I purchased a new set of tires for my truck from Pep Boys. I called them up an hour and a half before they closed and asked them if they could mount them the same day. They were very pleasant and said, sure, no problem. I had four new tires mounted and balanced and it only took a little over a half hour.

I came in for an oil change. The tech damaged/broke my plug and was honest about it. I had to wait an extra 2 hrs for a new plug to get delivered. Even though it was an inconvenience to my day, I appreciate them for being honest, and Andrew was very nice and professional about it.

Andrew, Michael, Rene and the crew of Pep Boys South Lakeland are exemplary in auto and customer service alike. Reasonably paced and priced; moreover, treating the customer with dignity and respect. From making and keeping appointments to managing time frame and keeping the cost of quality service affordable, left me impressed. My experience was all good, offering so many reasons for one to bring their vehicle here.

These guys are either lazy or crooks or both, told me I needed to replace my ac compressor for 1700, didnt make any sense to me with what was going on. Had the compressor checked somewhere else, its fine, had a tiny leak. total cost to fix leak, vaccum out unit and recharge $380. Blowing cold as ever now. Dont tak your car here for ac work.

The repairs completed by Pep Boys was Outstanding. However, I was provided a quote for the total cost of repairs. Upon arrival to pickup my vehicle, I was presented with an completed invoice that was significantly higher than the original quote.

I went in for an oil change which was stated to include tire rotation and other miscellaneous services. I saw them sprinkle dirt onto my air filter then bring it in to show me, saying it needs to be changed. It is a K&N filter that is not a disposable and is meant to be oiled only. The tires were also not rotated because I have one with a small leak due to a bad valve stem which remained on the same side and position. Due to those two misleads I cannot assume that they used the proper oil I paid for (full synthetic) or performed the other services that were stated to be built into the inflated price to make it seem like a value. Two small acts of dishonesty like that does nothing but breed further suspicion.

specifically told them to fix low tire pressure gauge again. Picked car up never fixed the tire pressure. This is the second time this happened. Only rotated 2 tires. Then tried to charge me a higher price then I was told. I will not be going back to Pep Boys. I will pay more money somewhere else that actually does the work then these scammers.

I posted a 3 star review at one point over a couple of issues I had with having tires replaced. Mostly just the cleanliness of the rims and tires after.Changed my review to 5 stars after being contacted by pep boys showing concern for the issue. Also were having an issue with a The EPB after unplugging and plughing back in a cable. The guys offered to bring the car in and clear the code for no charge. That's great service and how you keep people coming back.

They pointed out another problem with my car that I need to get addressed fairly soon. They were very professional and they got the job done. A little pricey but not sure any other car place is any better. They get my work done quick so I'm back on the road faster than other places.Update: Had to change my review after last experience. Dropped them to two stars and they should be grateful for that. They tried to wildly overcharge me for shocks and struts. Quoted me over $800 for just the back two. It's, remove tire, then two bolts and changed. So based on the price of shocks for the back they wanted $650 in labor for this. Nah, I'll pass. I did it myself for $124. It was sooo easy.I don't take well to being treated like a mechanical failure just because I'm a woman. I don't like how they tried to upsale me on other things they made up were wrong. Extremely offended, honestly.They do good work though, even if you're overcharged. And they are time efficient. Just get a second opinion.

Scott did a great job. Andrew is the man.They did extra work on my vehicle due to a miscommunication, and still did not even try to charge me for it once they realized. And, the whole process took only a couple of hours. Will definitely be back again.

I'm sorry I didn't catch the guy's name, but his customer service was top notch. I appreciated his professionalism when addressing an issue with my alignment that wasn't quite right the first time. I've been using Pepboys for years when my cars need routine maintenance, and I drove away thinking, "this is why I go to Pepboys."

Worst experience ever. Every time I have used this location there was an issue. If your getting an oil change or new tires I would recommend going elsewhere. This time My vehicle was on the hoist for over an hour and a half just for an oil change and they didn’t even rotate the tires like requested. I have looked the other way on other issues in the past but I will never use them for my automotive needs ever again. So long Pep Boys you lost me as a customer.

I found one of the valve stems on our RV tires leaking, so I decided to have the rubber stems replaced with steel stems on all four tires and have all four balanced. I was very pleased with the cost, as it was less then I had anticipated. The staff was pleasant, courteous, and helpful.

I made an appointment online in advance, I get there and was told it's going to be at least a 3 hours wait. I informed the gentleman that I have an appointment that I booked in advance online and his response was, "I don't know why it let you book an appointment online, you still have to wait a few hours". I never received confirmation saying they were back up or unable to fulfill the appointment. What's the purpose of having appointment options? I will no longer use any services from Petboy.

My experience today (4/14/2023) at Pep Boys was excellent. I had a warranty issue with my tires and PBs stood behind the warranty 100%. The office staff (Andrew, Josh) were very pleasant, proficient, and very attuned to my concerns. I recommend this store to anyone looking for car maintenance service.
