I was very impressed with their fish department. Fish selection was so so but I was not there for that. Their selection of tanks was huuuge. They had tons of the kind of fish keeping hobbyists stuff we would want to buy. I took some photos and will be posting them.I was concerned about driving here because it is quite far for me. Closer to me Petco in Brandon, FL never has 75 gallon aquariums in stock so I took a giant leap of faith and first time in 16 years decided to visit this one. To my luck they had a spare one to sell. I ordered one online and another one I got when I was at the store.So to get you an idea... where I live I have 3 petsmarts with iffy fishkeeping selections and 2 petsupermarkets with so so on the iffy side selections. It was very surprising what a pet store ought to look like in terms of things I would need.They had tools and filter media and different gawidgets and thingamagigs. They had the lot. Looks like I will be adding this store on my very short list of "worth visiting" stores.

So I just got a Boston Terrier 9 wk old puppy, haven’t had a puppy in over 20 years. When at the store needed help finding the right training treats, collars, and toys. The staff was extremely helpful in finding these items. The day I was there, the vet was there too, so had asked her a few questions about his next round of shots and when to get them and she was able to give me the low down on how and when to take care of that. Was also able to make him personalized dog tags, found a cool buccaneers tag and was able to get his name and my number engraved and the right collar to fit his little neck. Joined there member club so everytime I shop I’m able to build up on points. Had a great experience there and recommend to everyone!

Petco 👍 great team.Vetco 👎 very inconsistent in the handling of veterinarian prescriptions for the animals. They want to push their pharmacy and prices. Not very helpful with sending prescriptions to your pharmacy. Customer service is so bad that it has to be deliberate. I have used Vetco for 3 years and will be looking elsewhere.Sam's Club pharmacy has far better savings for animal prescriptions.Very disappointing out come.Now, the Petco groomers were awesome.However, policy seems that vetco doesn't take calls at the location even to verify a prescription.Very unprofessional. If you can't handle the business, then..... improve?Being disabled, this vetco made things very difficult.

Bonnie in grooming doesn't allow walk ins because she is short-handed. Every interaction I have had with Bonnie has been a negative conversation. Dakota was great, Ben the same but Bonnie shouldn't be allowed to work with the public because she wants to talk down to you and treat you like she doesn't need your business. Guess what Bonnie you will no longer be getting it. I have been a customer of Petco Grooming since 2013 and no one has talked to me the way she does. Unacceptable that Petco allows this.

My pitbull was a little nervous about letting them touch her at first. They was so friendly and gentle she warmed up to them and was happy. I like the part we're they gave her time and didn't force love on her. She loves going there every week

I am going to be biased about this Petco. Besides the friendly customer service, always fully stock, and cleanliness, I actually came and followed one of the groomers! SHE IS AMAZING. She has taken care of my fur baby since he was born. He’ll be 4 years old. I make the hour trip just for her. Since then I have spoken with the majority of the staff including the store manager, and I have to say they are the FRIENDLIEST team I have ever met. And most importantly SUPER helpful. Highly recommended for all of your fur babies' needs!

On February 15, 2024 I took our furbaby Rowdy to Ms. Bonnie for a bath and to be pampered. Believe me, she doesn't disappoint at all. She is amazing with our baby and takes such great care. He came home smelling good, nails done and buffed with no sharp edges, since my husband is handicapped and his nails sometimes scratches him. We couldnt be more happy with her. Thank you Bonnie for taking such amazing care of Rowdy.

I can't give anymore energy to my issue with grooming services at this Petco other than this one time to share my experience. This location is unorganized and will try to tell you what kind of cut they're going to perform. Brought in my puppy to be groomed, but they put limitations on their services and try to talk you out of specific requests. You're better off finding a local mom and pop groomer that will respect your request. Save yourself a headache.

Inventory was limited. Shelves were pretty bare. Had a question and asked a girl but she didn't know the answer because she was a groomer. Couldn't find anyone else to ask.

I call them this morning to ask a few questions. The lady on the phone was pretty passive aggressive with the way they do business. I ended up showing up 10 minutes to my scheduled appointment. Again, the front desk staff was pretty ignorant the way they handled the appointments for my puppies. I understand I had to wait in my car until the exact time. With no accommodations or an explanation on the situation like the groomers are running late I was sent out to my car and they were going to call me when the groomer got to PETCO. I went back to my car to drop off my pups. Called and scheduled an appointment with someone else. Went back and cancelled. When I cancelled there were no question on why I cancelled and if there is anything they can do for me to reschedule or otherwise. Not good customer service. I don’t recommend PETCO and I will never return. I have been going to this location for many years for my pets, 2 birds, 3 dogs, 2 cats for food and medicine and spent a lot of money. I am taking my business elsewhere as of today.

I signed up so that I could receive a free bag of dog food every 9th bag and they told me all they needed was my phone number and email, so I gave it to them. They didn’t tell me I had to download the app and enroll in order to receive our bags of dog food. So I gave them my phone number every time we were in there thinking they could see my account and that my transactions were being recorded. That wasn’t the case. So I called customer service to explain and there’s nothing they can do about it even if I show them my transactions. That’s poor customer service. We purposefully went there for the savings.

Staff was extremely helpful when I had the unexpected (and slightly stressful) situation of a rescued cat. They helped us find an antiseptic spray for us minor wounds and showed genuine compassion for the animal.

Bonnie is the very best Groomer here! I have a very small yorkie. He usually screams and cries because he's so afraid of hair trims! With her, she settles him. Even as she grooms him! He never cried! I will never use anyonevelse!! Thank you Bonnie!!

This Petco their computers went down so I did not get my rewards on my Petco card but I have no choice to buy the food as we had our service dog and this is the only place I do buy my dog food so I did not get any credits for my dog food or the other items that I had to pay cash for I can't help electronics going down I understand that the staff did try to help but was unsuccessful

I've been to this store off and on since it opened and having acquired a new dog I thought it would be the best place to start out. Unfortunately the newly remodled store is STRESSFUL! It is dark and crowded and confusing. It is cluttered and cumberson to push a cart around. I thought they must be in process of making the change and therefore excusable. But they made this change 5 months ago! They need to rethink their organization, or lack thereof.

It's too expensive to shop at weekly. Also, they charge you for a plastic bag! Now that is a slap in the face of the customer. I could support it if they had low pricing and the bag charges helped to keep prices low BUT, they are higher than other options on average so why stick it to the customer making them buy your bags? And to add insult to injury there making a profit on it... I just went there because I forgot cat food at Publix. Ironically Publix, a grocery store is even cheaper than Petco!

I gave two stars because New Moon looked good. I took away stars because I feel like I was overcharged. New Moon had surgery last month and I couldn't bring him in so I cut his hair myself and bathed him carefully until I could bring him in. He was NOT 'full of matts', I brought the vet's medicated shampoo, his hair was less than an inch short... I paid $82 (and I still tipped $10) but after thinking overnight still don't understand how a $65 job - which is only $65 because they charge for the shampoo I brought with me - turned into an $82 plus tip job. Seriously considering looking elsewhere. For that money at least put a handkerchief around his friggin neck.

I literally want to give 0 stars,The grooming was up charged because they EYE balled my dog and said she was larger than what she actually is, she’s only 9 pounds.But I tried to look past it, MY DOG CANE BACK LOOKING EXACTLY HOW I LEFT HER, dirty. And she didn’t smell of any shampoo at all.It was my first and LAST time ever dealing with them.Oh, they also charge a service fee ( that was up charged) AND A PRODUCT USE FEE .Horrible experience

I got my dog groomed here. Not a perfect job, but they are friendly. She is a bit of a nervous wreck so that might have been the issue. I think I'm going to try it 1 more time this time be more detailed on how I want her cut and what I want done. I'm just not sure if everything was done even though they said it was. Her ears were not plucked or cleaned out.

I was at Petco 10-22-23 at 12.30 to buy some dogs foods and I was waiting in line about 5 minutes for this older couple and I had no problem at all until the guy at the cashier counter let this person butt in front of me and I told him I was first and he told me no you wasn't she was and then he was gonna charge me for a plastic bag but not the lady and she only spends something like 10 dollars and I was spending 100 dollars I really don't appreciate this treatment from your employees he sure be fired if not maybe I will take my business to Petmart and your employees name was Cyrus I highly recommend you take care of this matter because word of mouth can make you of break you I been a customer for years and never treated like this

If you place an online pick up instore, you won't get the item but will be charged. Horrible customer service.Update: Another bad experience at this specific location! HORRIBLE costumer service! They messed up on a price of an item. I paid for 2 only gave me one. They need new management!!!! Never going to this store again
