol and her staff are very friendly and accommodating, and seem to be much nicer than some of the other boarding places around. My dog loves it there!

We boarded our two doggos for 8 days here. Our doggos came home very smelly, but happy. They do offer baths before leaving it just hadn't crossed my mind until an hour before our ETA. The lady Carol was still so apologetic she didn't have the time even as such a last minute request. You can tell they really care about the dogs. They let me check out their kennels before boarding, and they have a variety of sizes. The check in was SO simple, as was the checkout. We opted for no playtime (we have a new puppy who hasn't yet socialized much yet, and a very anxious dog) so they let them out together so they could still play. I was very happy with the value at the end of the stay. We love to vacation, and it's nice to now know we have a reliable go to, I'm sure we will be back!

We love Preppy Pet because of the convenience for dropping off and open on the weekend for picking up.Kind, caring staff. Very accommodating. Our dogs come home “played out” and need to rest from their kennel time.

I when to visit Preppy Pet Past hours unfortunately. But as I looked around I saw horrible mold 9n the outside of their fencing. Plus I had heard all about the dogs that were escaping and you can see plain as day that the gated bottom of the back gate definitely has been pushed out. Looked like a gaping whole to me. So nope, not bringing my dog here. And for all the 5 star ratings, those 5 stars have very low standards for their pets care. And one of the 5 stars was in Ft Meyers when she claimed she was in Leesburg. How about that one? And I'm wondering about that Professional Grooming thats listed on her front door. I wonder how long she's been without a groomer. And the thing that reads ','Free out door play with every paid grooming lol. Why would I want my freshly groomed dog to go out in their play yard which is and a bunch of gated off gates. Also, there is a camera view in every section of the back area so don't let her tell you that you dog escaped in a camera blind spot. And as long as the WiFi is on everything should work. I wouldn't leave my furry babies here. Not now, not ever! Yuck

These reviews are very misleading. Be careful who you leave your dogs with they have had 3 dogs "escape" over 3 months and they are shady with covering vet bills. Trying to avoid reporting claims to their insurance company. Lack of empathy. Blatant disregard for the safety of the animals by not keeping them contained (not fixing holes in fences). An embarrassing way to run a business if you care about the animals at all.

I do not recommend bringing even a snake to be watched by these incompetent folks. Have never met a more non compassionate director of such a facility. No concern over my complaint of my dogs back left leg being favored. She sure didn’t go there holding her leg up when she got there.

Your dog will escape, and they won’t let you know until something awful happens. Dog was hit by a car after escaping this nightmare of an establishment. Ran by the most vile, and disgusting human being ever that do not love animals at all. If you’re a responsible pet owner DO NOT send your dogs here. The owner should be so ashamed to be such a piece of trash.

We have boarded our dog there several times and also used their daycare. Jackson runs to go in when we arrive at Preppy Pet and is tired when we get home because he plays with other dogs his size all day. I can't say enough about the quality of care, attention to my dog, and ability to help when we're in a pinch. Every phone call and visit to the facility has been a pleasant experience... the staff is terrific.

We’ve been using this store for years & years because we feel our pups are well taken care of while in their care. We trust their staff to always do the right things for them & we can travel without worry. It helps when our dog is anxious to go inside when we drop him off. If he were at all negative about his experiences here I’d have to carry or drag him. Definitely a five-star business to us.

We have nothing to say but AMAZING things about Preppy Pet in Leesburg. I just picked up our HENRY from being boarded at PP and couldn't be happier about their care for our boy. My dog always receives excellent care here and lots of attention. He is a big boy and they really take time to get to know his personality. We always get a good report when we pick him up and he smells fresh and clean.

Absolutely LOVE Preppy Pet Day Care. I have been taking my two-year-old Blue Heeler mix to daycare for the last several months and it has been a dream! The entire staff at Preppy Pet is friendly, informative and knowledgeable. They are great with my pup who has a ton of energy and can be overwhelming at times to new people. Prices are nearly unbeatable too!

Everyone there is absolutely amazing with my baby (Vito). Vito pulls me to get in the door everyday! They go so above and beyond caring for Vito and it is a huge relief when I am at work. They even baby him when it rains out and found him a sweater when it was cold out. We love everyone at preppy pet!

DO NOT LEAVE ANY OF YOUR PETS AT THIS PLACE. I have two dogs and I have experience leaving them both at places like these, but this has been the worst experience for my dog. On top of paying an extra 8 dollars per day so my dog can have some play time during the day, when we picked her up she had scratches everywhere, and a huge bite on her leg! I Know dogs play around and I understand where they can have scratches but this is too much. My dog is depressed and won't eat. I did not pay for my dog to get torture !Look for a difference place, do not leave any of your pets !!!

I would leave zero stars if I could. I won't post the pictures because it's horrible. My dog and my parents' dogs were left for 3 days. We all went out of town together. We got back and all the dogs were covered in feces. My dog had feces caked under his harness so bad on his chest that he has a rash and open wounds. You people are lucky I don't take legal action!

Former employee. If you know what's good for your dog, you will not bring them here. I thought it was nice at first but I've seen the ugly in this place. They do not care about the animals at all and rely on their contract to keep them out of trouble. If something happens to your dog, don't expect to do anything about it or even tell you about it. When a dog got attacked in play they refused to acknowledge that the bite wound on the dogs leg happened during the stay. The dog was limping, his entire front right leg was swollen and he had a fever. They didn't call the owner or a vet despite me begging them to. They said the next day they would clean it themselves and tell the owner when they were going to pick up in a few days. Please, please do not let these self-diagnosing, irresponsible people care for your babies. Please. They even have a chart on their refrigerator for dosing human meds to dogs. Which yes, a lot of those meds are ok to give to dogs but I HIGHLY cannot agree with someone medicating someone else's dog without their knowledge or without a vets recommendation.
