I used to take my three dogs here and will not be returning. I had been going to them for close to a year and my dogs always looked good. However, first my 2 year old dog’s nose got razor cut on the top. I know accidents happen and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Well, recently my 6 month old Pyreneese/poodle mix went for his second groom and his ear was cut about 0.5 inch by the scissors. The vet said we could try to use a super glue method to get it to heal back together but it wouldn’t heal back on its own. I called back to the groomer and was told it didn’t bleed that badly (it clearly had the white clotting stuff used on it and has bled a few days after) and that we could take him to the vet but they probably couldn’t do much. They apologized but I was still charged a full groom and my 6 month old puppy will forever have a split ear and fear being groomed. I understand that dogs move, etc but this is the second time it has happened to one of my dogs. Also, they pretty much just brushed me off when I called and said sorry but it happens. My friend’s dog had his paw cut there as well.

They seem very nice over the phone and in person BUTTTTT My dog’s paw was nicked. She didn’t even have the courtesy to come out herself to tell me. My friend also went to them her one dog got nicked in the nose and was bleeding at home. On another occasion my friend’s other dog actually a puppy got his ear cut. Like the bottom of his EAR! I get that people make mistakes, but that is just a little much. My dog also comes home needing to poop or pee so bad like they don’t ever let them out. They don’t like you to come in and I wonder why. I will never ever go back. I mean look at all the past experiences of people on these reviews. Just because the owner apologizes, they still ultimately did it. Not once, or twice, but multiple times to many dogs. It also is wonderful that the people there “love” what they are doing, but fact of the matter you are not very good at it. If you are repeatedly making many nicks on different dogs you should really find another line of work. You weren’t meant for it. They really shouldn’t be in business anymore. It is unfortunate because the people here come across pretty friendly sad to say.

I was looking to bring my two corgis up for a good wash and trim but after witnessing what they did to my friend’s dog I personally don’t think this company should be in business anymore. My friend took her sweet cocker spaniel in for a trim & by the end of it her dog ended up at the vet getting stitches on her tongue. Her dog is permanently maimed and the owner doesn’t want to give a refund.

Super happy with my Allie's groom. She has been so difficult that her vet was knocking her out to do toenails. She came home smelling great and looking good!

We’ve been going to TLC pets for quite some time now and overall we’ve had mostly pleasant experiences there. I have a 6 year old cocker spaniel named peaches and she’s really warmed up to the groomers there and they know her by name which is really nice. I honestly do believe they care about their clients. She’s come home a few times with knicks on her legs or neck and I always brushed it off because I know she can be kind of fidgety and I understand accidents happened. Yesterday I brought Peaches in for a routine groom session, admittedly she was looking pretty scruffy and it was time to bring her in again.Around 4:15 PM I got a call from the owner, Tonya, telling me that peaches tongue got snipped on the tip because they were scissoring her paws and she tried to nip (i do not believe it was an aggressive nip i believe it was more of a gentle warning nip) at the groomer and her tongue got in the way and got cut. The wound is about a centimeter long, maybe less, in the center of the tip of her tongue and the tongue was split in 2. They brought her to the vet and paid for the vet visit, which was appreciated. The vets main concern was to stop the bleeding (she had been bleeding for approx 30-40 min at this point) so they sedated her and gave her 2 stitches in her tongue. The vet assured me that the tongue would heal back together and would look like normal so this temporarily eased my concerns. In the waiting room was me, the owner, and the groomer who performed the service and I was a little shocked when tonya asked me to pay for the service but in the spirit of keeping things civil I agreed and provided my card information over the phone to pay them $70 for the grooming service.Overnight one of her stitches came out and I noticed that the tip was split and didn’t look like it was lined up to merge back together so I called the vet to ask his opinion on what we should do, he told me that it wouldn’t be wise to put another stitch in as it might just come out again due to the movement of the tongue and that she will most likely have a permanent v in her tongue but that it would heal and the scar wouldn’t effect functionality of the tongue. After hearing this information I was upset and so I reached out to the owner to discuss this with her. I explained my frustration and the situation and that my dog will now have a permanent visible scar because of what happened while in their care. I calmly asked for two things, one was for a refund for the service provided, and for the groomer who performed the service to go through some type of retraining at their discretion to improve their skills at dealing with fidgety dogs.Tonya refused to provide a refund because a full grooming service was performed prior to the injury and I did not push the issue further because her haircut did look cute and they are a small local business, but she also did not agree to the retraining I recommended and brushed it off as an accident. She mentioned that dogs are moving targets and accidents happen, and I understand that accidents happen but there’s no reason my dogs tongue should’ve been cut and will now have a permanent scar and it would've been nice for them to take accountability for what happened.I would like to mention again that my irritation has nothing to do with the refund being denied, I don’t want my money back any more. I do understand that accidents happen and that grooming dogs is not easy (i used to groom peaches myself but it didnt look great). As a professional in any field when mistakes happen there are consequences and we need to be held accountable for our mistakes and admit when we need retraining and improve our skills. I understand her advocating for her employees but it would’ve been appreciated for Tonya to take accountability for what happened and at least agreed to do some type of one on one training or have the groomer watch a training video or something to show that they were sorry for what happened and were dedicated to making sure this never happens to someone’s baby ever again.

This place should be shut down. They are very abusive to their dogs. My dog was traumatized for a few days from this place I asked the lady if that was my dog in there screaming she said yes and gave me a nasty attitude and said your dog was knotted up really ! not only did they abuse my dog, and I witnessed them through the window, grabbing my dog and ripping her hair out as she was crying not to mention they charge me for a For a wash and groom, but did not wash my dog, our clip her nails, and then decided to overcharge me and then it be very rude and nasty. Please do not take your dogs here if you love your animalsRead the reviews people please if you love your animals as much as I do, do not take them here I’m gonna do everything in my power to get this business shut down

At a loss for words! Why would anybody think this cut is appropriate! Then would not take responsibility for leaving this sweet girl butchered so horribly like this! This is definitely NOT what was asked but regardless this pup should not have been left so uneven and butchered…. Unbelievable!!!

Today, I took my Shih Tzu to TLC, for the first time, to be groomed. Between the time I dropped her off and the time I was suppose to pick her up, my car broke down. After I had gotten the wrecker secure, I called TLC. I explained what had happened and I informed her( the owner, which I didn't kmow at the time) that I was gonna call uber and see if they had a pet/ride share. She then told me that she would be happy to bring Sasha home. Even though I had never done business with her in the past, she volunteered her time and her vehicle to bring me my dog. I just thought I needed to tell someone how AMAZING I thought TLC was to me. ##customer for life.Eddie

They are very organized and very nice to the animals. The only area for improvement would be to have drop off and pick up move quicker but they do any amazing job and pricing is very reasonable...

The ladies did an amazing job😍😍 They are very gentle, and are extremely kind. Ive taken one of my pups there before, and have a new dog so instantly I thought of them when it was grooming time. We will be there again and I highly recommend anyone in the area who is looking for a grooming home for their fur family to check them out!!

I've been here a few times hoping the next time will be better and everytime I'm just disappointed. I have a German shepherd and she's not a bad groom. I dropped my girl off this morning and asked the young lady if when she trims the nails this time if they could make sure that they are not sharp edged after (still has edges upon pick up) I asked if they could make sure she was dry from the bath upon pickup and brushed for shedding (wet still and I rubbed her back and a clump of hair just fell in my hand)I asked if they could brush her some more or blow her out again and she said "No sorry she already spent enough time on her." I'm writing this in the parking lot. Oh and when I was walking away I heard the lady walking inside say "we're flagging her card to make sure she doesn't dispute charges" I'm sorry do what!? Just because I'm displeased does not mean I'm dishonest!

I took my dog to this salon and last time they did a great job. But this time the job was done lousy my dog came back just shedding all over the place it was if they just sprayed perfume on her after shaving her. They did not take her a bath after shaving her so I had to bath her myself all for $40.

We took our dog to have her nails clipped almost a week ago and she still won’t jump on the furniture and cries with certain pressure on her feet her nails were so jacked up. If you look at them close they are all split up the nail in to the quick. Ridiculous.

I am Extremely disappointed in TLC Pets. They butchard a husky, shaving him COMPLETELY, to the point of scabs and scraps.Apon calling the manager to see what could be done, she was Extremely rude and condescending. She was very defensive and took No responsibility for her groomers or the company.I will never use TLC Pets!!She has atleast 10 pics of the butchered dog, including scrapes. Posted to fb as well
